The Xmas polar bear promotion is very appealing. Weeks before the exact launch of the seasonal promotion, I received eNewsletter from Pacific Coffee and decided to give a try. If you want to have a nice feeling of it, better taste it in this particular chained shop, where window view of the Shatin street scene can enlighten your day, unlike the restricted cramped shop in the Shatin New City Plaza minutes away from here. Perhaps it was the sunshine, variety of book choices and the cozy seating in this shop, the coffee experience I had here that drives me to jot my comments here - to share its nice experience of a coffee break! After all, a comment on food about any chain shop would be quite a silly act.. it's too convenient, everybody can try it and have their personal decision on whether they like it or not.. and it's not much for me to say as any "contributive" suggestion/ advice to take.. unless sometimes it really sucks and you hate seeing people helplessly being tempted to be victim of it! I can name an example here: the pinky salt latte offered by Pacific early this year - no temptation when you see the real product.. no assocation with pink of any sort.. the only stuff that left in your taste buds would be simply a salty coffee I'm fed up with trying it again! Now the food.. however unwilling it is to comment, I'd still share what I feel about the taste of the dessert and coffee.1. The black forest cakeThe black forest cake is rich in layers - chocolate cake rich in flavor, white moose in the middle like layer of snow I could experienced with smoothness, sweet sour feeling of the berry sauce on touch adds both colour and taste of it.. plus the wine-soaked cheeries with a touch of gold spots. It's like a magic cup of imagination! Desirable enough to be a product of the month! I'm less impressed by its bulky chocolate sheet on the top.. yes, it tastes good, but if it's a thin curly touch, the whole dessert would be a 5-star hotel presentation. After all, desserts served at Pacific Coffee are value-for-money, attractive enough and reachable, all it needs would be a little advancement. 2. The beary black forest mochaNo bears at all! The combination of mocha.. not too sweet, plus the enlightenment of berry syrup on top of cream gave me a very festive feeling of Xmas.. it's a bit sweet.. not too sweet as some of the Starbucks' product, though. I wont' say I love to spend many times $38 for a tall coffee, but it would be like "tall" could be the right size, and it's never a frequent choice for me unless I can't help to find something festive to feel "Xmas" again! If there's consistently foam bears as in the promotion, like the snowyman as in the McCafe, it would be tempting enough for one black forest mocha per week, or even per day, till the promotion ends! If you want to try real lovely stuff at Pacific, my recommendation would be Mocha and its chocolate series. It's not bitter nor too sweet, everything in its right promotion, like Chocolate Paradise, the chillino stuffs.. but again, it's a very personal choice that you may have to try it out yourself to see how far you'd agree with it. You know, somebody would always say, "I love McDonald's coffee for it is a bargain with no better taste I can compare for", and you can hardly argue with them! The staff service was just so-so.. Pacific staff here arent' particularly friendly, and could be sluggish sometimes. Yet, this imperfection doesn't hold be back from re-visiting the shop again!

六月上旬•晴這一陣子，疲於奔命。下午來了沙田工作，早了完，趁有一點時間，來了這𥚃。要了杯macchiato，幾苦澀，還好沒有酸味。奶泡只見其型而沒有味道，整杯飲品似杯苦茶。不過不要緊，我不是想喝咖啡，只希望找個地方休息一下。以此來說，這裡不錯。

我不是咖啡達人, 但喜歡到咖啡店, 不單是為了喝咖啡,而是為了享受咖啡店 hea 的感覺。漸漸已變成心癮, 每星期必有4-5 次泡咖啡店, 而梗有一間喺左近的 SB 或 PC 就變了日常的休憇室。SB 寫過了, 這次寫 PC.云云的 PC 店中, 我最常到 IFC, 擺花街 (萬寧樓上), 鷹君及今天要寫的沙田中央廣場 Pacific Coffee.此店地方寬趟, 樓底極高, 旁邊是整列落地玻璃窗, 還有數張在露台的室外雅座, 色調是 PC 傳统的紅、啡色, 佈局簡潔開揚。我到PC 都總是叫 short house coffee , 定价相宜 ($17), 比 SB 貴 $1, 亦較細杯, 但 SB 的 house coffee 很多時 roast 得較 deep, 較 bitter. PC 的較合我口味。 我喝咖啡需要 cream and sugar, 最近怕不健康, 改為 milk and sugar, 相熟的女侍亦會代加熱奶, service 挺不錯.今天叫了 ham and cheese croissant ($22), 半溶化的 cheese 配上火腿, 放在烘得暖暖、香、鬆、脆的牛角包內, 口感及味道都正。平常一杯啡、一件 croissant 已足夠, 今天肚餓, 加了一件 chocolate delight ($27). 此 cake 細細件,但朱古力味很濃，配上奶油、朱古力片、strawberry 及 blueberries, 賣相及味道都一流。就此在陽光下, 泡了一粒鐘, 充夠 solar energy, 再回 office 衝、衝、衝！很舒適的陽光加油站, encore 之選.

沙田新城市中央廣場的這間Pacific Coffee，人比較少。坐在梳化位，旁邊還有巨型象棋，幾舒服！Tiramisu $27 - 上面的朱古力味較濃，酒味和咖啡味聚了在底下。面頭還有咖啡豆碎粒，只是裝飾性吧，直接食很苦的哦！Mocha(tall) $31 - 很喜歡那個杯，不是用即棄杯子裝的好像特別好飲，起碼賣相更好！看到面頭有cream和朱古力醬，就感覺很滿足~
