When I first started food blogging, I did it because I had free to time kill. Several have months passed and I find myself enjoying what I am doing right now, every single moment of it. It has become part of my instinct to leave home with a camera, take pictures of food being served, take notes of the dining experiences and think of how best to share the experiences with all food lovers. Arriving early in the Wna Chai area, I picked Caffe Habitu to take a little short break while waiting for my friends. I haven't been to Caffe Habitu for a long while and this outlet is my first time. This franchise has been expanding quite rapidly over last several years. In my opinion, one of the key elements that differs from other similar establishment is its setting and spacious decor which includes the cozy sofas and etc. It is not the food that would attract me to return. How about the coffee you ask? Well, there is much room for "re-improvement" in my humble opinion. I say "re-improvement" because it used to be decent and consistency with their coffee beverages but lately (as in the past year), the fluctuating quality maybe due to rapid expansion perhaps?

(1) Cappuccino Burlee
This is a new seasonally creation. There used to be a caramelized latte on menu before but this time it is Cappuccino instead. The foam was fine and fair but the coffee was not strong enough. An extra shot would be nice. The crispy caramelized layer a bit too sweet and overly sticky to my likely (stuck between teeth like toffee candy).

(2) Lychee Dream
Another new creation on the menu. I consisted of layers of lychee jelly topped with a pinkish meringue layer. The meringue was slightly too soft in my opinion and the crust was too soft / soggy as well. While there was strong and rich lychee flavor through the dessert, it was too sweet for me. It somehow reminded me of the Baked Alaska from Jimmy's Kitchen.

第二天返工，同事話佢地通常都係行去灣仔，見到邊度唔駛等就邊度食。上年暑假係灣仔做野，經驗話我知灣仔好食既野（除非係貴架啦）都係要等的，咁即係...-_-。不過作為新仔廢事講咁多野，就跟大隊算了。到了caffe habitu的門口有人便提議去食，睇都冇睇menu就衝左入去，唔似得我咁孤寒，要check清楚價錢先入哈哈。

環境很舒服的，而且雖然係lunch hour但好少人，好清靜，而且有免費wifi，絕對係來tea或來用下電腦的好地方。到了counter order左野，就可以埋位有人會攞畀你。主要的食物有panini同pasta，但每樣都係得三四款（有一款會每日唔同，其餘的係set死的），所以選擇並不多，最後叫了一個pasta of the day--辣雞肉天使麵。

一向不太鐘意食天使麵的，因為唔鐘意香港的餐廳煮到佢林batbat，違反了pasta al dente的原則（叫左只係因為冇咩選擇），但依個天使麵都算做得有咬口，不錯的。叫的時候，收銀員都有話會有D辣，但估唔到都真係幾辣...叫佢畀水佢又話只可以畀熱水，有冇搞錯-_-。雞肉有D乾，整個pasta其實都係一般，但份量幾多的，搭救返。

回到家睇到食評，見到D甜品同咖啡好似幾好飲的，有機會可以返來試一試，但食lunch的話就未必了。

係個度有hk magazine派, 一邊睇dining page 一邊食, 好正~

今天下午在大道東這家店吃了一頓最沒誠意的下午茶，98元兩位，包兩杯飲品也不貴，不過我和朋友吃完後，相信走進任何一家茶餐廳都可以吃到比這裡好吃的下午茶。下午茶有沙律一小個，上有parma ham及莎樂美腸少許，菜不新鮮，已經令人不快。再吃scone，沒有奶油，而且太硬。brownie，只有甜味，巧克力味欠奉! 另外有一杯生果，再加一杯乳酪，可是這是二人餐，我們如何共用一杯生果加乳酪﹖而且生果杯很少，如何把乳酪倒進去﹖最後我們只可以說「無誠意」，以及後悔跑了進來。
另外， 我們無論如何都想不到，在這裡吃東西，要一面吃一面趕烏蠅，對你沒看錯，是烏蠅。

Came to try the new product sea salt chocolate cake as refered by Louise... Last time we had a caramel salted garnache at La Maison Du Chocolat and it was VERY DELICIOUS...BUT very expensive too i think we paid $6. xGuess its from France...

This one in Cafe Habitu is very smooth and rich. At the price of $35, its good value, at least in my view.. 60% cocao and some sea salt crystals on top, the size is rather generous. The bottom crisp layer is interesting. Good match and am glad to find new excitement each time i come.

