I really like this place, it s a nice location and the bread is great. I have been at least a dozen of times. BUT today I ordered the meatballs..they tasted good until I found a stone in one meatball. . honestly i heard a crack and I thought I broke my teeth. it wasn't a stone from an olive, my dish had any .it looked like a real small pibble.. I went to complain. they asked me if I wanted something else instead but it wasn't about eating more food..it s that finding a stone in food is unacceptable. I know I will go there again for coffee because it s a wonderful location but I want to warn the owners to pay attention to make sure it won't happen again.

I meant to go there for ages and finally we did. I found everyone very friendly, i was impressed with the service. the decor is nice and homely too. food unfortunately was really salty. it was tasty but way too much salt unfortunately. I would say we were unlucky but we ordered 3 dishes and they were all too salty and I am not someone who eats without salt. we ate all anyway as we were really hungry. we just had to order the double amount of drinks... I usually like Sri Lankan food.

I have been here many times and I find their burger very good. unfortunately today I was hungry but it was not yet dinner time so I decided to order fries with truffel and parmesan. she first asked me if it was to take away or to eat there. I said eat in. then she said no. she didn't want me to seat if I only had a side dish and a drink.. I explained that it wasn't busy and I only would have used the chair for 5 minutes but she continued to say no. "if you want to seat you must order a burger". wow ho rude.. if it was a pick time maybe but fries were 40hkd and drinks I am not sure but I guess 30. so 70 hkd.. since the cheapest burger costs 53.. what s their problem???? very disappointed

when you read many positive review you go to a place expecting good food. I love Indian food and I think it s an excellent location and they have the potential to do really well. Unfortunately the food is just okay. they are Indian and am sure they know how to make tasty food but I tried 3 dishes and I wasn't impressed with any. I hope they will consider to improve their recipe to offer tastier food... plus even if am not too fussy bcs I understand what does it mean to work in a small restaurant/take away.. they take really long time to clean the dirty counter where customers are supposed to seat and eat. please improve.. there is the need of good tasty Indian take away!

We love Indian food. We came here because it was mentioned in the Michelin guide but it has been probably the most disappointing experience of this kind.

I can't really understand why the Michelin guide mention this restaurant as it's better to be forgotten about. 
My husbands works in Quarry bay and had already been to the one in Quarry bay and he was already not impressed. After he tasted it he said that food had no Indian flavours. 
I know he has good taste but I kind of couldn't believe it as I saw it just came out in the Michelin guide.. so I convinced him to come with me to the one iin North point hping it was going to be better.

The place in itself is much nicer than the one in Quarry bay so the first impression as good and we came in.

We ordered a menu for 138 HKD plus service charge and another couple of dishes.. so we tasted something like 8 items on the menu.

Unfortunately I wouldn't want to eat any of them again.

The starter were almost okay  in flavour (but just okay) but you can taste they were not fresh. The samosa wasn't just friend or the tandoori chicken wasn't just made that day. they were just heated up.
The two curries they were one of the worse I ever tasted. Bland, in one all you could taste was gloves and the other had no flavour at all, I felt I was eating boiled and old chickpeas.

Garlic naan and plain naan were okay but I have tasted much better. 
I love cooking, I eat out a lot too but usually I don't write online reviews but I decided to write this to avoid to Indian food lovers a big disappointment and wait money in a place like this.
