Tsui Wah is one of my (if not THE) favorite places to order takeout. Be warned that sometimes delivery service can be extremely slow - I have waited for an hour on 2 occasions; order early (I order around 5PM, reheat later) to be safe.
At the end of a long week, we decided to stay in and dialed 2892 2633 (I'm including it for your convenience) For fresh, hot, quality cha chan teng comfort food:
1. Braised tomato pork with rice ($44) Overall very good, but sauce is a bit greasy, as with many other pan-fried/stir-fried/sauce-based dishes from TW. 4/5
2. Black pepper mixed grill with rice ($45) Rich, thick sauce with garlic too. "Mixed grill" includes 1 piece of steak, 1 pork chop, a hotdog and a strip of bacon. Rice used is short grain pearl rice. I think this is TW standard.
3. Tender pork cartilage with rice vermicelli ($27) The sauce used to stew is a "secret recipe", cartilage and meat is great, especially with the very soft vermicelli, but I prefer it with rice because the soup seems to weaken the flavor. But their tender pork cartilage is something that I order almost everytime.
4. XO Shrimp stirred noodles,+side order of beef sinew($4x + x) Shrimp "har kau" from TW is always big, plump, bitey (darn ngar) with very good wok hay. Their XO sauce may not be the best, but this combination makes you forget about it. Another reliable signature.
5. Chicken vegeteble rice Not good nor bad, standard cha chan teng fare. Adequate toppings though (also what you'd expect from TW)
6. Fried beef rice noodles ($4x?) Another signature. Great seasoning, always fresh, lots of beef, onions, chives, bean sprouts. Notable is that they top it off with sesame (see picture). Note for fat-phobics: grease alert!
Out of the many times I've ordered TW, I can say the food always arrives hot. And prices are very reasonable for this quality. It is more expensive than the average cha chan teng, but at least it's reliable in terms of quality, and they are quite generous with their portions and variety of ingredients. Service is good too; the order takers are always patient (!) and polite.
Like a good old friend, TW is a great standby on any given day. Another reason to love Hong Kong!

朋友話細碟左喎
蕃茄牛肉蛋飯朋友話細碟左,以前好大碟的,但我都覺得好多料呀,勁多蕃茄,牛肉,好味呀,蕃茄切都四份一件,幾甜及好味,牛肉好入味好淋呀,好味呀.
咖喱牛腩跟印度烤餅,都好大份呀,牛腩朋友話好辣,我覺得一般,都好淋好易入口呀,有些薯仔,好味呀,烤餅都好好味及都幾大塊呀.
呢度8點未夠門口好多人等位啦,我地早到所以唔使等位,呢間餐廳係好味的,食物質素有保證呀.

遊客景點之一
多人到不得了,差少少仲要在門外排隊,人潮如鯽,睇真0的,絕大部份都係遊客。
我估應該不少旅遊書內都有介紹翠華,所以不少遊客都冒名而來﹗
又真係抵翠華咁出名,待應服務快上快落,有禮,仲有幾個國語大使招呼內地朋友﹔新鮮麵包蛋撻不停出爐,裝修又夠哂浮誇過癮,我係遊客來了解一下香港既茶記文化,都會來翠華試下﹗
叫左個最簡單的鮑魚通粉早餐,包雙蛋及餐包。
同工友都異口同聲說呢度個湯底做得唔會好鹹,好怕茶記整到個湯底鹹如鹽水,呢度的夠味不過火,食都食得開心0的﹗
25蚊不會太貴,抵食,值得推介﹗

halloween bash supper
同友人和友人的朋友到海洋公園玩完, 已經又累又餓又口渴又眼睏
在cwb, 唔知食咩好的情況下, 我們去了翠華
都唔知點解, 我地食野時已經係凌晨12:45左右, 間野都仲係咁多人
我和友人為了稍填肚, 又不想吃太飽, 所以只叫了一個白汁雞凰意和凍檸茶
份量偏少, 如果一個男仔當lunch食, 可能未必夠
但都真係好食ge~
友人的朋友叫了一個凍鎮波羅油, 個牛油真係冰鎮的
很有趣, 加一個創意分比佢
好似話呢一個食法都真係幾好食~
等我下次都來食下先~

早餐團2 - 款式不少
不過上次太興忘了寫"早餐團",所以今次一下子就跳到早餐團2.
先來個鮑魚絲通粉,份量剛好,有鮑魚絲,就不用只吃火腿絲咁"寡".
轉了炒蛋,不過很淡,是故意讓大家自己調味?....掛住傾計,一下子落得太多鹽了-_-........只好自己翻來翻去平衡一下.
奶茶比較苦澀,雖然不是難飲,但不是我杯茶.
選擇都幾多下,雖然未至於很特別,但覺得都算是賣點.
除非很很很很好味的早餐,否則還是保持次次都試不同的餐廳(早餐),不過翠華其甚多選擇讓我這個想法有點動搖.

