Newly opened (about a month or so) and apparently operated by the same company as Hokkaido Pizza. Came on a Friday night for dinner to see how it compares with the other casual Japanese restaurants like Azabusabo (which is more established), Watami (which may be even cheaper), Beppu (more specialized in ramen) etc..
Was crowded already at 7.15PM on a Friday. Had to wait for about 20 minutes and then was seated next to the entry of the kitchen. Ordered:
1. Oshitashi ($2x) Standard oshitashi with spinach that is not overcooked. Served with a sweetened light, soy-based sauce. quite refreshing
2. Pork and kimchi cold noodles ($5x) I ordered this because I wanted to eat the kimchi. The pork slices were quite fatty, the fact that it was cold makes the fat even more solid. The sesame-based sauce was a bit sweet and not too heavy. It was served with mustard, which is great with the unmarinated pork. Although there's nothing wrong with the ramen I didn't finish them I wanted to save room for dessert.
3. Green tea sundae with kanten ($3x-4x) This is really what I came for - it looked quite attractive on the display outside,and it has kanten (konnyaku) in it, which I love. However it was disappointingly small, and at least a quarter of the soft serve already melted when it came! I was still curious and hopeful and ate it nonetheless - the taste is OK, but the green tea ice cream had some freezer burn in it. Kanten was at the bottom which you really have to dig for! Perhaps it won't melt so much if they didn't drizzle so much syrup in it. It was quite disappointing. And it is certainly nothing like the size displayed. And definitely not worth the price paid.
It's cheap, it's quick, the entrees are filling enough, but don't expect too much - and don't judge from the display for sure.
To be honest, I have no interests on trying any of the savory dishes at Roppongi Sabo (六本木茶房). This kind of gimmicky localized Japanese food tends to turn me off instantly, but I am here for one thing: their salt caramel gelato (海鹽焦糖雪糕, $32.8).
I am a big fan of salt caramel everything, and after I read this in a magazine I have been meaning to try it out. The gelato came in a cone with a standing holder, and the triangular shaped top was appropriately Japanese. The texture was also true to traditional Japanese gelato which is lighter and more airy than Italian gelato or American ice cream but still remain creamy and slightly elastic. My biggest pet peeve of salt caramel ice cream is often the indiscernible savory flavor, and I was very impressed by the noticeable salty taste blended with the sweet milky base. The slight hint of caramel may not be strong enough for caramel fans with a big sweet tooth, but for me it was just right without being too cloying. A great balance of sweetness and saltiness was achieved in this simple serving, and it certainly met my expectation.
The smiley face is just for this salt caramel gelato. Consider it your own risk to try anything else at this place .
We got trap. The customer service was too good to refuse in the front desk, therefore we have decided to have a go.
The Chicken rice on hot plate : The chicken is really "un" and only have 6 small pieces of chicken.
The scallops noddles : the soup base is good , the noodles was bad with alkalin favour, the scallops was really really small ( approx the size of a 10cents)
The octopus noodles: only have 3 tinny slice of cotopus.
The Kamchi Cold noodles: Kamchi is not a kamchi, the taste is really bad, the noodles is as chewing as rubber band.
The lemon tea is very sour, and the size of the hot lemon tea is really small, please see photos. I suggest they should change the name to "One Sip Sour Tea"

入到去好寧靜,同出面兩個世界,menu d食物勁靚,慳靚,個名仲靚!乜野蟹羔蟹肉拉麵.就簡左個名勁靚既蟹羔蟹肉拉麵+張相影到d 生既salmon勁靚既salmon炒飯鐵版同埋墨魚咀.
上菜速度如同快餐店.大概兩3分鐘吧.蟹羔拉麵先來,無蟹羔的- - 見到既就只有蟹肉,仲要唔知蟹肉定蟹柳,不過乜蟹都無所謂,因為佢既湯底係同出前一丁99%相同味.勁難食=.=仲要收我70定80,救命 (啊,第1眼係見到條頭髮先)
慢一兩分鐘既神速鐵版亦唔差,包裝幾靚,好似pepper lunch咁有紙包住,倒汁~專人幫你撈埋,香噴噴咁.不過得個香字,首先d 3文魚熟晒,好灰,d飯既味仲要比茶餐廳既炒飯更差,仲衰過先前果個出前一丁拉麵!好求其!
最後小食墨魚咀好彩似反d樣,喊喊地好有咬口唔差.
呢個日本餐廳好成功呀,以外表吸引人,好可惜我相信每一個黎過既客人都唔會想再去