I think Cafe Habitu is one cafe which brings new things to customers often. This is why many of our friends like this brand. I hope they dont get too commercialized like the others and remain unique and full of heart.. its something we Hong Kongers need as we;re tired of the copy and paste, fast food operations. During this tsunami, we need an oasis and a relief from stress.. Keep it up!

離開「下場」時間比平日早, 返屋企前拉了朋友0黎呢度 hea 0下傾0下偈. 坐低已 9:xx pm, 唔飲咖啡了, 今次食 Temptation (http://www.openrice.com/restaurant/commentdetail.htm?commentid=1965605) 以外另一款朱古力蛋糕 -- 好似叫咩 sea salt molten chocolate cake 之類 ($35).

滿懷希望將佢切開, 點知原來唔係 molten 的, 只係中間有少少朱古力 sauce, 但因為係 "sea salt" 味, 味道極鹹, 感覺怪怪的 -- 當然知道鹽梗係鹹0架啦, 但都唔使鹹成咁0卦? (好在) mousse 部分就係甜的, 朱古力味算濃, 唯有自行走 sauce. 唉, 又貪玩累事...

朋友的係唔知乜名的 chocolate truffle, 朱古力味唔算好濃, 食落又乾乾的, 百分百好睇唔好食.

不過都唔夠 iced chocolate 唔掂, 上凍下熱 (茶餐廳麼?), 朱古力味頗弱, 而且太強烈 vanilla essence 味了.

對 Caffe Habitu 每次期望, 每次都失望, 今次經歷絕對值喊面, 但應該仲會再來的 -- 0係金鐘灣仔呢一帶飲咖啡, 唔係去 Starbucks 飲「疑似」貨色呀嘛?

周末晚上七時，人不算多。留在店裡的，不是溫書就是在用手提電腦，這些人大概是想找個可以靜下來的地方做自己的事才會買飲品或三文治。

我們四個人不算太餓，叫了蕃茄意粉、意大利腸薄餅和凍拿鐵。蕃茄意粉、意大利腸薄餅分量較少，一個人也只是剛好，味道也沒有什麼驚喜。

不過難得這裡比較靜，播著柔和音樂，也是傾天的好地方。

Bacon and cheese croissant - bacon was obviously over cooked, and the croissant was cold...it was terrible!

Linguine - Watery and salty and costly...

Cappuccino - it was obviously a latte, but they insisted that it was a cappuccino, there was no foam at all!?! basically, it tasted like milk served with a big cup

Salmon pannini - the smoked salmon was cooked from toasting...bad

Hot chocolate - this was probably the only thing that went alright, at least we could identify the coffee taste

Americano - served luke warm, i wonder why it wasn't hot...

跟草告別，便繼續和Yan灣仔甜品之行，Yan的「食肆認路大法」好厲害，路痴如我應多多參考和學習~~嘻嘻^^

第一次來Habitu，感覺很舒服，倒有Agnes b的影子，是夜人客不多，看見不少一個人在享受Simple dinner，嘆杯咖啡食件Panini，配上寧靜的環境，好寫意。這裡是個給繁忙的都市人卸下壓力的好地方。

Pasta@Vongole：Liguine彈牙帶點煙韌，不過腍亦不過硬，做得不錯。有蜆肉、蕃茄粒、洋蔥和點點chili，材料新鮮，主要用食材吊味，調味料下得不多，酸酸地咁味道清新，女士們會喜愛。

甜品時間
Limone：平時較少會吃檸檬tart，如果食甜品，經常會漠視它的存在，但是夜Habitu的檸檬tart卻令我一試愛上，真的很好味啊~面頭的蛋白霜有微微糖粒，甜得過癮，酥脆Tart皮底下原來有一層朱古力做底，驚喜!中間滑滑的的吉士和檸檬茸一酸一甜，味道好夾，整體層次豐富，好美味。

Cherry Tiramisu：Yan成功捊擄了最大的一杯，thx這個tiramisu做法比較特別，加了新元素，就是choco moouse和cherries，口感豐富，但就不太喜歡後者，味道不太配。整體上，酒味頗重，mascarpone cheese夠滑但味不突出，最愛面層的朱古力漿，好濃郁。雖然不是正宗tiramisu，但做法頗有心思，味道亦不俗，可以一試。

