Last week, my friend introduce me to go to D Corner for dinner. I went there with my husband and one of my friend for dinner (first time). WOW....the food are excellent!! We all really love it. First, we have Seafood Platter (very fresh!!!), then the lobster & urchin mousse (very creative and good), then we ate the goose liver (which I think is a "must eat" dish). For the main course, we tried rib eyes, lamb rack & pork chop. They are all so tender and delicious. I definitely will go there again!! Their dishes are so incredible!!!!
朋友生日, 我地30人包左D Corner啲場作生日party. 地方都幾大,裝修ok啦! Free corkage, $368/4 course or $398/5 course meal+service charge, 我地包場therefore she offers 10% off for us.
有自助蠔吧! @$28...我選了海水味較重的US Coffin...抵!
Starter 可選擇鵝肝 or 泰式青木瓜蝦沙律 or Dusk Breast 帶子沙律. 我選了鵝肝, 可惜外面煎得唔夠香脆, 普普通通la!
Soup: Wild Mushroom soup or Pumpkin soup, I picked Wild Mushroom soup, 唔錯, 夠香又夠濃, 而且仲有粒粒磨姑碎添! Good!
Main coure: Lamp chop or Seabrass or Steak or 黑豚肉 我上次係Bonheur試遏黑豚肉, 這次我選了黑豚肉作比較....可惜失望! 肉質唔夠鬆, 外層煎得唔夠香脆, 有些似食緊一塊無骨的豬肉! 男朋友選了羊排, ok la! 羊排除左唔新鮮或煎得太熟之外, 好難煮得唔好食! 所以我只說D Corner啲羊排ok!

we both had a five course set
Starter
i had a Thai salad with scalop and shrimp and the green papaya slice
a very freshening starter the taste was a little hot and sour a wonderful starting dish of the night the best part is that the dish is bloody cold where most resturant forget about like no one likes a HOT salad
i also had a foie gras the foie gras wasn't very "so"(dont know it in english) the peach on side dish was a perfect balance for the oily foie gras
Soup
I had the wild mushroom soup it was creamy but not oily at all and there's many cutted up wild mushroom inside which was the first time i'd tried I highly recommand it
my friend had the lemon pumkin soup where made of 100% pumpkin the lemon was on side dish a refreshing delight
Main course
I had a chargrilled sea bass it was the best of the night although there was a little bit of bitter taste but it was so "silky" that i grade it as the best of the night
my friend had lamb rack not much of a surprise on the taste but the rack was a big one,,,both big one
the we had dessert
we both had a chocolate cake with melted chocolate inside i didn't mind gaining a few pounds(like not a few)and finished it all
after these all and it was just 398 without sevice charge
Conclusion
the amount of food was equal to it's price and all of them was done very well the enviroment was quite nice and quite 398 for this special night was not pricy at all and especially in LKF
Saw this restaurant while dining at Good Luck Thai some time ago and decided to give it a try. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and is a comfortable alternative to Central's lunch crowd.
All 5 of us started with the the abalone Caesar Salad which was light yet delicious. The colleagues who had the fish chowder commented that the chowder was creamy and they like the sizable chunks of fish which were tender and tasty. The minestrone I had was pretty good too.
For the main course, we ordered the salmon fillet and the sirloin. The Salmon has good reviews but all 3 servings of the sirloin were not satisfactory. We requested for the steaks to be cooked medium rare, medium and well done. Unfortunately, all 3 servings of the sirloin steak had parts which were medium and parts that were well done
Fortunately, the ice coffee we had at the end of the meal was aromatic and palatable. Given the small incident with the steak, the $148 (plus 10% service charge) charged for the lunch set was a little pricey.
Very nice overall. Set lunch is around $130 after 10% discount, and they don't currently have service charge.
On the day I went, appetizer was Japanese abolone with caesar salad. Soup was minestrone. Had duck for main course. Then tea/coffee. No dessert i'm afraid but doesn't really matter.

