My cousin is back from Australia after his 2 years working holiday. He did not have Korean bbq in Australia so we decided to have it in HK as his welcome back dinner.Since Korean bbq is so popular in HK, I did not have Korean bbq buffet for long. Since Korean bbq is so popular in HK, I did not have Korean bbq buffet for long. The food quality of most Korean bbq restaurants is ok but the price is quite expensive.
Concerning the budget, we chose this Korean bbq buffet finally after reviewing its price and food reviews on Openrice.
The dinner buffet cost $178 per head as we booked the table at 7:30pm. If we could arrive after 8:45pm, it cost $158 per head. But of course, it is always better for us to finish dinner earlier to avoid gaining too much fat.
The environment is quite nice, the seats are spacious and we got a table next to the window. Most seats are sofa seats and our seats are big enough for 6 people.
The bbq pan embedded on the table looks new and the design is good that the bbq smoke can be absorbed quickly.
There are so many different kinds of food available at the buffet area! Korean bbq food is just one of the many choices! The setting is like the buffet area at hotel.
The dessert area is near the entrance and so many creative desserts can be made such as DIY waffle and fried ice cream! The drinks are free to get including soft drinks and tea.
Next to the dessert area, you can find sushi and sashimi. I got salmon sashimi, the portion was small which is good for buffet and the sashimi tasted fresh.
I love the grilled salmon sushi too. It tasted juicy and the seasoning was just right.You can also find mussels and shrimps if you like seafood but I did not try both.
For hot food, you can find the famous Korean chicken soup but I am a bit disappointed that the taste was too light.
At the bbq food area, you can find different meat, seafood and vegetables. We took some beef and chicken to grill and the taste were good. The meat was juicy and seasoned well.
I chose strawberry cake and matcha monchi as desserts and both were delicious! The biscuits layers of the strawberry cake were crispy. The matcha monchi was soft and not too sweet. If you are matcha lover, don’t miss it!
According to the price, the food quality and the environment, this restaurant is really a good choice if you want to have Korean bbq buffet.
