Had annual sausuage fesitval with my bf in Oct again.
Lobster soup ($120): very very rich (actually, a little bit too rich, just like sauce) Good for sharing.
Seafood sausage ($230) - my annual dinner! still very delicious. had the taste of lobster, scallop etc. good!
Risotto with sausage and wild mushroom ($170): Recommended by the manager. the risotto is al dente and the sasuage is not too salty. delcious! large portion, very full.
Response to the last review: Mr. Lam should be the manager of Chesa. He is very talkative and friendly. The waiters there are actually very nice. Although we do not order wine/drink nor have many food, they are very nice every time. So Mr. Lam may just be surprised that someone already have eaten something before going for dinner at 7:30. And people going there usually enjoy a long dinner. So may be he really thought that you are in hurry.

Just went to Switzerland. The food there is nice but not as good as it in Chesa. So can't wait and go to Chesa again after the trip.
We two people had a deep fried cheese as appentizer. It was one of the special items in September. The hot and soft cheese was fried crispy. Very delicious.
We shared two main courses, one is baked stuffed quail (recommeded monthly item) and lamb rack. I am sorry that I don't like the quail. It tasted like the chicken liver. We had medium for the lamb rack. it is simply perfect. I like the potato cake baked with cheese on the side too!
Had a monthly special dessert: grape tart with sabayon. it is really very very delicious. I never had such kind of grape. there is some wine taste. very delicious.
We went to chesa for dinner last week. I was quite impressed by the settings - very Swiss-like.
We ordered Crêpe au crabe, cappuccino à l’homardine et Armagnaca and Fondue Forestière to start with. The crab pancake was delicious. It was filled with crab meat and the sauce tastes like lobster bisque. Cheese fondue was a bit heavy on the wine. Maybe we should have ordered it with less alcohol in it. I think the one we tried in Swiss Chalet was better (think we had the one with garlic there).
For the mains, we ordered Emincé de veau Zurichois and Fondue Chinoise. They knew we were sharing the dishes, so they actually divided the veal onto two plates for us. I think the taste was average. I would have liked it with more mushrooms. For the beef fondue, we had the diced beef instead. The meat was tender, but it lacked the beef flavour. The stock had all the correct ingredients including the herbs, but the stock was too thin. The sauces were not good.
Maybe the meal would be good for those who are not used to strong flavours, but for me, having tried and loved the food in Switzerland, this is not the place I would come again.
最後就係... Joue de boeuf marinée et braisée au vin rouge... 冇錯, 我係 cut and paste 既... beef cheeks... 好味過我成世所有食過既牛肉一萬倍. 舊肉完全入曬 d 紅酒味, 比之前舊魚更加滑. 間中仲有小小 fat 定係完全淋曬既根. 一隻叉就可以輕鬆地 KO 成碟牛肉. 好味呀~

室內裝潢仍是歐陸小屋一般, 以木質為主, 面積不大, 約容納50-60人, 很溫暖的感覺. 燈光微黃, 蠟燭火光閃爍不定, 環境氣氛極佳. 典雅的杯碟刀叉在默默訴說自己的歷史. 夥計也是老式的, 服務親切平實而不冷峻.
蟹肉班戟($230) - 豐富的鮮蟹肉包裹在薄皮內, 軟綿綿的, 分量約等於一條腸粉. 澆上的龍蝦汁令我想起坊間時興的龍蝦湯.
鵝肝(210) - 鵝肝一塊, 像小孩巴掌般大小, 不油膩. 個人覺得皮可以煎得更脆一點, 內裡也可更綿滑一點, 不夠入口即溶. 不過算是比很多食肆優勝. 我倒喜歡佐料的幾塊蘋果. 難得爽身之餘吸收了有濃郁酒香的醬汁, 酸酸甜甜的挺醒胃.
芝士火鍋($198) - 很飽肚的一道菜, 主要是麥包醮以乳酪, 其撲鼻酒香不是人人能接受的. 吃罷身子暖暖的.
豬頸肉($210) - 分量不小, 五大塊厚切, 配以洋葱汁, 很粉的薯仔粒, 豆角等. 卻煮得有點老. 洋葱汁不稠也不算香, 也許是奶油味不足.

整體來說是滿意的~男朋友和我都好開心~還期望再來的

Delicious dinner in September
We two people had a deep fried cheese as appentizer. It was one of the special items in September. The hot and soft cheese was fried crispy. Very delicious.
We shared two main courses, one is baked stuffed quail (recommeded monthly item) and lamb rack. I am sorry that I don't like the quail. It tasted like the chicken liver. We had medium for the lamb rack. it is simply perfect. I like the potato cake baked with cheese on the side too!
Had a monthly special dessert: grape tart with sabayon. it is really very very delicious. I never had such kind of grape. there is some wine taste. very delicious.