一天的甜品之旅要結束，Habitu是個完滿尾聲，謝謝甜姐兒的推介~很滿足~

得知心太軟已從Olala的menu消失，真失望，草也與男友睇戲去了。剩下與san兩人，甜胃仍未飽，怎辦?不如去caffe habitu晚餐吧，我提議的。其實我對這家咖啡店有不錯的印象，很喜歡它超悠閒舒適的環境，也欣賞它價格平易近人又不失禮的食物。
　
先與san分享一碟spaghetti vongole($68)。意粉軟硬適中略帶黏牙口感，細細粒蜆肉又有鮮香，整碟意粉不需調味已經挺好吃，大家都以清碟行動表示滿意。
　
當然少不了甜品環節；可惜相信來得太遲，是晚剩餘選擇不多，在女店員的推介之下，我們決定4揀2：
　
檸檬批($32)-沒有信錯人，女店員首推的這款批超級好吃：檸檬清新與吉士甜香異常合拍交融，加上頂層的輕香甜與撻皮的酥脆，味道與口感都得到滿足!曾與食友討論過，星記檸檬批的甜酸mix其實會更出色，不過加上口感部分這件作品會更優勝。檸檬批迷值得一試!
　
Cherry Tiramisu ($32)-質感介乎於tiramisu與慕絲餅中間，口感較濕，特別處是tiramisu層中加入車厘子，因此有點黑森林慕絲之感。珠玉在前，與檸檬批自是較為失色了，不過甜魔也OK收貨~
　
同場還有幾款朱古力飲料看來頗吸引，但剛品嚐完Vero極品朱古力，實在不適再試低一班的，大家一於手握暖水杯，慢慢食慢慢傾好了~
　
很舒服的地方，頗不錯的出品，很可愛的對手，加起來又是很滿足的一夜。我只想不通，為什麼這間優質cafe那麼少人呢?

rose latte喝多了,一心想來試試這兒的Temptation和熱朱古力的,誰知道...大失所望!

Temptation只有外面少少黑朱古力漿比較香濃,其他的朱古力mousse都不算香濃,而且很甜,甜國頭了給人一種很"漏"的感覺,裡面的"津"子mousse雖然也有些"津"子香,但也是太甜了. 而且整件都是mousse,雖然說也算幼滑,但始終是缺乏口感,味道也太單調了. 這朱古力蛋糕比港島香格里拉Island Gourmet的招牌朱古力蛋糕chocolate frou-frou差遠了

熱朱古力也完全不好喝,雖然滑但太甜,而且一點也不香濃,味道簡直就像超市買的三花即沖熱朱古力一樣,太令人失望了,比隔鄰太古廣場3座的Chocolux Cafe的香濃熱朱古力(72%/50%)也是差得太遠了

以後都不會來這兒叫朱古力了,還是招牌rose latte有水準

招牌rose latte($32)好滑好creamy,而且好像玫瑰味,十分好喝

pizza新鮮熱辣,餅底又香又薄又脆,好有正宗義大利風味,parma ham pizza($76)的parma ham好咸香,4 cheeses pizza($68)的cheeses也好香,十分好吃

這兒就算是lunch time也不繁忙,一定有座位,sofa好舒服,環境又寧靜又闊落,可以慢慢嘆,十分優閑呢,是我最喜歡的cafe阿

去過幾間habitu 呢間d services 真係算差到爆..

我個人都幾like habitu 既enviroment, 岩晒我溫書同上網.

我重等登過海去食個tea..不過我覺得d staff 唔係幾好..好串..問佢拎杯水都比佢'妙'我咀..可惡呀!!

不過環境同食物真係一流既..

早陣子，適逢在灣仔金鐘交界，因為想找個地方tea一tea, 於是便來了這裡，貪其氣氛悠悠，裝潢幾靚。

太喜歡朱古力了，當然要了一客Temptation，唔係太大件，o岩一個人慢慢食，d朱古力非常非常香濃幼滑，係覺得自己食緊75% dark chocolate落肚。

o係呢度，遠遠已經聞到整個habitu充斥著coffee的氛香，仲order左一杯latte, 夠sai香濃外，喝下時可以感受到latte的味道的層次，那一種味道也蓋不過另一種味道的風頭。好滿足的一次tea。
