This is my 2nd time going to Busy Suzie for dinner. First time was with a girlfriend to gossip and this time was with a client.

If you prefer to stay there for whole night, grab a cocktail at the bar before going to main hall. Try an apple mocktail, tastes very refresh and it opens up your appetite later on.

The most impressed food at this dinner were the soft shell crab roll. Taste is superb... Actually I am not a fans of crab, but with eating this roll, you don't feel yourself having crabs but a very crispy roll and not oily.

Besides, I also recommend the Pearl Calm and the Tiger Prawn. Very fat and tendor. The best way to have these 2 items are with a nice Sake. The House Sake is really good, cost only around $300 per half bottle. It fits for the dosage of two.

If you would like to have a romantic moment with your partner or gossip with your girlfriends, you can go back to the bar and enjoy your sake or have a glass of whisky. You will feel very embarass if you chit chat if front of the chefs. Gentleman, please aware this point!!

Tips: Reservation in advance. Orelse you won't get a good seats...

這間以爐端燒為主的日本餐廳,早已列入試食的名單當中,上次想食但是找不到在1881商場的哪一處,某次路經1881又無意之中發現,我喜歡嚐試不同的餐廳,只恨時間不足以令我走晃各處,

進入已被侍應問要自助餐還是午餐定食,原來這裏有自助餐,是否迎合香港人的口味?我吃日本料理多會選上在吧位的位置,可以觀看師傅的工作,午餐的選擇就不多,最貴的賣二百五十的燒海鮮定食,其次則是壽司刺身等,看到食材,魚類的選擇只剩二,三款,吸引力不大,倒不如選擇便宜的燒鰻魚定食更穏陣,索價九十八元,不昂貴的價錢,最重要的就是在自己面看著師傅燒,

這麼以燒物為主,所以選回這類型的食物絕對比壽司為好食,因為那些不是強項.近期自己吃過不少蔬菜沙津,雖然簡單,但在各店吃過味道都不同,論吃過出色的,在鐵板燒海賀的沙津做得美味,這裏吃落感到有點苦味,不能令自己開胃一點,味道相當麻麻.香港吃鰻魚總是差一點,還記得早前某迴轉壽司店賣生鰻魚壽司,不是吧!鰻魚要生吃?當然其實就有誤導成份,一份鰻魚配上二件青椒,擺放得整齊,而鰻魚切成數小件,吃得夠斯文.

用上鰻魚汁去燒,鰻魚沒有味道都可以靠那個汁,燒得軟身,帶有香味,送飯的絕對沒有問題,一口氣吃了二碗白飯,上年在花之家吃過鰻魚,都做得不錯,這裏的水準比那處更好一點,可能日本師傅關係?少地方用三文魚去作為小吃,其實用三文魚不是問題,最重要是味道,吃過的是冷冰冰,這裏又是帶相同問題,

裏的蒸蛋用三文魚,冬菇以及銀杏,蛋蒸得不乾身,但欠了蛋香,雖然也夠滑不會水汪汪,但味道略為淡,但叫合格的出品,在鮨褔助所食的真係大跌眼鏡.

吃過鰻魚覺得這個師傅做得也不錯,給了信心,順便散叫一客牛舌來吃舌以一塊去燒,燒之前會用落鹽去調味,其燒的時間不需太耐,難食的牛舌,吃落極為韌,完全咬不出,要和牙齒格鬥,完成後就以厚切數片來上碟,燒得內帶點紅,可能未必個個接受,吃落帶有外脆,內則會有軟熟的效果,始終不是用上等貨,未能做出帶溶化的效果,六十元的牛舌已經值回票價,我喜歡厚切的牛舌多於薄,不需多沾旁邊的調味料,以燒牛舌來說,這裏又做得有水準,只恨材料的限制.

白飯下水少了一點,吃落很乾身幸好有食物撘救一切淡淡的水果,吃完全沒有感覺,有總好過沒有,服務不算好,覺得不夠主動,未能滿意,地方坐得夠舒服,沒有時間限制,都幾舒服的一頓午餐,差不多二時,飲多二口茶就埋單離開.

So I was here for a lunch with a friend I hadn't seen in quite a while. The elevators weren't working so we had to hike up these stairs - a pre-meal work out that made me sweat like mad in today's 35degree weather =(.

We chose to sat at the famous counter where two Japanese chefs sat (or kneeled) in front preparing grilled meats. Presented with a lunch and drink menu only, we proceeded to study the well-chosen and reasonably priced menu.

