I've tried several breasfasts here, all of them taste good. Evert bagel is freshly made and serve warm. I love the cream cheese inside.
Vancouver Breakfast (Smoked Salmon+Pineapple+Vegetable+Cream Cheese) is what I recommended. It's light, healthy and yummy. No worry of calories after eating the whole bagel ;-) Good option for girl!

Tim Horton's Double Double: Oh Canada!
There are often arguments on which style of bagel is better: Montreal’s bagels or New York bagels. Personally I really don’t care what style it is, as long as the bagel is fresh and tasty with a great texture. That’s my 3 basic requirements for a good bagel. Then if it is made into a bagel sandwich, the fillings would be judged as well.
When I walked into Yo Bago, I already prepared myself that the bagels here wouldn’t be like Montreal’s or New York’s. Afterall, I never have European bread in Hong Kong that’s comparable to those overseas. But I don’t mind having a bagel of Yo Bago’s style as long as it is good. Just like I don’t mind ordering a Chinese styled spaghetti if it is well prepared and flavorful.
I ordered a 2 person tea sets ($48)which consisted of a cream cheese bagel and a bagel “lite” (with choices of salami, smoked ham, roast beef, pastrami) as well as 2 Tim Horton’s Double Double. That’s a pretty good way to see how this place holds up in the fundamentals of the bagel bread itself and in making a bagel sandwich. The staff was extremely courteous, actually so nice that it made me feel bad to complain about anything. That said, I want to be honest about their creations, which didn’t take away their excellent service but did dampen the overall dining experience:
Cream Cheese Bagel: I selected the smoked salmon cream cheese on an onion bagel which was my standard order when I lived overseas, somewhat a play on the classic combination of smoked salmon and onions. I must say I was rather disappointed. The bagel didn’t taste fresh despite being slightly heated. It didn’t develop a crispy crust outside, and the inside was dense and chewy but sticky to the mouth. In fact it reminded me so much of the supermarket prepackaged bagels which I am not a fan of. The bottom “baked” marks made me suspicious of whether these indeed are the supermarket variety. There wasn’t any discernible onion taste to the bagel, and if it wasn’t that I picked it myself I probably would have thought that it was a plain bagel. Overall the bagel failed in all three dimensions in my book, namely, freshness, flavor, and texture.
The cream cheese again tasted very much like the Philadelphia smoked salmon cream cheese you can buy in supermarket, and while it tasted alright on its own, the thin layer of cream cheese was too mild and weak when combined with the bagel bread. I didn’t expect them to have the freshly whipped light and creamy cream cheese, but at least give me enough so I didn’t feel deprived.
Bagel “Lite”: I wish this sandwich would fare better but it didn’t. When I browsed over the deli meat at the counter, I could immediately tell that the roast beef and pastrami are of store-bought varieties, a big difference from what I had at Kaiser’s Deli.(http://www.openrice.com/restaurant/commentdetail.htm?commentid=2017870) The salami wasn’t exactly the gourmet version either, but being picky about my beef I rather gambled on the salami.
I ended up choosing the poppy seed bagel with salami. As I mentioned in the Kaiser’s Deli’s post, poppy seed is my favorite bread topping, but the poppy seed bagel at Yo Bago didn’t excite me. In fact, the poppy seeds tasted stale and brought back those unfavorable memories of stale poppy seed breads that I got in Manhattan.
The sandwich consisted of only two small pieces of salami which couldn’t even cover the surface of the bagel and they just looked minuscule. I understand it’s bagel “lite” and should come in smaller size, but the meat was just too thin and tiny that I couldn’t help but to feel “sad” about this sandwich.
Fortunately the vegetables were actually fresh and the addition of rocket leaves was a nice touch. The right amount of mayo helped to improve the flavor profile of the sandwich. That said, there were just too many flaws in this sandwich to give it a passing grade (stale poppy seeds being the biggest killer).
The best part of the meal got to be the Double Double. I am a fan of Tim Hortons and though I never ordered Double Double when I lived in Toronto I found this to be very soothing and delicious. I wish there were as many Tim Hortons as Starbucks in Hong Kong because I don’t think I can bring myself to Yo Bago just because of the coffee.
Sandwiches aren’t one of those things that I look into for a gastronomic adventure or excitement. All I want from a sandwich, cheap or expensive, is just good fresh bread with quality fillings (either well-prepared or at least good quality), one that when I finish, I feel happy and satisfied. That's how I felt when I was at Kaiser’s Deli. What I don’t want is to feel that the sandwich is made with ingredients and bread all come from supermarkets with someone just putting them together for you, which was sort of what I felt about my experiences at Yo Bago. I can tell that the owners and the staff are indeed passionate in giving top-notch service to their customers, and I only wish if they can give first rated products to their diners as well.
Took a while to find the place. It's a little out of place with construction materials shops around it and inside the fresh market area.
But the bago's are wonderful and the coffee is from Tim Horton (for all the die-hard TH fans). We also tried the 'oreo cream cheese' bagel which is quite interesting.
We went on Saturday noon time and the place is packed. Perhaps time to think about shop #2, given that there the previous bagel place did not make it for very long.

