For years I have passed by 豪華 without taking a second look at it. It has nothing to do with whether this joint is worth a stop-and-look factor, in fact, I'm sure it does. This just happens to be one of the local establishments that has been around for many years, almost like a staple at this location, that you expect it stick around for another many years, hopefully never closes. I have honestly taken it for granted, and luckily and reassuringly enough, 豪華 is not going anywhere, anytime soon.
Flouescent lighting, folded chairs on tiled floors and old electric fans that make a lot of noise...These are all elements that gloriously exemplify the local style of casual dining of Hong Kong'ers. Service is prompt and the staff are sharp at any given time of the day. The food, despite being much the same across all of the restaurants of this sort, has some uniqueness across the board, and 豪華 is allowing us to remember theirs well enough.
Hot beverages are served in glasses, not those thick porcelain mugs we have come to associate with coffees and teas (and the mixture of the two) . Milk Tea ($10) is steamy hot when served, the tea seems to taste stronger than any of the milk teas I've had elsewhere, but the blend leaves a slightly bitter aftertaste. Well, at least it's better than leaving a sour note on the palate! The texture is rather smooth as well. 奶水蛋 ($11) is a daring move for me. I've not had this one for such a long time, but a raw egg cracked into a glass, filled with a layer of sweetened condensed milk and topped with water that's been vociferously boiled for a long time. The concoction, after the yolk is stirred into the milky liquid, is pleasantly addictive, with such simple but clean distinguished taste of milk and egg, all in one drink.
Wheat Toast with Butter and Condensed Milk (奶油麥多, $6 ) is one of staples here. The sweet textured bread toasted and topped with condensed milk is simple and easily homemade, but you will also realize that the joy of eating it here instead of at home is the assurance of others eating something similar around you, offering you some sort of "good taste for ordering this" reassurance...Toasted sandwich of corned beef and eggs (烘底蛋牛治, $10) is equally rich, with both sides of the bread toasted and the filling of scrambled eggs with corned beef was soft and light, piled up in the middle as filling. Each bite allows the filling to ooze out. Be sure to have napkins within an arm's reach.
Noodles are popular among diners as well. Luncheon Meat and Egg Noodles (餐肉蛋麵, $14) features a fried egg with crispy edges, and a thick half-moon shaped luncheon meat, together with noodles. The topping is rather generous and you can be sure that the egg will be cooked to your liking. If you like sunny-side-up, it'll be what you ordered.If it's not, don't hesitate to let the staff know, the corrected order will be on first priority and be on your table before you know it. Noodles with Porkchop (豬扒麵, $14) is not just noodles with a plain porkchop. Instead you're going to get chunked up pan-fried porkchop topped with a delicious homemade sauce (with plenty of black pepper ground into it). The pork chop is tender and seasoned well throughout.
Food served here may be simple and easy to replicate at home, possibly with more twists and variations than the ones served here, but don't you just wish that sometimes, you just want to be here and grab a quick bite, despite how easy it is to turn on the toaster, or boil water and throw in an instant noodles while you open a can of luncheon meat and fry and egg? You'll realize that simple food we grow up on is not something easily replaced by the presence of "luxury items" such as foreign imports. We have cultivated sentimental values into all these foods, and they will come to our rescue when we need something to chow down just to make ourselves feel good, or make us feel that the world/ the city is a better place to live. Comfort, is important, and 豪華 has done it for me with its classics, and I hope it may do it for you too.
Besides the well known local cafe nearby, here's the other gem for nice hong kong styled milk tea.
To kick off the day, we spot this for a nice breakfast and yet found no set was available, good still coz a set always offers a too-big portion for one. Ordered a toast with minced beef and fried egg , noodle with pork chop and two milk tea, one wif less milk for me.
The toast was pretty nice, fried egg with cripsy edge, together with a generous portion and miced beef, though it's not a special still it's satisfying.
The noodle was no special and yet credits go to the pork chop, thinly sliced, tender and juicy, well marinated with satay sauce and black pepper, quite a divine.
The milk was real nice too, with strong aroma of tea, tried my bf's one (the regular), the aroma of tea wasn't masked by the milk still.
An authentic local-styled cafe, service alright, kinda hard to locate though

7 時半的灣仔人還不少, 店內也有半滿了。
(但我走的時候已有人坐行人路上的枱! 真誇張!)
見在座不少人都點了多士, 我也要了算是店自慢的奶醬麥多($6), 還有每早必備的咖啡 ($10), 少奶。
原來麥多是有提子的甜多士, 厚身, 不很鬆軟, 不過邊位夠脆; 加了香滑的花生醬和煉奶, 是香甜美味的早餐。咖啡超級熱辣辣 (那玻璃杯還真燙手), 是茶記熟悉的少少帶酸的口味。
放低 $16, 抵吃。

