It was my birthday and my hubby booked this restaurant. It was located inside a cozy hotel. When we went there, there were only 2 table of customers. I am afraid that the restaurant cannot survive the expensive rent in Tsim Sha Tsui!
We decided to try the Tasting menu. There are usually two choices for the courses. So we ordered different choices in order to try out more dishes.
The most remarkable dish was the Salmon cooked in 6 different styles. (including raw, smoked, pan fried, salmon egg, inside the sauces...) This is the most delicious one and when friends asked me, I could only record this one. The one is fish... I am not sure if the fish is raw, or cooked, or smoked. Anyway, it taste good. The white sauce is made by 海膽, that you can hardly recognize it. The salmon again! As it is cooked, you may think that it is very dry and hard , just like others in other restaurant. But salmon is juicy, not over-cooked. The main content of this dish is the bird's egg, which is not special. There are some nuts around and the staff said that they are made from Christmas flower. The soup comes with only the beef at the bottom of the dish. The tree style leaf is still erected. Then the staff will pour out the beef soup on it. I tried not to destory the "tree" and drink the soup only (without eating the beef at the same time). I found that it will be less tasty, as the soup itself is too fade. Finally, I drank the soup together with the beef. Then the taste of the beef came out and made the taste of the soup just fit. The favourite meat ball in this restaurant. But we were quite full at that time. (even though you can see the portion is very small, but when they added together, you still become full) Not special. And the staff said that the rasberry jam is important part of this dish. But I was not impressed by it. Sometimes I think the jam is not very match with the meat ball. Then we go to the dessert. The first one is the starrwberry mouss. The look is beautiful. Taste normal. The small dark red nuts around is very sour. The second one , which we guess can be eat later than we finish the mouss, is actually ice-cream inside the nuts! Hubby said that this is better than the starrwberry one. =good =normal
Although there are some dishes good and some dishes normal, and it is quite expensive! Around $800 per head. There are many choices near TST. I am afraid that the restaurant cannot stay long as there are only 3 more table of customers for that night. I hope this restaurant can sustain, in order to let us have different choices of food from different countries like the Northern Europe. I will still give a "Happy Face".