I had a tough time debating in my head whether I wanted the seafood robatayaki set ($250), the deluxe sushi/sashimi set ($200) or the Beef Teriyaki set ($100) and a waitress quietly interrupted my thoughts and told me there was a "Suzie set" ($168) which was their day's special that had five kinds of sashimi, a bowl of rice and the standard miso soup, steamed egg and pickles etc. It was quite similar to the sushi / sashimi set, save for the bowl of rice instead of somen noodles and additional sushi. Since the former sushi / sashimi set sounded like too much food any way, I went with the Suzie set which I thought I'd be able to handle!

My friend ordered the Pork Cutlet Donburi Set ($98), and we waited patiently whilst catching up and watching others devour their food. I must say I couldn't stop staring at the Beef Teriyaki that was being preparing in front of me...medium-well and all.....next time!

Soon enough we were presented with a small salad of mesclun and cherry tomatoes dressed in a vinaigrette. The dressing could go more Asian...perhaps some yuzu or sesame? But I wasn't complaining!

After a while our lunch 'trays' arrived, looking gorgeous. Although the pictures pretty much speak for themselves, let me describe a little!

In one covered tea cup was some steamy miso soup with spring onions and precisely diced tofu which was yummy. The soup was not too salty either.

In another wider tea cup was Japanese Chawanmushi (egg custard). This was again executed very well - steamed to just-set, the egg was silky, soft and smooth. At the bottom sat a ginko nut, and at the top a couple pieces of thinly sliced mushrooms and ikura (salmon roe). Yum.

Then I tried the yellow radish pickles which were nice but not as sour as ones I've had. This is quite nice for people who like milder pickles. The sakizuke (pictured as the little white square thing in a dish by itself) is the appetizer that also appeared on all their set lunches. I didn't care for this at all - it had a spongey/soggy texture and didn't carry much taste. My friend didn't even bother trying it.

My plate of sashimi, although consisted of all local-favourites, certainly looked wonderful! When I was ordering I asked not to have salmon and whether they could give me something else. The waitress kindly said it was okay, but they would probably swap the salmon for more of the other sashimi that were to be plated for this particular set. I agreed, but when it arrived I still found five different types of sashimi. From the left there was hotate (scallop), tai (snapper) maguro - akami (lean tuna), hamachi (yellow tail) and kanpachi (amberjack). Not the most exciting sashimi, but all were very fresh - after all that's what is most important right? The maguro (tuna) + hotate were my favourites - sweet and succulent.

The rice is equally important. Mine was a bowl of luke-warm Japanese pearl rice which was cooked to my liking - a bit of chewiness retained....yum!

My friend liked the miso soup and chawanmushi equally, and enjoyed his katsudon but would've preferred if the pork wasn't so peppery... a bit over-seasoned there.

Our meal ended with a small plate of fruit - melon, one grape and a thin slice of strawberry. A bit sad, but we weren't here for fruits.

All in all, a very reasonably priced meal we had. The setting of the restaurant was spacious and quite genius. This one, I'll definitely return =)

huffy 意大利晚餐上菜時間,上菜勁慢.2個半鐘.份量勁細份 . 話自己主打係乜Q 燒即係 只加鹽既BBQ. 壽司細份又唔好食 .女仔手指公左右大 質數都比美(CITYSUPER內既壽司架). 燒A6和牛 燒真係剛好七成不多不小. 但肉質衰過我前幾日早餐食既牛仈... 咁又話A6 真係唔知咩準則.... 雞肉串.. 街邊好食好多.燒五花腩過份乾身... 仲叫左幾碟燒磨茹五小片 SIZE大約有半細包TEMPO紙巾左右一份 . 菜單上既野未必有得你ORDER . 出邊放左好多野俾你ORDER 但當你行去睇真O的時 你就會知道 只有幾樣你選擇其他全部重覆SHOW 出唻睇落好多野咁解... 因ORDER 左好小野食 所有唔算過份貴 5個人3女2男.全食唔夠 我自己就好似冇食過野咁. 加左一支酒及1支BEER 加埋 HKD5000 左右. .... 價格就上流啦. 野食就X.....好流......... 笨X做一次算 ... 貴價野唔一定要細份到咁.... 而貴價野又唔一係好食依間就係代表.... 都有樣野幾好無農藥清酒 唔錯 . 但飲一半時 保溫既熱水冇換新既所以唔夠熱...影響左本身全晚唯一好既清酒.......想去食既朋友 請諗清楚. ........ huffy

星期六中午約了友人到Busy Suzie. 在這餐廳還在裝修時, 已心思思想試。

室內裝潢很開揚, 午光讓人精神一振! 我們在餐廳中間的大弧形爐端燒枱坐下。廚師盤膝坐在我們的前面燒製各種食物, 圍著他身邊的是不同的煮食工具 , 而我們和廚師之間, 則一盤盤的放了很多新鮮的食材: 各種菇類, 蔬菜, 貝殼類等等。哎吔, 蔬果是可以啦, 看起來五顏六色都是一種視覺享受, 但是可否不要在我面前放舊兩隻手掌那麼大的生豬肉呢~!! >_<! 但是見到廚師把煮好的食物以一個大過個頭的木槳遞出來給侍應生, 又幾CUTE喎!

