It’s about time to meet up with CH again, been a while since we meet, right, a place that is easy to get home, and with shelter so we don’t need to walk under the rain = restaurant in a shopping mall.Dondonya was our pick, we want raw food but not sushi, and some cooked item, so we ditched Senryo this time. We picked the scallop and ice plant salad for the greens, the dressing is tangy and refreshing. Thin slices of raw scallops, ice plant, greens, raddish and caviar gave a good combination of texture!

Egg rolls with eel was one of the highlight! Although the eel piece wasn’t big compare to the egg roll, but the egg roll was made juicy and tender which went so well with the eel, thumbs up!

We are not a huge fan off carbs especially for dinner, so we just wanna make things simple and ordered on donburi to share between us. CH can’t do any crabs or shrimps so we had limited choices, so we end up picked the sea bream sanshoku rice bowl. To make it simple, sea beams, sea urchin and salmon roe trio rice! A good portion for us, the sea urchin doesn’t look too appealing, luckily it still taste fresh, I am not a fan of sea beam, but the salmon row is good (and I didn’t notice they all hide underneath the sea urchin.

Our bill turns out to be less than $700, not cheap but reasonable and a good variety. By the way, they are doing some sort of celebration so you will get a booklet with recipes and coupon if you make any purchase above $200, and if you order their promotion items you will get a stamp card, with 6 stamps you will be rewarded with a complementary donburi (promotion item).