這店沒有常餐、下午茶餐的套餐選擇,凍飲($11)、熱飲($10)、包類($6)、三文治雙拚($11)烘底轉麥包一律不另收費,價錢十分公道。
今天柯打了兩杯凍奶茶、占央包、蛋牛治,作為下午茶。
麵包軟綿綿非常新鮮,配以久違了的咖央和梅子果醬,立刻回到以前茶檔的感覺;蛋牛治做得不錯,雞蛋不會煎得過火,咸牛與蛋的份量也相當恰當,這頓下午茶既美味又能尋回昔日茶檔的風味,價錢合理,顧客大眾化,很有正宗港式風味,一絕。

午餐肉五香肉丁出前一丁是一貫的味精湯
蛋牛奄列沒有新香園的那麼厚
蛋牛奄列用上了罐頭鹹牛肉與蛋同煎
這個奶油多其實真的可叫作奶油「少」
熱奶茶一點茶香也沒有
言猶在耳,說要吃得健康點,所以去了吃素,怎知話口未完,過了只是大概三小時的時間,就到了豪華吃一個下午茶。
此處不像新式茶記般供應下午茶餐,只有散叫,我們最後也真的非常大吃,單點了奶油多、蛋牛治烘底及午餐肉五香肉丁出前一丁,另外喝的點了紅豆冰及熱奶茶,其實本來也想試試滾水蛋的,可是見食評中對紅豆冰的評價挺高,而熱奶茶也是每到茶記也必飲的,所以最後也放棄了。
先來的是午餐肉五香肉丁出前一丁,丁麵其實是要加三元的,但丁麵又確實是比大光麵好吃得多,所以也點了,湯是味精湯是正常不過的了,帶了點五香肉丁的辣油喝起來也很惹味,但當然不能喝多,只是伴着麵條喝了兩口罷了,麵條煮得彈身不太腍,不錯,午餐肉是煎過才放湯的,吃起來有午餐肉的肉香,而外層脆內層腍,五香肉丁也是靚貨,全都只帶有丁點脂肪,瘦肉佔了大部分,可知道不是每個廠來的肉丁也是這樣的,有些廠來的肉丁,全都是脂膏來的,真可怕。
店員端蛋牛治過來之前,還幻想其蛋牛奄列是有新香園的那麼厚,怎知一來的時候是普通版,薄薄的多士,薄薄的蛋牛奄列,咬下一口,多士也真的是烘得非常香脆,在內有點牛油香,而在內的蛋牛奄列用上了罐頭鹹牛肉與蛋同煎,又是跟新香園的一大分別,吃起來沒有了鮮牛的嫩及肉香,但換來的是惹味的鹹牛味,而蛋是煎得剛熟,中間的位置還有一點液態的蛋汁,所以此處的蛋牛治,可以用「先天不足,後天搭夠」來形容,好吃但不驚喜。
最後有甜甜的奶油多作結,也是一塊很薄的多士,但同樣的烘得很脆,也有麵包香,但從圖看也可知,這個奶油多其實真的可叫作奶油「少」,所以煉奶及牛油的味道嚴重不足,普普通通而已。
之後也喝紅豆冰,紅豆冰用上的竟不是碎冰,這已經是一大致命傷了,而花奶香又不夠濃,這個冰僅有的是紅豆了,紅豆的豆殼剛爆,軟腍粉粉的而有紅豆香,但總括來說,我不能給它合格。
最後也喝了口熱奶茶,也如常的飛沙來喝,喝起來的茶味不算太濃,但也是很明顯是絲襪奶茶而不是茶包貨,味可以說是合格,但茶香就弱了一點,天時暑熱喝熱奶茶,也焦非就是為了茶香而已,但今天這杯熱奶茶,辦不到應有的事,最後的奶香也不是太強,所以喝起來不太滑身。
下午茶大吃一輪後,所有前功盡廢,真的只怪自己太貪吃吧。

沙爹牛肉的每一塊牛肉都是肉!好多茶餐廳的沙爹牛肉都是肥膏或筋
沙爹也好有味!

首訪約是2個月前,輕輕試了
昨天再做婚檢前,縱然又遠又熱我也建議重來,並得到龍的大力支持。於炎夏再一次重溫極端美味冰爽的
沒關係,這間美味又經濟的小店已成為二人灣仔朝聖站,將來肯定還會再三,再四,甚至五六七次的重溫又重溫,回味又回味!

蛋牛出前一丁
先嚟一杯凍奶茶, 杯底的茶一看就知夠濃, 花奶倒在上面, 漫漫像雲層咁一一落下, 喝一口, 人也精神起來!
我亦唔執輸, 叫咗蛋牛治烘底, 多士烘得有咬口, 蛋牛夠味唔老!
最終亦達到我來這裏早餐的原因: 平, 靚, 正, 快!