我們點了兩個爐端燒的Lunch Set, 一個是澳洲和牛set, 另一個則是海鮮set。這兩個set都分別有前菜, 沙律, 味噌湯, 蒸蛋, 白飯及飯後生果, 唯一不同就是一個是和牛, 另一個上三款海鮮 , 哪三款海鮮我們事前都不知道, 是廚師決定甚麼便有甚麼吧。

前菜, 沙律及味噌湯都沒有太大驚喜。 蒸蛋的內容挺簡單, 兩塊小菇在上面, 而底下則是一粒白果及一片百合。挑剔的情緒突然又到來, 心想怎麼食呀食呀食到底便食白果, 希望無論事業愛情學業都不要這樣!

和牛令我有點失望, 肉質太 “鞋”, 肉味不重, 肉汁欠奉, 而且有點over-cooked.第一個反應是: 怎麼攪的, 在家自己亂煎的和牛比這個還好吃呀~ 但朋友提醒我, 那是當然的了, 我們自己買的和牛計算起來若跟這片大小差不多的話, 價錢比整個set還要貴, 小姐你想點? OK, 係我唔啱, 係我有wrong expectation!

至於那三款海鮮, 率先上菜的是燒帶子, 既然燒好的帶子及帶子邊是一併放在一個帶子瞉上面, 那我便assume這是一整個鮮帶子吧! 相信這帶子是連瞉燒的, 在帶子表面並無燒過的痕跡, 而上菜時整個帶子差不多都浸在湯汁內。但味道嗎? 一點照凡的感覺都沒有, 就是一片帶---子---..還不是太吃得出有味道。

終於最後的兩款海鮮也上場了! 一陣失望, 怎麼啦? 用兩條如中指般長, 尾指般幼的燒多春魚就交功課? 另外那片信用咭大小的魚柳, 我也聽不清楚是甚麼名堂, 吃了一半以後也不想再吃了! 但補充一句, 平常我是很喜歡吃魚的。

自己面前的令自己失望, 忍不住就兩頭望。左面的有滑蛋豬排飯, 而右面的就是壽司定食。定是隔離飯香, 見到左面的滑蛋好似幾好味, 右面的壽司又好似好新鮮。心想莫非刺身才是這家餐廳最好的?? 但明明整個裝潢都是sell 爐端燒的呀~

侍應生們是很殷勤 , 但總是在我們雞啄唔斷的時候 “sip” 個頭到我們中間問我們可以拿走這個拿走那個嘛? 我不怪他, 普天之下只有真正的日藉女侍應才可以提供那種鉅細無遺又細心的服務。

總括來說是失望, 但朋友提到可能我們是吃午餐而不是晚餐, 所以未如理想。但小妹覺得若一家餐廳是高水準的話, 應該任何一個時段都提供到高質素的食物吧! 下次有機會或者試下刺身~ 俾多次機會別人, 即是俾多次機會自己嘛!!

約了老朋友尖沙咀區相聚,由佢選擇地方,佢話呢間最近update咗個menu。

有不少的定食選擇,價錢圍繞一佰至佰伍蚊不等,都算合理。

叫了和牛肉定食,朋友則要魚生。
定食都算幾豐富,除了和牛及一碗飯外,仲有玉子蛋tongue
三文魚刺身,因為我唔食生的三文魚,所以三文魚壽司由朋友包辦了,他說好好味smile

同味噌湯,味噌湯不錯,不太鹹有點點鮮味,內裡還有蜆肉,唔食得都至少睇得。

和牛也都Good,呢個價錢都有唔錯嘅質數。

呢度裝修雅致同環境舒適,來飲杯野傾下計是真的不錯。

埋單每人100 蚊,幾經濟,下次出新menu一定要再試!

The best of selection !!