鐵板燒飯
對這裏附近的幾間食肆都興趣不大,但不想再找,就試試六本木。
點了鐵板燒飯--三文魚/鰻魚汁($52.8) 和日式咖哩牛肉烏冬($45.8) 。
首先講講熱奶茶,點菜時巳要落單,但問是否一起上時自己無端端答了是。
結果餐後,奶茶放涼了點,不熱的奶茶當然打了折扣,但其實想講的是奶茶本身超難飲,真是例行的奶+茶。
鐵板燒飯不特別好吃,吃快些怕燙了嘴,吃慢些怕飯變得太乾了。烏冬不過不失。
很怱忙的吃完一餐,也不想再坐一會。
有些感覺解釋不到或許就叫緣份,有些餐廳食肆會留下各種各樣的感覺,有些就像為了吃午餐而吃午餐罷了。
價錢雖不算貴,如果感覺是吃快餐就略貴了。

不是不好吃,只是一些飯焦,和石頭窩飯差不多但貴XD,份量也不多,汁挺不錯
三文魚是熟的好像挺浪費

挺好吃,很有奶味,這個不錯所以還可以給OK

Green tea sundae with kanten

也不是想像中的差
三時多來到,還以為可以一次過order這兩間(六本木與米pizza)的食物,原來是要分開的,不過我們想吃的也是六本木,所以就去入了六本木
tea 2:30 - 5:30pm (食物 + drink)
1) 日式咖哩牛肉細飯set:普通的日式咖哩,咖哩不辣,飯的口感不錯,個日本米幾好
2) 芝麻汁迷你蟹肉冷麵set:我以為另上的『啡色醬』是芝麻汁,所以我將它撈在麵上,原來是wasabi!!!!
3) 海鹽焦糖雪糕:這個是我來的原因!因為剛去完沖繩,十分十分懷念那裡的海鹽雪糕!所以知道這裡有海鹽雪糕就想來試(雖然朋友說我應該會失望),最後真的失望(未算是非常差,可能期望過高)。海鹽味道要吃多幾啖才 feel 到少少,牛奶味不重,朋友更說幾甜。我在沖繩吃的是超重牛奶味,沒有糖味,重海鹽味,及overall 好好味…
看來要回到沖繩才有正宗的海鹽雪糕
其他:
1) 想說說這裡的decoration,在店內拍了一些照片,發現以鏡的那邊作background幾靚,還有會從幾個角度找到拿著相機的自己
2) 餐飲的杯好細,但好靚,朋友的熱咖啡不錯,像天后的『長崎咖啡』
3) 冷氣超凍
4) 服務不錯
5) 不是之前所說的差,以tea來說算可以啦

To be honest, I have no interests on trying any of the savory dishes at Roppongi Sabo (六本木茶房). This kind of gimmicky localized Japanese food tends to turn me off instantly, but I am here for one thing: their salt caramel gelato (海鹽焦糖雪糕, $32.8).

好多野做, 做到興起, 點知八號風球黑燒鵝殺到, 被迫放低手頭上既工作...街外人人放工跑住番屋企, 不過醫肚要緊, 飯始終都係要食架! 快快趣去亦本木茶房食個鐵板式既燒飯, 然後快快趣番屋企繼續做! 至於好唔好食?又睇落去?

話說呢間六本木茶房由日本登陸香港, 佢同日式 Pepper Lunch 都係以鐵板燒飯主打! 前者亦有牛,豬雞,魚同其他居食屋小食; 後者則以集中唔同既牛肉配鐵板燒飯為主。

配汁有鰻魚, 咖哩, 燒汁, 黑椒, 蕃茄汁揀選, 穩鎮起見揀燒汁, 快手將燒汁倒落珍珠飯上連粟米洋蔥紅椒等混埋食...先講講飯同肉既比例 8 : 2, 真係太少肉了, 牛舌肉質同肉味沒有驚喜, 至於飯粒, 就算即刻食都略嫌乾身, 以呢個質素, 八十元落樓真係唔值! 同類型既 Pepper Lunch 雖然唔係超級好食, 不過價錢合理, 六本木茶房雖然都係由日本過黎, 可惜都係登陸失敗...其實好多間由日本本土"遠征" 過黎香港, 味道大都比當地差得多 (康竜, 大阪王將...), 稍為接近日本質素一點的 Pepper Lunch 同 Mos Burger 已經算唔錯了!
雖然主打鐵板燒飯唔好味, 但係環境就唔錯, 飲野傾計都唔錯, 通風系統好, 食完唔會有油煙味!