初踏半島在Chesa
大家都做左咁多年人,真係估不到原來我地兩個都係未入過半島酒店的,真是難得。
半島個lobby相當多人,雖然裝修古色古香樓底又高,不過見到好多自由朋友在呱呱叫,人流又真的太多,大煞風景﹗
地點在一樓,餐廳裝修很像外國鄉村家鄉的木屋設計,相當有特色亦骨子,星期五的下午人不多,只有幾枱外國人,香港人又點會捨得請日假來呢度嘆個lunch呢。
睇餐牌當然就交比工友負責,叫了兩個set lunch﹗
頭盤未上先來一籃新鮮麵包,有軟的硬的脆的三種選擇,我就當然三樣都試哂佢啦﹗味道不錯﹗
食家的頭盤檸檬汁海鮮冷盤,有帶子、藍青口及蝦,三樣海鮮吃落都新鮮醒胃﹗
我就要左parma ham綠扁豆湯,味道香濃而且幼滑,值得一試﹗
到左主菜部份,食家點了燒豬肉而我就叫左牛仔扒。
燒豬肉呈粉紅色相當漂亮,肉質軟熟有陣陣烤香味,雖然睇落細細份不過食完都已經好飽﹗
我的牛仔扒以免治牛肉打成餅狀,肉汁豐富,吃落有陣陣香草味道,細細品嚐才是真享受﹗
主菜都不是主角,主角當然是生日屋啦﹗之前打電話訂位已同待應哥講左聲要訂,一間朱古力屋中間有香甜的雲呢嗱雪糕,最緊要是有支蠟燭啦﹗許個願,一吹,生日快樂食家﹗
食完間屋已經飽到上心口,不過仲有甜品,我的是sacher朱古力餅配蜜桃雪笆,朱古力相當香濃口感細密,愛朱古力的必愛﹗
食家要了Tiramisu,一樣做得出色細緻,面頭是一層特濃咖啡冰沙,蛋糕濃香味美,食家食哂﹗
餐茶是moka,水準之作﹗
食哂所有野仲有幾粒朱古力上枱作小吃,夠哂殷勤,可惜眼闊肚窄,食唔哂﹗
相當滿意的一餐,難得是大家也第一次入半島食飯,此餐廳服務也很好,值得推介﹗

A bit Disappointed

呢度環境真係一流.好適合情侶/朋友想靜靜地咁傾計
雖然價錢係貴DD,不過以咁高GE食物質素同咁舒適GE環境.都係值得一去!

chesa 的地方都幾舒服, 好casual...
因為吃過fondue 了... 不太喜歡, 所以今次沒有要fondue...
叫了一個cold cut... 好抵食, 份量又多.... 不錯的...
當然都要食cheese 啦.... 叫了招牌的raclette... 我自己幾like..... 好香軟, cheese 味好香濃... 小小的焦, 但又口感軟滑... good
main course 叫了spring chicken 同grill grouper... 個spring chicken 無咩特別.. ma ma dai.... 個grouper 就幾好, 加上特製的牛油..... 好香口...
restaurant 送了birthday cake 俾我... 係chocolate mousse cake.... 好食過上年verandah 果個....
加一杯espresso .... finish.... yummy

牛一局之第五回,正日當天,五臟廟已如箭在弦.一時半到埗,服務生輕輕地推開餐桌,讓我倆坐進軟座.店子環境裝潢得如瑞士小屋般,濃厚小館氣氛溫暖!
半响,服務生端來餐牌,午餐分$280及$320兩種,差別在於$320跟house wine.各來一個.
House wine--來自瑞士的白酒頗易入口,餘韻不太久.
bread basket:麵包籃內的硬法包,黑祼麥包及酸麵包各具特色,作配角牛油香氣欠奉,無所作為!
Appetizer:
Smoked chicken consomme--清澈見底的煙雞湯,淺呷一口,味道清香;以蘿蔔絲及薏米增其層次.
Duck confit--黑脆豆圍邊鴨肉醬毫不臊,富口感;伴隨的車厘茄及青瓜清脆不已!
Main Course:
Lamp meat--闊意粉跟羊肉汁融為一體,跟蘿蔔乾及西芹粒渾然天成;羊肉臊味輕,肉質無庸置疑的腍滑.
Pan-fried black cod with lobster sauce--切成長方體的銀鱈魚魚味濃郁;跟著紋理切下,不費吹灰之力,嫩滑得很;墊底的青豆荳醬跟牛油龍蝦汁乃天仙配,沒得頂!
Dessert:
Tiramisu--蛋糕微濕,輕按一下,蛋糕柔軟而瀟灑;細啖之下,酒味恰到好處;原價$350的2磅Tiramisu,現免費奉上(HSBC白金卡優惠),爽透!
Floating island--賣相如五個小島的蛋白,輕盈如棉花糖以葵花籽及開心果醬活化了這數個小島!
Pancake with vanilla ice-cream--奶味濃厚的雲喱拿雪糕,於半狀態下,安躺於皮薄而帶韌的pancake上;卷於其中的custard cream更嘖嘖稱奇地香滑,不吃不可!
Mocha & cappuccinno--mocha & cappuccinno的泡沫打得不算綿密,泡沫一瞬即逝;然而入口卻錯愕地甘香芳醇!名不經傳的出品!
Petit fours--較失色的餅食!
服務生的親切招呼,讓我倆陷入極樂狀態...Wat a happy birthday.^0^..