無咩醬既撈麵
一係唔叫一叫巴鬼火撈麵無咩醬點叫撈麵~然後我叫個待應加醬佢攞住碟360度睇灑再同我講有醬~我就同佢講我想加醬佢就話唔加得要加就要係叫果時講加醬講完就放低碟野走左去~我當堂呆左係到~到再食完一碟唔夠醬既撈麵埋單走人

唔係翠華, 係"唔係呀華"
翠華係名牌茶餐廳, 而茶餐廳 = 快靚正, 係咪 ? 可惜 …
今日上午10:20 (已經唔係peak hour), 我叫咗一個”歐陸早餐” (係set), 等咗5分鐘, 都未有任何野到, 但見周圍嘅人都在等, 所以安靜. 再等多5分鐘, 開始有野飲, 但坐我隔離果個, 遲過我到, 已經有面食. 於是我叫經理幫我跟一跟, 佢兩分鐘後同我講, 整緊. 已經係10:35, 我再問另外一個侍應, 佢又話整緊…… 我喺10:40, 起身同經理講, 我真係要走, 我遲到了. 於是佢親自走去厨房叫佢地即刻整, 我真係遲到, 所以我話, 真係唔要啦, 佢即刻叫厨房”唔駛整”, 並同我講, 你飲咗杯野喎, 比番HK$16啦.
坦白講, 佢同中環果間比, 真係冇得比, 我唔係叫珍羞百味, 我只係叫SET早餐, 玩咗20分鐘都未到, 大家如果真係要去呢間食, 要預多啲時間呀 !!!!
再者, 個經理一句道歉都冇, 仲要收我杯野飲錢, 我條氣真係唔太順, 所以當企門口果個同我講, “下次再來”時, 我不禁好認真咁同佢講 “我以後都唔會再來” !!!!

經典白汁燴雞皇
因為從來都覺得好唔抵, 係翠華食仲要成50蚊個!
令我更想試下係咪咁有料到!
一碟白汁雞皇, 一碟飯或意粉分開上。
白汁既味道唔係好濃, 奶味唔太重, 呢點係我最估唔到既!
可以淡味D可以食多D, 所以食晒成碟都唔覺漏!
料就淨係得雞肉同三色椒, 其實簡簡單單已經ok。
雞肉有雞味, 整得唔似雪藏貨, 而且好嫩滑, 份量都不少。
味道係不錯的, 但50蚊的確係貴左少少 ; 但份量夠, 一定夠飽!
肚餓之下呢50蚊都算抵既!

日式鐵板豬排炒烏冬
另外亦叫了奶油豬及凍奶茶,翠華的奶油豬一直是我的至愛,香脆美味,而它的凍奶茶我是第一次試的,原來奶味很香濃的,非常喜愛!終於明白為什麼它那麼貴仍然那麼多人,它確有它的價值......

叫咗個豬軟骨撈丁, 奶醬豬仔包, 雪山奶皇包
豬軟骨撈丁($33) 好咸呀~ 我唸湯上好味d 囉
奶醬豬$12, 好脆好好味呀, 好多醬, 超正呀~
雪山奶皇包$6, 個包好味 , 好鬆, 奶皇饀又正又creamy ~~~

Like a good old friend
Chicken vegetable rice

莫名奇妙被個係果度做野既阿伯鬧...
大熱天時30幾度熱到死又唔知食乜好...見到眼前有呢間鋪就是但入左去啦...
咁我就叫左個下午茶A餐-----魚蛋河+熱奶茶..
兩個frd就C餐----豬扒包+凍飲...

但個樽又俾人收走左...都好耐下...咁就叫個侍應俾樽糖我啦...

又是翠華
白之戀人
這次要了白之戀人,即是紅豆冰加豆腐雪糕,希望藉此增強奶味,可惜不太成功。不過,加了雪糕的確是好喝了,但冰依然是太多,這次更不能用飲官喝。豆腐雪糕味道較淡,不過不失。特別的是,吃到最係的時侯,可能是因為多冰夠凍的關係,雪糕還未溶掉呀。
我還是喜歡喝原本的,下次要加雪糕的話豆腐雪糕不是首選。
