I was quite pleased with the sakura cheesecake I had last time (http://www.openrice.com/restaurant/commentdetail.htm?commentid=1992280), so this time I decided to order two more pieces to share with my friends on top of the cheesecake.
Mont-Blanc was gorgeously covered with strands of chestnut mousse, a half of a sweetened chestnut, plus two biscuits on the side. The chestnut flavor wasn’t very strong, and everything was pretty quite delicious though nothing blew me away. The more surprising part was the raspberry filling inside, which provided a nice hint of citrus tang and was a refreshing complement to the chestnut components. Similar to most of their offerings, the mont-blanc was not overly sweet, which is something I always appreciate as I am not really a sweet fanatic.
The cream puff has a very creamy and custardy innards, not as airy as Beard Papa's, but more dense and velvety in texture. The puff was sadly a bit too chewy as it wasn’t freshly made. Otherwise this would be another great option for a non-chocolaty dessert.

It was a piece of eye-candy and I felt almost guilty to cut it apart. The pink jelly had a very light fruity flavor, and when combined with the slightly tart cheesecake mousse and the thin layer of sponge cake, it was refreshing and comforting at the same time. The cheesecake mousse had a custardy texture that was airy and creamy. I tried to savor every bite, as like sakura itself, this small cake only lasted for a short time. I am planning to get the large sakura cake ($180/lb) very soon, before the sakura season ends this year.
Although sakura itself doesn’t last long, I picked up a bottle of 桜のお塩(sakura salt) at City'Super. It was a combination of salt, bits of sakura flowers and leaves, ゆず(柚子), and しそ梅酢 (shiso plum vinegar). Sakura is almost flavorless on its own, but the yuzu and shiso plum provide a hint of refreshing sourness to complement the salty note. I have already used it for tempura, fried food, and on grilled seafood, and a tiny sprinkle or dip of the pinkish salt not only adds flavor but color as well. This 桜のお塩 was definitely a pleasant discovery, and I know this bottle will last for a long long time.

翌日已經要比賽,根據教練的錦囊,是日要吃一排朱古力,儘量增加能量。在去citysuper買朱古力的途中,見到這個半月型的朱古力餅幾得意,吃埋無壞。
賣相很精美,包裝也一絲不苟的。吃起來面層是濃濃的牛奶朱古力,不苦卻很香甜。內裡是橙味的朱古力慕絲,也是很濃郁的。平日的我,必會吃到牙軟,但是日又好像吃得幾合胃口,因為知道要為自己fuel up!
32蚊一件,不便宜,而甜牙齒必喜歡。

雖然小小的,但份量剛剛好,
買回來後記住要快食,若果在室溫放得太耐,就無左creamy 既 效果!
果樽仔可以留起,第日自己有時間,可作甜品樽用,very good!!!!

不過買來哄朋友開心都值得,因朋友不能吃芝士,不喜歡cream,此蛋糕較適合他

就是 The BLACK Roulade 竹炭芝麻黑豆卷 .....
在尖咀海港城 Citysuper 看到這款特別蛋糕被它吸引住, 橫豎當日是朋友的大好日子, 一於買下它作為生日禮物 (不要再說我偏心了). 雖然蛋糕是黑色的, 但牛一朋友為人百無禁忌, 怕什麼!
其實好想再買焦糖吉士布丁的說......
這個瑞士卷加入竹炭做成, 內有黑芝麻忌廉, 丹波黑豆粒和紅豆粒. 卷物質地挺身實在, 味道不太甜, 黑芝麻忌廉還有沙沙的口感, 很有趣. 可惜當日在泰豐廔吃得太飽, 大家只好慢慢地吃完它.

不過唔知係咪期望太大, 今次食個PUFF又好似無上次咁正.明明上次個PUFF面都好脆D CREAM又唔甜又帶少少ALMOND, 今次就完全唔同個PUFF又唔脆D CREAM有甜又無ALMOND真係有點失望..不過我都會再俾多一次機會佢, 下次再去就只買一個試吓啦.