快快找位子坐下, 很多選擇的menu, 花多也眼亂~~~
從來也不好吃肉的我, 最終也是選了"ivy's veggie"~
等了一回, 點的送上了~
很美的presentation~未吃便先感開懷
比高與餡料很匹配.吃後感到很滿足*
看到製作食物的周事都戴上手套, 製作認真及合符衛生。而服務人會於客人離開後立即清理。
環境舒適, 適合慢慢嘆!~

BRILLIANT BAGEL
店舖樓面雖細小, 容不下附近辦公室午飯時間的大量人流
但門面乾淨, 開放式廚放的環境也衛生, 令人吃得放心
由於午飯時間已非常滿坐, 加上得自己一個, 就買外賣喇
製作bagel需時, 見啲伙記都忙得不可開交
店主三番四次話唔好意思, 要我等
我係咁話唔緊要, 搞到我自己都覺得唔好意思添
這次吃的是vancouver breakfast,
ten cereal bagel + 三文魚+菠蘿+cream cheese (好味到爆燈)+salad (菜+蕃茄)
呢個combination簡直是一絕,
令人回味無窮.. 欲罷不能呀~~ 一定一定會再去幫趁!

大圈圈與小圈圈***
三年前曾到過加國三星期,最記得的就是那時海天一色的風景和常在手的Tim Horton's既咖啡,真係兩三日就飲一次,想不到今天來到這裡又有機會嚐回那種味道。一進到去店主立即很友善的和我打招呼,我先坐低看了一陣menu,由於很肚餓,就叫了一個tea set,有一個大圈圈和一個小圈圈,再加一杯Tim Horton's咖啡,這個餐價值$29,價錢也真的不算貴。
先講大圈圈 (Bagel Lite),佢有幾款材料可以揀,如煙火腿,莎樂美腸,醃燻牛肉和燒牛肉等,最後我選擇了燒牛肉。另外Bagel亦有多款選擇,他細心解釋有數款會是體積較細的如朱古力味等,最後我選擇了Honey wheat,因為我喜歡麥包那種淡淡的穀麥香味。再講小圈圈(Mini Bagel),可以揀一種cream cheese既味道,佢有好多款選擇,最後選了他們自家製的honey walnut,店主說這是最受歡迎的呢。
咖啡很快便來到,加糖加奶一樣也沒少,可是喝下去一點也不會覺得過甜,反而我覺得甜度剛剛好,有時飲品太甜很難捱的! 不算特別香,但也是可接受的,只是為何要用紙杯呢? 雖然說可以節省功夫,但堂食應該可以更環保一點吧! ><
食物來到發現原來份量一點也不少,我吃畢整份也變得飽飽的了! 選了麥包的大圈圈吃下口真的有一種淡淡的香味,是一種很天然的味道,口感有少少煙un的,不是軟熟的那種,喜歡較有咬感的應該會覺得挺不錯。配上材料如蕃茄,生菜和燒牛肉,再加上少少沙律汁,味道很配合很好吃,是一種較為清新,不會很漏的感覺。份量很大,它幫我切了一半可以讓我吃得較安全,因為我可是非常論盡的,如不切開,一定會吃到左跌右跌。=P
小圈圈配HONEY WALNUT味道既Cream cheese,也是很好吃呢,是另一種風味。不太吃到核桃的味道,但卻吃到一粒粒細細的像是核桃的東西,整個cream cheese也是甜甜的,雖然沒有核桃的味道,但它和簡單的mini bagel也挺夾的,像吃甜點一樣呢。=)
店內還有雜誌提供,吃畢後看了一會雜誌就走了,對了對了,它還可用八達通付款呢! 可用八達通真的是非常方便的一件事,嘟一嘟就搞掂!