Good dishes
先來的是麵包,有三種(有一種包好像有一層皮包着,不知是甚麼包,其餘兩種是法包和圓形芝麻包),一般般,不是太軟熟.牛油的質素不俗.吃了兩個之後有點飽.....
頭盤是蟹肉薯片,蟹肉很好,薯片就是普通薯片.份量不多.
芝士加薯仔,來到的時候,熱氣騰騰.味道不錯,但吃完已經差不多飽了6成.
主菜來了.
先是三文魚排,叫的時候初以為很少,但事實卻不是.分開兩碟上枱也有一點份量.三文魚很嫩滑,味道調較得剛剛好.很出色的廚師.
再來是牛面頰配薯蓉,兩者配合得很好,飽都要繼續食.兩主菜都是水準極高.
最後也試試馳名的甜品,chocolate mousse. 是今晚最出色的.那朱古力真的很滑,很濃郁.味道是好得不得了.以前也在不同餐廳試過朱古力甜品,這個算是超高水準了.喜愛朱古力的一定要試.
餐廳氣氛好,招呼周到,回想起來自己也很回味.價錢是高,但真的物有所值.這個生日很高興.

7 點鐘到, 鬼影都冇半隻... 好似包場甘
一睇個 menu, 好大挫敗感, 都唔知係法文定乜文. 好在 waiter 哥哥好人, 細心推介. 結果點左:
cold appetizer: crabmeat mille feuille
第一眼諗住要加送... 好細舊... 將蟹肉砌到好似 burger 甘, 用 chips 分開三層. 以爲得個樣, 但咬落去都幾 juicy, 個 sauce 就好似唔辣既 wasabi, 好開胃.
hot appetizer: Escargots sautés
全晚最平平無奇既一味, 同街外食到既冇乜分別. 但其實應該係蝸牛定田螺呢?...
Raclette du Valais
第一口乜都冇食就覺得好咸, 但後來加埋 pickle, tomato, potato, etc 就連怕肥同怕滯既老婆大人都爭住食...
Garoupa with....
塊石班有一寸厚再慢慢等舊 shrimp butter 溶... 老實講, 我忍唔住... 舊魚裏面好滑, 再加上 creamy 既 shrimp butter 同埋小小酸既檸檬味既 sauce. 雖然已經有 d 飽, 但都真係停唔到手.
個 crabmeat mille feuille 同 garoupa 都係 chef's (seasonal) special, 大熱天時都暑氣全消...
最後就係... Joue de boeuf marinée et braisée au vin rouge...
冇錯, 我係 cut and paste 既...
只可惜... 冇位食甜品... (同埋張凳唔好坐...)
老婆仔都非常滿意, 成晚傻笑... tum 女朋友, chesa 真係值得一試...

苦+臭
首先我要講講,其實我好憎食西餐,但老婆勁"lur" 要romantic,所以就係openrice搵下啦...我見咁多人話好食.就去下啦...
1)首先係個crab pancake.
嘩!細伯到呢.....我半啖就食左...個味都ok的...
2)芝士火鍋(tradition)
又苦又臭...我都係鐘意食卡夫芝士...佢d芝士好似d人d嘔吐d味咁.成間餐廳都係個d味...我仲以為我鼻哥"燶"臭!d包就好似平時喂金魚個bread咁....我食左二舊...已經o左嘴
3)red wine breef
嘩...件牛仲勁!值情極品呀!有d似牛腩..但又好苦wor...個碟salad又似草....
唉.....真係絶!
食到e度...我條脷已經又苦又臭...好左...佢支牙籤有薄何....我咪係咁用支牙籤令條脷回復正常...
4) chocolate mouss
最正常的一款....都可以沖淡d苦同臭....
well.....總結.....我而加只想食個乾炒牛河....

好氣氛、好服務、好食物
爸爸同Selina七點嚟到,而我七點半左右我先到,真係唔好意思遲到~~
個餐牌款式唔多,不過都花多眼亂,除咗個烘芝士係我order之外,其他都係個熱情waiter哥哥提議。
order完就一邊食餐包一邊等....嗰日爸爸就選咗支智利紅酒,好快啲頭盆就上啦~~
三文魚他他都幾新鮮,不過個醬汁真係個他他嘅靈魂,好香好滑,完全帶出三文魚嘅魚味,好夾。沙律....食材好新鮮,雖然唔知係咩菜,只知一送到入口,覺得自己好似去咗田園咁,一啲都冇吹大到而且個sauce又係香夾滑,食完個人開胃晒。
食完頭盆,熱情waiter哥哥先上主菜,好體貼。
燒羊架好軟熟,生熟程度係好適中,好香濃羊肉味,一啲都唔羶,而且份量都唔少,件件都幾大size,唔怪得熱情waiter哥哥係咁叫我哋啲dish到晒先加order啦。
紅酒燴牛仔肉,呢個真係冇嘢講,香濃又香滑嘅雜菌醬汁配上鮮嫩味重牛仔肉,再加上滑滑薯蓉,簡直齒夾流香,食完之後隻碟一滴汁都冇留。
是晚服務同食物水準都令我哋一行三人都好滿意,有機會一定會再去~