TV適合,睇電視途中已經知道天文台轉了3號強風訊號...當我們睇完轉去銅鑼灣方向途經豪
華便入內食番個下午茶...我地3人叫左沙嗲牛肉麵、油占多、蛋牛治和凍奶茶。
沙嗲牛肉麵 - 先講麵..麵用福麵,姐夫不是太喜歡。而牛肉方面食落太淋,相信用了太多鬆肉粉
的原故..另外,見周圍有3..4個人都是食豬扒麵,應該較沙嗲牛麵好食吧..
油占多 - 家姐覺得包質鬆軟,而且還暖暖的..至於果沾味道冇咩特別,整體味道ok....
蛋牛治 - 用免治牛肉加蛋製成既蛋牛洽,牛肉份量唔多..所以帶唔出什麼牛肉味,而蛋味亦唔太濃,一般...聽家姐講叫剩蛋治相信會好d...
凍奶茶 - 飲落ok..我們3人都覺得調製得唔錯...
最後,我們3人結完帳,冒著大雨..繼續我地既格價之旅...

先來個奶油多,並不是厚多,但仍做到香脆效果,同時吃得出麵包是很鬆軟的。脆卜卜的多士,配合甜甜的煉奶吃,簡單亦美味。
吃一件油多似乎不夠喉,再叫阿哥整多碗餐蛋麵,丁麵要加$3。不加錢了,福麵就算。麵淥得爽口,兩片餐肉鬆軟好味,蛋邊煎得香脆,蛋白滑溜,篤穿蛋黃撈麵更是十分滋味。
熱奶茶是用玻璃杯上,也不管了。先喝一口,茶味不太重,但仍然幼滑,飲落順喉,是不錯的。
大致滿意的一餐,將繼續向自己的目標進發!

便在附近找間食店抖一抖,醫吓肚.最終,我們選了豪華咖啡餐廳做落腳站。
這間食店,我們曾經幫襯過好多次.記憶中熱奶茶唔係咁夠奶,茶帶苦澀.因此,我們叫了蛋
治,奶油多,紅豆冰及凍檸茶...
先遘蛋治,蛋半生熟,而麵包又夠軟身,故老公很喜歡食
紅豆冰呢,則老公也最為喜歡.因為,紅豆夠淋夠甜,奶味濃郁,十分之好味
十分之好..因為有茶味,兼且夠甜

第一次貪新鮮, 第二次是紅豆冰驅使的再次去尋找她的
可惜今回的紅豆冰遜色了一點, 不夠凍, 不夠甜, 紅豆不夠香了~ 唔?
立時想起百利的陳皮紅豆冰了~
回鍋肉豬扒麵ok, 麵不是馬虎的出品
大少的熱奶茶依舊保持水準 - 香‧滑‧濃 ! 無得彈!
無可否認, 當天所看老顧客多, 但似我們年少一輩也不乏. 的確是躲懶的好地方.

晚飯之前與兩位朋友來坐一坐,這一類舊式冰室,不再只是那些亞叔才會去,外面摺檯的顧客,很多也是年輕人.說起上來,我已歸在uncle級別了.
小弟去這類地方,很多時也要試一試奶茶.豪華的熱奶茶,是用玻璃杯上.之前也說過,用玻璃杯的風味,不及用咖啡杯.在舊式地方喝奶茶,始終偏好"手執杯耳".
厚多士要油多,簡簡單單,多士香脆,油就不夠油,味道不香.同吃白麵包的感覺分別不大.
看見鄰檯的女生,拿著手上的滾水蛋,篤穿之後搞勻便喝,想起也很久未嘗過此一味.下次去冰室索性避戰奶茶,拿著蛋搞下,不知幾過癮.

-入口暖熱,外表唔喺脆,只喺包邊皮位有些少,但麵包就好鬆軟

豪在骨子裏
店內沒有豪華裝潢,只有幾張大圓枱.沒有優質服務,沒人帶位,有位就坐.沒有豪華食材,餐牌只有4行:頭2行是冷,熱飲品.第3行是包類,第4行是麵類和小食.食物簡單,但用料都不隨便.
最後當然少不了一杯茶走作為終結.要求了少甜因為每樣食物都充斥著鍊奶,我不想再變肥妹.少了甜味的奶茶當然有點苦,但茶本身很香濃,也很滑,是杯很不錯的奶茶.
這店歷史悠久,幫襯的都是上了年紀的人士,相信他們都是每日來嘆茶的熟客.雖說食物都是普通的茶記食物,但其大方的表現不常見,加上老店有信心保證,何不來懷舊一番.