NOT real real bagel
去到個男士好nice,我估佢係老闆,介紹間店既食物。
叫左個tea set,包括1個大既smoked ham bagel 同一個細既bagel(另配1個flavor的cream cheese,佢介紹我食money walnut),加1杯coffee。

size都叫ok,而且有1大1細,可以試到唔同既野。
smoked ham bagel:不過不失啦,不過唔係我想要既american bagel lor。真正既bagel係要咬落去時有d sticky,而且重身好多。雖然d 涵都ok,有羅馬生菜同蕃茄,如果個bagel可以做d 正宗,就perfect啦。
small bagel with money walnut cream cheese:
芝麻bagel幾香口,不過cream cheese一d 都唔食唔出walnut......。味道其實幾得,只不過如果唔講,我唔會知係有money同walnut lor.......
coffee:叫左杯double nothing (如果我無記錯老闆同我講既野),即要smilk mike without sugar。size 都幾大,如平時starbuck飲既tall size。有淡淡既咖啡香,不錯。建議可以用瓷杯上,既可保暖,又可以環保。
其實當日好想比d comment個老闆,只不過佢剛剛有個朋友(應該係從外國返黎既)搵佢,所以無機會......
overall,以$29食到咁既quality都算不錯。

Cannot stop loving Vancouver Breakfast!
Vancouver Breakfast is always my favourite - cream cheese + smoked salmon + pineapple + salad vege! Healthy and not 'fat'!
I am very sure that I'll keep trying their bagos from time to time in the future!
Oh! I almost forget - my next mission: try all their homemade cream cheese!!!

烘過的bago正
cream cheese 相當滑 ,分量又多。大啖咬落爆了不少出來,認真失禮。
選擇了blueberry味道,夠濃又帶點酸,不錯。
onion味道的麵包本身並非軟熟一族,不過不失。
至於egg & cheese bago則要等上一陣。spinach味道的麵包烘過,熱熱的又有點脆口,感覺不同,吸引得多。
厚蛋加上芝士及新鮮的火箭菜,還有車厘茄作伴,好食且豐富。
一向飲咖啡都不加糖,因此跟餐的double double改為double single。味道濃,飲落順滑,亦令我倆滿意。
收你廿幾,好過去大XX或Super XX之類的快餐店。

想吃個下午茶,看見OR 關於這店的食評,也來試下,但原來地點頗隱蔽。
這店的主打是Bagel,中間有個窿、圓形的包,共有八款口味,如洋蔥,菠菜,肉桂和提子乾,蜜糖和麥,十穀,朱古力,罌粟子和原味。而下午茶餐可選其中一款bagel 配一款特選味道的忌廉芝士,如藍莓,煙三文魚,青芥,菠蘿等,再加一杯咖啡。
我選了煙三文魚忌廉芝士罌粟子bagel 和咖啡,店員很有禮貌地告訴,罌粟子 bagel 的體積是八款中最細的,這也沒有問題,想過口癮,又不是要飽肚。咖啡是 Tim Horton's double double ,是即煲的,店員會加好糖奶給你,但我嫌奶太少,不夠奶香,咖啡香味足夠,但飲時覺啡味較弱,而且filter 得不好,有幼微啡粉走了出來。Bagel 是烘熱後,塗上煙三文魚忌廉芝士醬,是超市貨架可買到的,雖好味,但無驚喜。
也許要試鹹的 bagel 才可感受其威力。店員的服務和譪可親,是這店最大賣點。

留意呢間係香港的bagel 專門店,而且bagel 以Canada 的地方命名,我同男朋友都咁愛加拿大,點可以唔黎試試呢????
星期五,同男朋友都Annaul leave, 兩點度去到,一去到的感覺都幾舒服,因為好光猛,加上門口係落地玻璃,望到晒出面,所以感覺唔局促。

Tim hortons 係加拿大周圍都係,不過呢度只係得一種,如果有其他種類 e.g. French vanilla 就好啦!!
menu 有Halifax Breakfast, 材料係lobster, 嘩,下次試下都好! 不過店主真係好有心思,識得利用當地特產諗菜式!!

先講吓杯懷念已久嘅 Tim Horton Coffee!好飲!同响加拿大飲嘅tim horton 咖啡一樣! 另外主菜Bagel,食咗Vancouver Breakfast同Calgary Breakfast with Onion Bagel!
Vancouver真係大件夾低食,煙三文魚味道香,唔係Cheap 嘢!用了生鮮蔬菜同番茄!好味道! Calgary 嘅Roasted Beef,有响加拿大以前食開嘅cold cut 味道再加上Cheese 同egg,整體味道很夾!值得講吓係Onion Bagel,Onion 味道唔會搶走你嘅味覺! 微微洋葱味道及暖暖的飽係會令你愛上!