Grilled Veggies : The best -- Shitake Mushrooms, Okra

Grilled Seafood : Flat Founder Fish ( less meat ,but the chef care of the food art and deco)

Sashimi : Salmon , Urchin chopstick

Atmosphere : HOUSE music ,all staffs (incl. the japanese chefs) welcome you by hands clapping and greet you in japanese ;) It made you feel very special like the VIP guests .

Decor -
Excellent lighting. Music is a bit loud - OK for 2-4 people, but larger groups might find it difficult to talk. We did notice some private rooms where rich men seemed to be entertaining young ladies with a lot of makeup.

The type of Japanese restaurant where waiters yell out your order. Their Japanese is good but it can lead to some problems (see below)

Food -
Sushi is very fresh, at just the right temperature.

Possibly the best robatayaki (skewers) we've had in Hong Kong.

The vegetable options deserve praise. Even the more difficult options e.g. green peppers are done very well - full of juice. Eggplant, onion, cherry tomatoes, shiitake were all excellent.

The two types of beef (Australian / Japanese Wagyu) are seasoned just right; the meat is high quality. The Wagyu is especially marbled.

Service
Extremely responsive and understanding (at the end we ordered 1 rice and 1 noodle for 4 people and the waitress offered to separate the portions without complaint)

Calling out orders out loud can lead to some problems. They have a dual system - when we ordered the Australian Beef Skewer, they made a computer record and also yelled out the order - but they yelled out Japanese Wagyu instead. It caused confusion with the chef as the written order and the yelled order did not match. This was easily corrected, however.

The staff understand that robatayaki can be a long meal (ordering skewers one by one) and will serve up hot tea whenever.

Other
Either their suppliers had problems or the store is too popular - we started our meal at 8 pm, but many things were out of stock: Sea Urchin (uni), beef tongue, asparagus, pork, spring onion (tamanegi).

Conclusion
As noted, very expensive, but the quality is very high.

損友C君食完之後話可以推介, 即刻試吓smile
未入去個門面都已經靚到殺死人。點解咁似dragon-i ?

店內燈飾擺設, 型格十足, 亦真係好日本feel, 環境令人幾舒服,
睇得出係設計花咗好多心血 ; service 都ok, 男waiter 有禮貌亦attentive.

睇左陣menu後, 決定Order兩個定食 一個日式猪扒, 一個野菜天婦羅.
唔使一陣, 個定食已經送到我面前, 當然唔客氣啦, 食完至講
我本身都唔係好少食前菜, salad不過今日都食哂!

個定食包括前菜、玉子、麵豉湯和漬物, 個玉子做得唔錯.

個人認為C君嘅推介都幾啱口味, 食物有水準.

今晚公司請我哋食飯, 在這間新開的日式爐端燒訂咗枱.
老闆話唔使同佢客氣huffy餐廳經理幫我哋挑選d美食tongue

麵豉湯 味道鮮甜, 從未喝過這樣好味的, YUMMY YUMMY!
天婦羅 炸漿厚薄得宜, 炸得很鬆脆, 不錯!
刺身 經理話日日有飛機貨, 保證新鮮
和牛串燒 新鮮熱辣, 啱啱燒完即刻上枱!
長州赤鳥 皮脆肉嫩.
蠑螺 加咗鹽燒, 非常鮮甜.

最後上埋牛乳奶涷, 奶味濃郁, 完美嘅晚餐.
老闆一早簽咗咭, 所以唔知張單幾錢, Thank you Boss!

6 March 2010,Saturday evening at Blue Bar— 23 C,清涼少雲

Walking around in Causeway Bay意圖幫助break & burn Blue Bar的lunch break後,我地揸大仔過TST卻遇上塞車going late,於是Suzie繼早上re-confirmed booking後再度致電honey to check if we were lost。其實當時想再改晚一點才到達,始終Blue Bar made us very full。

1) Arrival:
1881 Heritage外圍如兩個月前一樣仍然修路,橙色圍欄實在破壞了整個古蹟氛圍,既收窄了行車線又不便行人通過。我自幼已覺得香港經常東鑿西掘發展沒完沒了,總是保持“爛地之都”的感覺;發展是需要的,但也不要退步至visitor unfriendly,if not how to “Welcome to Hong Kong”? 怎料Busy Suzie入口也太與別不同,我們入到square完全看不到directory,原來要走出外面一個對正太空館的細小電梯入口,很像上緊theatre,難怪Suzie worry if we really get lost。

