Tim Kee is famous for its BÁNH MÌ , Vietnamese baguette with French pâté , 5-spiced pork belly, salty pork knuckle and vietnamese sausage.
I was not sure if it tasted really THAT good, or just because i was too hungry but nonetheless I LIKE IT !
There are mainly three types of food for you to choose from
1) Large baguette
2) Small Baguette
3) Garlic Bread
People usually come here for these 3 choices but not those drinks or noodles ( this makes perfect sense).
We ordered a SMALL BAGUETTE and VIETNAMESE SPRING ROLLS to share.
SMALL BAGUETTE $29
THIS WAS SO GOOD !
The baguette was made to order, which can ensure that it is heavenly crispy when you get it ( of course you have to wait for such good food but it is definitely worth waiting! )
I love the play of textures, the bread was scrumptiously crusty but meanwhile it had a soft interior with different kinds of filling, WELL PLAY OF TEXTURES INDEED!
The filling of the baguette was rich and flavorful, the pickled carrots and tomatoes were a highlight!
They magically made the whole thing less filling and heavy!
I felt like a small one wasn't enough for me D :
I have to come back and get a large one next time!
VIETNAMESE SPRING ROLLS $12 FOR 3
The baguette was SOOOOO GOOD that i didn't even wanna try the spring rolls hahaha
They were really mediocre and i prefer freshly deep fried spring rolls : P
I guess you have to stick with the baguette whenever you come here!
Baguette was amazing, i have to admit that it is famous for a reason !

佐敦一直都是平民美食的集中地,
用盡雙手的指頭也未能數盡心裡Wish List上的店子,
相約好友於這夜先闖三關..
自然是衝著這裡赫赫有名的法包而來,
到步之時,
店內約有七八人在等侯,
落單後等約十五分鐘,
美食便已入手..
蒜蓉包
也許蒜蓉包會更適合你,
包身的香跟脆絕對是主角,
好友已不是首次吃它了,
還是讚不絕口..
小法包
名物出場,
焗得香脆的包身不在話下,
內裡的主角們各司其職,
以魚露醃製的紅蘿蔔絲,
以豬肝及豬肉拌勻而製的嚼肉,
鹹香的豬手肉,
純瘦肉製成的扎肉,
油香豐盛的豬腩肉,
還有惹味的黑胡椒,
可歁細味的環節與層次之多令我訝異,
著實大愛!
邊吃邊在渡船街慢步,
轉了幾圈,
看見下次目標的老趙及堂記後,
逐向串燒店邁進..

i'm usually not a fan of french baguette but this small place makes amazing vry delicious french baguette with nice vietnamese stuffing. Love the crunchy crust & fluffy soft interior. you wouldn't mind to wait for a little longer to the freshly made sandwich.

在香港想吃法式包,我便會想起在佐敦的老字號小店添記。來到渡船角,看到老趙那條街轉入就是了。
我跟老闆點了一個小法包,付過錢後便拿著號碼牌等老闆做包。這裡每一隻包都是即點即制,正一新鮮熱辣。
除了最多人買的招牌法包和蒜蓉包外,也有扎肉,豬手,凍春卷甚至即食麵(當然也是未煮的)等等外賣帶走。
烘過的法式包吃起來鬆脆,夾著餡料如鹹豬手肉,五香腩肉,扎肉,醃過的紅蘿蔔絲,蕃茄和青瓜肉醬等,味道鹹香又清新,水準依然,好吃!
包以外的其他食物和飲品

放工後,與同事去了佐敦渡船街一帶 happy hour,我們在九龍港鐵站下車,步行約 10 分鐘便可到達。
去了「添記法式三文治」。
店舖獨賣兩款麵包。一種是越式法包(分大/小),另一種是蒜蓉包,價錢確實頗貴!
我點了小法包($27),法包香脆鬆軟,法包內有嚼肉、扎肉、腩肉及鹹豬手,又脆又帶有鹹香。絕對好吃!一試難忘~

放工後,與同事去了佐敦渡船街一帶 happy hour,佐敦我常去,但從沒去過渡船街那邊,這次是我第一次在這帶「掃街」。
我們在九龍港鐵站下車,步行約 10 分鐘便可到達。
第一站選擇去「添記法式三文治」。
在網絡上看回 2011 年 TVB 的《街坊廚神》,見到金剛、小儀的介紹,便來一趟吧!
一間約近 200 呎的店舖。
招牌。
好多不同國家也報導過呢!
店舖獨賣兩款麵包。一是越式法包,二是蒜蓉包,價錢確實頗貴!店舖還有售賣小量其他越式雜乾貨,如:即食麵和蝦片等等。
老闆會把嚼肉、扎肉、腩肉及鹹豬手肉塞進法包內,再噴上少量水分,然後放入焗爐中烤熱,數分鐘後,便能製成一個既脆又帶有鹹香的法式三文治。
我點了小法包($27),法包香脆鬆軟,絕對好吃!一試難忘~
請繼續支持小店,不要讓它們因大型連鎖店的壟斷下,而被迫成為犧牲品。我真的不想看到!很痛心。你會是嗎?

