Ramen Jo - A Japanese ramen shop in Causeway Bay. This ramen shop simply just stands out from the budding ramen shops around Hong Kong, by its authenticity and maintenance of quality.The interior of the shop. This is called the ‘Mountain’ ramen. Just take a look at the mountainous vegetables in that bowl. I particularly liked the broth and the barbecued pork. Those who are looking for healthy version of ramen should definitely order this, as there are loads of vegetables, and pretty refreshing. The dried burito flakes totally enhanced the whole ramen broth to another level.
Another dish that I tried was Spicy Ramen. It’s light and not oily. I think most people could take this spiciness. Broth had slight ‘milky’ taste, and ramen was cooked al dente. Thin ramen was used for this soup base, while a thicker version was used for the others. I actually liked how the flavor of the ramen stayed in my palate when eating halfway. Thumb up for the charsiu too. (Hmm, not sure if I can ask for extra spicy next time or not )