由英皇道轉入濱海街,途經港式傳統街市,行入一點,經過招牌製作公司,兩條赤身大漢,正在製作差不多有十尺長的招牌,再與廢紙回收公司擦身而過,工人不停地向鐵籠的廢紙射水,環境實在有點混亂。其後一間裝修得頗為別緻的小店在眼前出現,雖然感覺是有點格格不入,但進入店後,卻有另一番感受。
店子雖小,可能時間剛好在早餐與午餐之間的尷尬時段,只有兩檯客人,坐下後看看餐牌,雖只賣獨沽一味的Bago,但組合上的變化頗多。在店主簡單的介紹下,食物方面點了Vancouver Breakfast (plain bago, smoked salmon, pineapple) ($36.00)及Calgary Breakfast (onion bago, roast beef, egg) ($36.00),而飲品亦選了兩杯tim horton's DOUBLE DOUBLE (12oz) (@$8.00)。
先來兩杯飲品tim horton's DOUBLE DOUBLE (12oz),是預先加奶加糖的咖啡,雖然店主介紹時說,DOUBLE DOUBLE的意思是「Double奶及Double糖」,但其實味道方面也不是「十分奶及十分糖」味,與一般咖啡分別不大,尚算不錯,但以$8.00一杯來說則十分抵飲。
然後Vancouver Breakfast跟著送到,份量絕對比預期的大。Bago預先切開了一半,但由於餡料太豐滿的關係,拿出來也有點費力。仍帶微暖的plain bago包,咬下感覺鬆軟,帶著麵粉的原始味道,smoked salmon夠鮮味,份量亦夠,pineapple微酸的汁液注入了清新感,生菜及蕃茄充滿水份,底層塗了薄薄的original cream cheese,令味道上頓時變得複雜一些。無論是味道、口感、賣相、份量同樣出色。
而Calgary Breakfast的餡料,則欠了一點清新感,反而是較heavy的感覺,較適合肉食人士。onion bago較硬身一點,味道上亦帶點鹹,roast beef尚算嫩,味道淡淡的,而蛋則是用蛋漿煎成,蛋味不濃,只有質感而沒甚味道。生菜及蕃茄當然又是充滿水份的新鮮感。
兩款bago中以Vancouver Breakfast較精彩,另外在進食途中看見店主正在焗製bago,難怪bago會如此新鮮鬆軟。服務勤快有禮,男女店主同樣面帶笑容,感覺有善。環境雖只屬一般,未算得上舒適,但食物的水準可以完全彌補此缺點,是一間值得專程前來一試的小店。

悠閒的早餐Yo Bago
因為取了AL,一早約好了到鰂魚涌的"Yo Bago",
試試比高包包~~~
大約中午12時才到達,店員很有禮貌,會拉門讓我們進去,值得一讚,
我坐下來,想也不想已經要了Vancouver Breakfast,入面夾著厚厚的煙三文魚,
新鮮的生菜,還有菠蘿,吃得出菠蘿和蕃茄都好新鮮仲有汁,
但不會過甜搶走三文魚的味道,原來包面還有七款可以選擇,
我的Vancouver配了spinach,
第一次吃比高包,淡淡的香草味,
入面還塗了cream cheese,和其他配料出奇地夾,好味~~~!!
之前看過網上的食評,說包包不夠熱,
這天包包是暖暖的剛烘起的感覺,咬下去也是脆的,
感覺很好,也吃得出小店的心機~~~
健仔選了Calgary Breakfast,配了honey wheat的包包,
烤牛肉切成薄薄的好多片,厚厚的煎蛋,加上cream cheese和生菜,
味道比Vancouver濃郁,有很香的肉味,蛋很嫩滑,
甜甜的包包,也很好味呢!!!
不過,我始終喜歡清新的三文魚~~~~(^3^)

What I don’t want is to feel that the sandwich is made with ingredients and bread all come from supermarkets with someone just putting them together for you, which was sort of what I felt about my experiences at Yo Bago. I can tell that the owners and the staff are indeed passionate in giving top-notch service to their customers, and I only wish if they can give first rated products to their diners as well.

great bagel, but not sure it's the right location
But the bago's are wonderful and the coffee is from Tim Horton (for all the die-hard TH fans). We also tried the 'oreo cream cheese' bagel which is quite interesting.
We went on Saturday noon time and the place is packed. Perhaps time to think about shop #2, given that there the previous bagel place did not make it for very long.

honey wheat bagel甜甜地好好味~ Roasted Beef唔孤寒, 比成4塊你! 仲有芝士, 生菜, 蕃茄等, 都新鮮~ 係隻蛋有d假… overall味道很好~ 有啖啖肉嘅餡, 加甜甜地但輕怡嘅bagel~ 好滿足!

呢個看似比較健康嘅bago, 有大量嘅菜同一塊蕃茄, 主角Tuna Salad加咗我最愛嘅粟米, 真係啱晒我心水, 而且味道都豐富d! 至於spinach bagel, 個包係青青地, 但就唔係好覺有菠菜味~ 普通啦~
我同呀比都係大食底~ 但呢兩個小bago竟然能夠滿足我地個胃~ 好神奇! 基本上整體都唔錯~ 食物夠鮮製, 服務又親切~ 午餐黎食+$3有罐裝汽水, +$8有佢地特色咖啡DOUBLE DOUBLE, 下次等我地試下先~ 美中不足係, 唔知係咪因為bagel個窿, d餡成日左傾右瀉, 食得有d呢hea~~~