2) Setting:
Busy Suzie裝潢是hip & fun,餐廳不算很full。四個洗手間由兩位嬸嬸serve,內裡黑暗型格充滿禪味但不便照鏡,honey則讚洗手間音樂和香薰燭似spa。整間餐廳的職員以宏亮的日文/廣東話歡迎/送客人及落order,此起彼落很hot。我們坐在round bar的double seat,對正冰鎮新鮮食材、跪坐的爐端燒師傅及舞台— 火爐。反正不餓可以睇多過食,看看冰雪融滴、爐火紅紅,冰火交匯很exciting。

Menu精緻,特別是drinks menu以絨面設計,很滑。我們點了綠茶後,waiters卻良久沒有送上dining menu,即使再追問也要稍候。

3) Dishes:
Busy Suzie本身向客人奉上一小碟前菜。我們仍然飽飽不夠胃口,於是只點了四款食品。

燒牛舌:
冷不防廚師很迅速已把牛舌燒好,以木槳直接送到我們面前。牛舌很厚身,感覺似肉少少juicy。我食了一件後,又呆了… 飽了,任它變涼了吧。此時,整間餐廳的職員及爐端燒師傅以日文呼籲所有客人舉高雙手,跟著便是一起按節拍 “拍拍~拍拍拍~拍拍拍拍! 嘿!” (repeated),全場氣氛更hot! 好像人家日本大小企業早上的鼓舞曲,有趣!

大卜口すし:
唔… not bad 但可以再好些。感覺香港地真的較難食到靚O Toro,至於最basic的吞拿魚赤身更不用提了。那些乜乜空降直送之類(除了水果)… 總之一過大海便不好吃了。所以有次試過某壽司連鎖店所謂“日本一”投下的藍鰭吞拿魚後,以後別搞我們了,實在不值得排那些長隊。幸好月底將飛日本再度賞櫻順補充魚類,yeah!

和牛炒飯:
挺香口的,是我喜愛的典型日式炒飯,但和牛切得太細碎了。始終炒飯較膩口,我又把my shares的大半放下,最後要honey代為“收留”。

精選五點刺身:
Waiter可能見炒飯也來了,於是主動前來表示刺身正在預備中,怕我們太久等。哈哈,其實我們很飽,廚房慢慢弄吧。來了三文魚、吞拿魚赤身、甘海老、章紅、及劍魚刺身。我又是欣賞它們良久… 很辛苦才食完。刺身新鮮但沒有驚喜。其實是怪我仍飽沒有太大感覺吧。

不知怎的,這裡的綠茶很好喝,大概是我本身食得膩滯了,喝口綠茶份外舒服。師傅功夫專業刀法如神,吸引不食客遊客站立欣慰爐端燒及拍攝。

4) Chit-chat & drinks next time:
Busy Suzie偏向是視察更勝味覺的,its show為我們的10th Anniversary Memorial作下精彩圓滿的句號。下次只想出去它的outside seating area飲番杯吹吹風lazy chatting便可了。

係Website見到介紹呢間餐廳,都幾啱口味,即打電話落個 Booking. tongue

之前係電視介紹個1881 Heritage入面有間古蹟酒店,順便提早dd落去行一陣先至dinner

個環境都唔錯,攞部iphone影d靚相先.

下後看了餐牌,決定了叫壽司套餐。我們自選了甜蝦、吞拿魚腩、三文魚、左口魚、油甘魚.

蒸蛋- 香滑可口,蛋味又足.
甜蝦- 新鮮彈牙,鮮甜味美.
吞拿魚腩- 一看便知肥美,食落更有口感,真係不可和普通吞拿魚相比,真係要試過才知道.
三文魚- 來到這裏當然要試試啦,魚肉很有咬口,又鮮甜.
左口魚和深海池魚- 實在無話可說,太好了.

實在太好味了,一定會再來.
說真的,現在已心思思想再去了.smile

啱啱交完個Project,梗係要放縱吓,同事話有間新開嘅 Suzie,約埋一齊去LUNCH 先

等咗一陣就有位啦,入到門口已經比佢哋d環境同氣氛吸引住
員工件衫好得意,仲有d日本師傅係度喎 shocked

未座個肚已經開始勁打鼓,係時候要睇吓個menu,每人order一個定食, 佢哋仲有爐端燒喎~

bowl網燒和牛定食 - 汁多肉嫩,味道濃郁,唔駛咬!
bowl精選刺身定食 - 三文魚同蝦刺身好新鮮。
bowl浦燒鰻魚定食 - 鰻魚太好味既關真係想 Encore。

另外佢配埋好新鮮既蔬果做配菜,食肉獸都忍唔住要試吓 。tongue佢個碗白飯,粒粒飯粒分明,唔知係唔係用日本礦泉水煲呢,好好食啊!lol

有機會一定會再試。好味啊!