相較普通嘅蜆肉意粉
簡約但舒適嘅裝潢
入到去,環境真係唔錯,簡簡單單而且又靜靜哋,同樓下蘭桂芳一帶相差甚遠,而且感覺啲staff嘅服務態度都唔差,所以一個字 --> 好!
嘢食方面,我哋選擇咗個海鮮餐,包括:
忌廉湯
麪包
Seafood Platter (翡翠螺、三文魚刺身、生蠔、牡丹蝦刺身、蝦)
沙律
主菜:Seabass Risotto
因為做promotion,所以可以任飲紅、白酒或者sparkling wine
我哋仲額外加咗個心太軟
麪包唔多講,沙律嘅菜好fresh,湯亦好穩陣。
至於個seafood platter,真係好出色。雖然個seafood platter一出現時,望落啲三文魚唔係腩位,但係估唔到一放入口都有溶嘅感覺,而且都幾肥美,真係睇佢唔出,而且仲要係厚切,食完印象難忘。蝦同牡丹蝦兩者都好吸引,因為食得出好新鮮,有甜味,而且唔削,靚到暈。由於食材本身優秀,所以啲翡翠螺都一定唔執輸,除咗肥大肉厚之外,食完仲會令你感覺好滿足。講真,一路食個seafood platter,一路覺得好幸福,因為感覺到好有誠意。
到嚟主菜時,因為怕risotto凍咗會唔好食,所以先食risotto。Seabass整到外面少少脆,醃得剛剛好,又唔會蓋過鱸魚本身嘅魚味,再配埋risotto,簡直一流。而且用嚟搭配risotto嘅汁味道好特別,所以食完呢個已經覺得100分。
之後到食蜆肉意粉,由於risotto做得太好,比較之下,意粉較為遜色。如果係食蜆肉意粉先的話,應該會覺得佢好味啲。皆因宜家食落就好似喺其他西餐廳食到嘅一樣,唔會話太深刻,但係材料都係靚嘢嚟嘅。
我哋另外加HK$28要多個心太軟。心太軟做得幾好,又唔話太甜,入面啲朱古力又可以流出嚟,好好。
是晚可以任飲紅酒、白酒或者係sparkling wine (當然係指定咗架啦!)。白酒同埋sparkling wine都好好,而且可以任你飲,真係抵到爛。
雖然宜家可能無咗呢個promotion,但係憑住個餐可以知道餐廳絕對唔求其,所以好有信心佢其他食物都會唔錯。
P.S. 餐廳成晚都係得幾枱客,而且播住啲jazz,感覺好舒服。所以如果想約朋友去中環搵個靜靜地嘅地方,而且啲食物又食得吓嘅,呢度係一個唔錯嘅選擇。

煙三文魚沙律:三文魚好咸,同埋最討厭唔夠dressing的生菜「沙律」。
鮑片Caeser salad:無人揀,只for大家ref。
香煎鵝肝配桃沙律(+$58):正!鵝肝煎得甘香,o岩o岩熟,好香脆。自cova後,另一地方可媲美。
忌廉海鮮湯:好多料,起碼我見有半隻鮮蝦;湯味似周打魚湯,ok!
燒鴨胸配偏意粉牛肝菌汁:好多鴨胸片,偏意粉份量唔細,所以好膩,揀左既同事,都食唔晒。鴨胸大約8成熟,燒過無羶味。
烚鮮蝦龍脷露筍卷配龍蝦汁:嘩!龍脷柳剛剛熟,濕潤有光澤,驟眼望去,好似壽司反卷~可惜味道被龍蝦汁、卷內的蝦蓉染得咸咸的
的骰黑森林、Tiramisu:只係普通麵包店水準,無酒味、魚膠粉mousse+蛋糕
芒果芝士:無人揀,只for大家ref。
軟心朱古力配雪糕(+$28):成件小朱古力muffin/cup cake咁,估唔到又好幾好食喎
熱咖啡:擺到前來已香到不得了!嘩嘩嘩!加埋奶,中和咖啡苦澀,那種咖啡果仁香,留在口腔度,實在回味無窮!
總括大家食後感,也是味道只屬一般。不過有齊咁多個course,加環境,都可以一吃既!

話說在2006年在舊舖包場開生日派對, 仲安排食大閘蟹餐,大家都非常滿意!
今年突然想起不如相約三五知己再吃一頓大閘蟹餐, 結果大廚「武哥」特別為我們精心安排大閘蟹菜單 (四道菜式), 每人兩隻足五兩大閘蟹作頭盤連薑茶、中式湯(碗仔翅)、主菜: (去骨) 海南雞飯加香茅燒大蝦一隻、甜品。收費只是每位HK$398再加一服務費! 仲有 Free Corkage, 非常超值!
有朋友就唔想食海南雞飯怕太飽, 主菜就改吃素菜雲吞, 沒有另外收費仲有八大隻添!
不過食兩隻蟹到主菜後實在太飽已沒法吃下甜品了, 但都一定要飲佢的香濃熱咖啡! 消滯一流呀!