近日被安排到ICC上班,午飯時間跟同事來到這裡買包。
我用餐當日的前一天,同事發現了這裡,他們喜歡得要連續食兩天。
店裡主要賣包,餡料劃一,收費清晰。
我點了個小法包。
原來包裡有4款肉:豬手,扎肉,XX,YY(忘了)。全部都預先夾在麵包內,有客人點選後老闆就會將有餡的麵包放到焗爐裡烘。烘暖了,老闆會逐一把蕃茄,蘿蔔絲等配菜放在麵包上,並加上胡椒粉提升味道。
如果客人點辣的(有分大辣,中辣,小辣等),老闆會拿出秘密的辣椒剪碎加入。有同事點小辣,看他吃得有點吃力,要中
途休息。
另外同事幫大家都加一片蒜蓉包。同樣是烘得很脆的。

I have always wanted to try the baguettes here, but the location is far from the nearest MTR stations.
As I was coming by MTR, I could only choose between Jordan or Austin station to get off.
Made the mistake of choosing AUSTIN even though it was slightly nearer because you need to interchange trains about three times and the trains run on a five minute frequency which I could have walked from the Jordan stop.
What made it worse was that it was raining heavily that day when I got there so I couldn’t exactly give up!
Anyway finally got there and ordered the baguette.
Basically there were only three choices: garlic bread, small baguette and large bagette.
While I was waiting I saw some magazine clippings featuring their baguettes and there are four primary ingredients that they put in which are five spice belly, vietnamese sausage, salted pork knuckle, French pate (I am guessing it is french pate because I cant read the chinese).
When it was made, butter and mayonnaise was spread on the baguette first and it was filled with picked carrots, tomato slices and those four meats.
Usually I am picky and would pick out any fat pieces but when I knew it had pork belly after reading the feature it was too late so I left them in there, and secondly there probably wasn’t much pork belly in there in comparison to the baguette.
Luckily all the fillings in the baguette were heavily flavoured I could not taste the pork belly and the squishy fat!
The salted pork knuckles and French pate tasted the strongest and nice too.
There was strong black pepper in the baguette too. In comparison to Mr Baguette at Fortress hill and Wan Chai, I prefer the baguette here because there is pate, but at Mr Baguette there are more choices.
I liked the pate so much that I ordered an extra piece of garlic bread and pate so I could get a better taste of the pate. I should have done that with the pork knuckle too.

終於有機會一試這聞名已久的法式三文治!如不是小鬼雞帶路,我相信我沒可能自行來到......
舖子細細,桌及地面都滿佈麵包碎
。門是關上的。一進舖已有4人在等候,氣氛出奇地寂靜。6個人12隻眼死死地盯著一部小小的電視,間中低聲耳語,老闆低著頭密密手密密手地造三文治和蒜蓉包 ... 好詭異的氣氛 ...
小法包 - 被餡料塞得滿滿的小法包,烤得香脆可口。兩人分享一個已很足夠!具體有什麼餡料我不太清楚,但當中有像肉肝的味道,很香!
蒜蓉包 - 比法包還要出色!蒜蓉味濃郁,如小法包一樣香脆可口,但又不會太乾,絕對值得一試!

這日在九龍站,突然回憶起添記法式包的美味,便動身前往不遠處的渡船角吃個小法式包。
小店仍是老模樣。老闆還是不停手地為人客即點即製法式包或蒜茸包,再放到焗爐加熱。由於店內剛有2批人在等外賣,所以這日我的小法式包要等得比較久,這個小小的等待我當然不會介意。
終於到我的法式包出爐了!新鮮出爐的法式包烘得鬆脆。裡面的饀料有鹹豬手,五香腩肉,扎肉,肉醬,配上醃過的紅蘿蔔絲,蕃茄和青瓜等,把法式包塞得滿滿。味道方面,吃起來有來自各款肉類的咸香,而各款醃蔬菜類帶來了酸和爽又同時可平衡一下肉類,加上胡椒和黑椒提味,味覺真的很豐富好好吃!
在來貨百物騰貴的日子,添記亦有調整了價錢。回看我在上年年中來拍的照片,法式包的價錢亦已由那時的$24(小)和$46(大)加到今天的$27(小)和$52(大),還好出品品質保持到。希望這小店能加油,別被什麼連鎖店、地產霸權等洪水猛獸吞噬掉。