沒有日本的感覺
點了一個叉燒拉麵($45.8),一個牛舌鐵板飯($68.8)。
叉燒拉麵︰選了麵豉湯底,不甚了了。拉麵是曲的一種,煮得不會太腍,不錯。叉燒也算入味,這個價錢也算物有所值吧。
牛舌鐵板飯來了,不過炒沒一會就冷卻下來,而有幾片牛舌更是韌得咀嚼不了。飯又不夠香,價錢和品質都不太相稱。我們愈食愈頹,不過總叫試過了。
看到這裡的甜品與麻布的很相似,又不便宜,還是乘叮叮到中環吃乳酪更開心。

一入到舖就俾人安排左近門口既死角位(又係咁...次次2個人食飯都要俾人編去坐呢D位
我地叫左一個
1. 牛肉鐵板飯 (唔記得MENU個名)

等左一陣有得食喇~見佢來勢兇兇好似PEPPER LUNCH咁圍哂紙條....點知...一落醬汁既時候個鐵板只係好行貨咁"喳"兩聲...
到左我碟冷麵喇~~一送到黎我面前摸一摸隻碟,咦OK喎夠凍...唔通咁有心雪凍埋隻碟做哂FULL PACKAGE? 一放啖麵落口,且~~原來又係煮完個麵過完冷河放落碟。
成碟冷麵既味道好分明,麵、泡菜、豬肉同配菜好似大家唔識大家~撈埋左之後都唔覺好味。
食到最後夫人見到隔離檯食雪糕,建議不如下一次黎試埋先決定呢間野以後仲食唔食。我即時話不如試埋啦,我唔想下次專登返黎試個甜品,於是我地就叫左個甜薯雪糕。
好彩,呢個甜品都仲OK~不過雪糕既滑度同甜薯既香都係唔夠麻布...所以抵人家生意咁好。
雖然甜品都OK~但係呢間野我相信同夫人會返黎食既機會就真係好少好少好少喇......

叫左兩個霜降牛肉同一個牛舌鐵板飯,仲有一個咖哩吉列豬扒飯
霜降牛肉果兩個,牛肉同打邊爐D肥牛冇乜分別,
但就係因為咁薄,基本上上到黎即炒都已經"炭"左一面
牛舌好D,因為牛舌彈性好D,又厚D,淨係個邊變左脆片,中間弓起左就好D
但我個牛舌D伴菜焦晒,塊蒜片真係炭化左,成塊黑左
配汁唔夠,我個fd 加左兩次汁
整體黎講,份量奇細,平時細食ge 女仔都覺得唔飽
配合埋D飯焦同埋果少得可憐ge 餸,我直情覺得食緊人地食剩ge 煲仔飯咁
我同個fd 食完好似冇食過咁,最後要去發記食甜品填肚
我地係禮拜五晚七點左右去食,鋪頭客流唔多,
但係勁多waitress,基本上係一個waitress mark 一檯客
Dwaitress 一有客入就用日文大嗌歡迎光臨,我同班fd 都覺得好噪音同好煩
一人mark 一檯就會極速加水,所以我地食完之後坐左好耐吹水,
猛飲水飲返個service charge,個飯真係幾唔抵食,又唔包飲品
P.S.:一行人走果陣,企門口podium 果個妹妹仔完全礙住條路,
第一個fd 出去果陣佢基本上唔識閃,我個fd 要出聲叫佢借開佢先閃開少少
跟住又極速頂返住條路,到我緊接住行出黎果陣,佢仲要手舞足蹈打左我一巴
姐姐仔呀,你唔係諗住個個出黎ge 客都係得一個人ga 下話?

做得還不錯的木魚伴菠菜
翻開 MENU 以鐵板燒飯為主打, 立即想起塱豪坊美食廣場內都有賣同類食品, 而且味道不錯, 不知跟這裡比較如何.
總括來說甜點做得不錯, 但主打菜還需改善, 希望下次會有更佳表現!!
