this is our last meeting before my exam
we want to have a comfortable place to dine and for our long talk. thats why we choose a cafe.
the decoration of this cafe is very comfortable that its like going back to home.
we requested a window seat that facing time square
we ordered three sets:
Soup: the soup taste milky and have lots of mushroom and corns. yummy starter
海鮮炒意粉: this is delicious. the spaghetti is al dente that it is not too soft nor too hard. there are plenty of octopus and too large mussels that give a wonderful presentation. although it is fried, it is not oily. they fired with green and red pepper, onion and garlic that enrich the whole dish.
咖喱吉列魚柳意粉x2: the deep fried fish fillet is very crispy that worth waiting for 20 mins. the curry however is a bit too sweet.
drinks:
mine is a hot drink that i forgot its name. the name is strange but the taste is really good. it wont be too sweet. its really a nice refreshment after a meal

we visit tai-o for this peanut mochi and it didnt disappointed me!
花生茶果its a good try. warm and the mochi is chewy and the peanuts filling is not so sweet.





peanuts mochiits incredible!!!!!!!!!!! it is stuffed with filling, the filling is not sweet but very crunchy!!!in stead of peanuts, the filling mixed with shredded coconut. the mochi is soft and chewy, even better than 茶果;]





should really visit tai-o if you like chewy stuffed mochi!

we ordered an iced tofu-fa, actually i think the tofu-fa is not tasted good. the tofu-fa has a strange taste. there's no 黃豆味 at all. the ginger syrup is strange and tasteless.not sweet at all. also the price is a bit higher than the previous store we visited. i dont think we will come back for this.

we are tired of walking around so we decided to have a early dinner tonight. we arrived at 6pm and became the earliest customer

let's talk about what we have eaten first:
asian style nachos: a really tasty start. it's like deep fried shrimp dumplings, the chips are very crispy and matched well with the sauce.
tuna salad: i cannot remember it's name but the taste is memorable. the tuna taste so good but it's cold (better if it's warm) the salad dressing is rich in sesame and very tasty. i specially like the cake. it's lemon poppyseed pound cake, it's not too sweet but rich in the taste of lemon. the poppyseed enrich the texture of the cake.
pasta with minced meat in tomato sauce: its husband's dish, he said the pasta is very chewy and is cooked just right. however its too much minced meat that he cannot finish them.

their food are excellent but their service makes us uncomfortable:
first of all, when we arrived there is no other customer but the waitress lead us to sit in the middle row. after sitting down, the waitress gives us two glasses of iced-water without asking us hot or iced we prefer. when we almost finish our food, a Tom-boy waitress came over with a angry face took away our dishes immediately that we had no time to swallow. our mouth is still full of food i dont know if we didnt give enough tips or not, we left without any greeting but staring. this is really a bad experience

Mos burger: i love this burger because it has a thick piece of tomato and the sauce contains crunchy onion which really fulfill a vegetable monster like me. the bread is crispy outside but soft and warm inside, however the meat is too dry this time.
Fried shrimp burger: my husband's favorite. he likes the crispy fried shrimp very much. he said it is very juicy. the thousand-island salad dressing matches with the burger very much.

ice-cream is everyone favorite in summer i knew this cafe after reading an article in magazine.
low fat chocolate chip ice cream: i guess everyone knows ice cream is a junk food that high in calorie and sugar, therefore ice cream that lists as "low fat", "low in sugar" or even "no sugar added" is more attractive to girls like me this ice cream is really tasty, it is very milky and creamy that it is even chewable. it is full of crunchy chocolate chips which enrich its texture.

i want to try this bread long time ago because i love french bread very much
small french bread: the bread is really crispy and warm. there's 4 different kinds of meat inside, the only thing i dont like is it included the fatty part of the meat. plenty of carrots and cucumbers is what impressed me most. i think the sauce is a bit too salty but over-all, this bread is tasty.
lemonade: it is made of fresh lime as it contains lime seed and its too sweet but it a great, fresh drink to cool us down in such a hot day.

譚仔is one of my favorite restaurant and it finally open a new shop in hong kong island
炸醬牛丸酸辣米線：husband's order, he said the 炸醬is really tasty and the soup was really spicy that made him sweated while eating, however the beef balls were too small that can hardly full-filled his big mouth
墨丸黑木耳清湯米線：i tried 黑木耳 for my first time, they were so good and 彈牙, according to the notice inside the shop they are good to our health. 墨丸is my favorite topping i specially love these, their size (to me) is fine and there's four of them in total. the only thing that i want them to improve is their soup. their soup is too salty that i needed to drink a lot of water during and after the meal.

the service is really good, those waitresses are helpful and very polite.

after lunch, my mother and i shopped around tai koo, we were both tired that we found a place to tea.
mango sorbet with jelly: a refreshing dessert, the sorbet is not too sweet but sour, a great dessert for cooling yourself down.
black sugar coffee: i was rather disappointed. this coffee has neither the taste of coffee nor the taste of black sugar, this coffee is totally tasteless. i prefer drinking water:[

lunch with my mother and aunt after tutoring
pineapple salad: i like this salad very much as the sweet and sour salad dressing matches the pineapple so much, i guess the salad dressing is made of pineapple. however the bread is too dry and is not reheated which is a bit disappointing
all day breakfast: simple yet tasty. the bread this time is toasted and crispy, its great eating together with the fried egg. the bacon is not deep fried instead its slightly fried after boiled which seems healthier. the sausage is my favorite although its a bit too oily.
sweet and sour chicken brown rice: personally love brown rice very much, although the sauce is quite special, this dish is too oily for me.
apple pie: my favorite among the three, the apple is rich in cinnamon taste, the short-bread tart is crispy and tasty, this icy dessert is refreshing
walnut brownie: this cake is not too sweet as brownie used to be and its too dry. there is not too many walnut can be found.
i didnt try the cheesecake but my mother like it very much.she said its creamy and milky.