看個list有好多選擇... tiramisu, blueberry cheese cake, 朱古力心太軟, creme brulee...我的朱古力心太軟實在太甜了, 雖然入面的朱古力溶有很多, 但朱古力蛋糕唔夠鬆. 我明白唔可以同Grisinni啲朱古力心太軟比較, 但quality及味道就跟13蚊的sogo bread papa差不多! 我試了少少無cheese味的blueberry cheese cake, 唔掂! 朋友話個Tiramisu係creamramisu嚟架, 只有cream味無cheese味! 致於creme brulee, 有人讚話幾好味喎! 係我試過啲西式私房菜甜品之中, 這裡是最差的一間!
見佢甜品做得咁差, 主菜又無セ驚喜, 而服務亦都麻麻, 本來想比個喊臉佢, 但見30人就可包場玩, 四佰零蚊有得食又可帶酒, in term of $就非常之抵! 比個ok佢啦!

D corner

有水準的中價午餐
這裡舖面不大,成L型,數埋都只是十來廿個位。佈置簡潔,以白色為主,玻璃窗透進陽光,播的是舊英文歌,感覺幾舒服。侍應有禮貌的講解餐牌上的選擇,有前菜有湯有主菜,全都是二揀一,其實不用解說也不難決定,二人來就最好全部叫勻。
先來兩個熱辣辣的小麵包,是墨汁包及甘筍包,新鮮鬆軟,不過問過,非「當店」製的,但都很不錯;前菜是芒果牛油果沙律及泰式炸蝦餅,鮮甜的芒果,口感厚腴的牛油果,加上沙律菜及酸酸的油醋汁,是一個幾清新的沙律前菜。泰式炸蝦餅是自家製的,打得起膠,口感不錯,亦有蝦的鮮甜味道,點上雞醬,也好味。不過如果只選一款,個人會選擇前者;
主菜是燒羊架及海鮮串燒,菜色砌在兩隻大圓碟奉客,賣相很不錯。燒羊架兩支,燒得外皮微脆,內裡僅熟,廚師火侯到家。只用鹽及簡單的香草略醃,肉質鮮嫩,臊味不重,有水準;海鮮串燒有蝦、魷魚、青口、魚塊,以青椒及菠蘿分隔,略煎香,配上辣茄醬,味道也很好。配菜有烤新薯及焗芝士蘑菇翠玉瓜,雖然主菜份量略少,但加上配菜,都夠飽的。
餐後的熱咖啡,亦香濃。這餐飯,可以說是從頭到尾都幾滿意。
雖然得一位便服的侍者,但招呼好,態度友善,亦有問我們對食物的意見,相當好。
埋單每位一百四十八,不收加一,但有九折。以中環午餐計,不是便宜,但計及環境服務及食物水準,也算是值得一試的。

約朋友吃午餐的好去處
Set Lunch有三道菜+茶或咖啡;每道菜都有兩個選擇.今天我選了:
-泰式柚子青木瓜鮮蝦沙律
-雜菜湯
-迷迭香汁煎伴春雞(game hen)
先來熱辣辣的餐前麵包沙律酸酸甜甜,非常開胃.蝦雖然不是很大隻但新鮮甜美,是一個很好的頭盤.
湯和主菜都很新鮮,份量十足,味道很不錯.但因為我吃得比較淡,所以兩樣我都覺得稍微鹹了一點.伴菜比較少,如果多一點就好了(有potato wedges 兩條,蜜糖豆兩三條和西蘭花等).
若是與不常見的朋友來偶爾吃一頓,這是不錯的選擇.但如果經常來的話,我就會覺得這個價錢有點不划算啦.

好味..特別..
我去過3次呢間餐廳,每次d野食都唔同,食物o既種類.賣相同味道都俾其他o既餐廳好食同特別,服務態度認真.其餐廳格調簡潔而清優,清幽,感覺另人好relax,大家可以不妨一試!!

On the day I went, appetizer was Japanese abolone with caesar salad. Soup was minestrone. Had duck for main course. Then tea/coffee. No dessert i'm afraid but doesn't really matter.
Nice decor and quiet.
