晚上九點幾先食晚飯 ... 來到都仲有幾枱客人 ...

坐下店員細心為我們講解今晚廚師推介菜式 ... 我們點了蟹肉蝦沙律, Wood-stone rib eye, 紅酒一支.

麵包籃都算多款式, 味道不錯. 蟹肉蝦沙律好大份, 蟹肉同蝦都幾大舊, 幾足料. 牛扒很香, 好 juicy.

店員很有禮貌, 服務很好. 餐廳環境氣氛浪漫, 適合情侶把酒談心.

今晚同朋友共2人係呢道食晚飯, 叫左:

starter : Scrambled Italian Eggs and Grilled Scallop x2, 蛋幾滑, 帶子嫌過火少少, 但最失望係白松露係一早已經加上去, 並不是係你面前刨, 所以香味亦都欠奉 , 另一個starter係pizza, 有rocket, cheese and ham, 呢個就幾好, 唔錯

main course : 係chef推介既美國A5和牛, 味道一般, 冇牛味, 和牛表面好似燒燶左咁, 帶少少苦味

dessert: Tiramisu, Mascarpone Cheese Tart, Fig Ice Cream and Expresso Sauce x 2, tiramisu同cheese tart都唔錯, 但係個無花果雪糕就好甜, 食兩啖就唔食喇

仲有2杯飲品加一支水, 埋單$2,239

個人認為食物好一般, 名過於實

For the long weekend, we want to have dinner with a good view; therefore, on an ad hoc basis we went to Harlan. View obviously is good and the best part is white truffle was on the menu!

I took the pasta with sausage and 2 grams of truffle as a starter, although I was a bit skeptical given the sausage might be a bit too strong to go with the delicate truffle but the waitress suggested that I should stick with the truffle menu so I took her advice.

The dish arrived with the truffle inside already !

This is the first time I have been served truffle this way , and I can’t smell the truffle at all! Luckily, I order an extra 1-gram of truffle that was served right in front of me, and the captain made a mistake by serving me 2-grams extra but it was a happy misunderstanding, otherwise I won’t be able to smell the truffle at all.

My friend took a fish with truffle (of course truffle is already in the dish), it was so so, and my main was the wild sea bass that was cooked perfectly, and its taste was up to standard.

BTW, some regulars arrived, and they took their truffle with pasta only and with a very hot plate, and of course, the truffle was served right in front of them , which are the way to do it, I thought Harlan did not know!

Good selection for wine by glass and we took two from France, which were both very nice.

A pasta corner will wait for you at the entrance. There are good choices of fresh-made pasta with your own creation of ingredients and sauces like carbonara, bolognese, etc. If you want to start with a soup, they will also cook (bowl by bowl) a seafood soup for you. I recommend to try the soup. It’s good. At the same table, you can order your own egg breakfast – omelet, scramble – the way you like it.
When you move in further, the seafood bar is there for you, with free flow of oyster, shrimp, salmon, mussel and more. Oyster is very fresh and worth trying ; though the queue can be a bit long as the waiter has to open each oyster as you order.
As you get into the heart of the restaurant, you will find the antipasti bench. There you can find salad, ham (parma and other), pate, and cold dishes. Nothing extra-ordinary but all are of good quality.
The brunch comes with a main course : chicken, half lobster, steak (with an extra charge) or fish.
Yes, there are of course desserts (but not as much choices as H One). AND there is a cotton candy machine and a chocolate fountain for kids !

While there are not a lot of varieties comparing to the 5-star hotel buffet, the food are of high quality and well chosen. Harlan’s Sunday Brunch is a good choice for family or friends.

頂層有4款甜點
- mini 栗子蛋糕 x 2 ---> 一般
- marcoon x 2 ---> 一般, 太甜
- 朱古力士多啤梨 x 2 ---> 好好味
- 芝士扭紋條 x 4 ---> 好味

之後再追加一個parma ham pizza, 即叫即焗, 意式薄餅底好脆, 餡料有parma ham, 雞肉, 羅勒葉, 蕃茄醬, 個人口味喜歡芝士味再濃d, 不過食落唔會太膩, 都算幾好味!

整體而言, 以$268的價錢, 環境好relax, 食物份量及質素都非常滿足, 如果唔大食, 3個女仔share都ok!

however....we're quite disappointed becos the main dishes were not tht gd at all!!!

21-Jul, 與友人到 Harlan's 一嘗優悠的 High Tea! 早上 book 檯時 request 了 Window Seat, 其實閒日人不多, 可以不用 reserve~

Order 了 High Tea Tower (for two)!
第一層:::
- smoked salmon 三文治, 正!
- toast 上那兩片厚厚的 cheese, 正!
b]第二層:::
- 本小姐最喜歡吃 dark chocolate, 所以非常欣賞 chocolate cake!!!
- 另外一件小小的cake裡, 充滿 chocolate 碎, 正!
b]第三層:::
- chestnut cake, 正! 旦糕超綿!
- chocolate strawberry, 本小姐只吃了 strawberry 下的 chocolate 短底, 因為也是苦的, 正!

一定會再去!!

First time visit to this restaurant for a farewell lunch of a dept colleague.

We were arranged in two long tables for altogether 15 ppl, with myself facing the sea view outside, nice weather!

Waiters, esp Terry, are friendly and professional.

Have chosen salad buffet bar , salmon, cheese and ham are good yet fruit choices are less than expected.

Have chosen the roast of the day i.e. steak , Terry suggest medium well-done is better than enough so I took his suggestion which proved to be a good one!

Have a bite on colleagues’ chicken as well, pretty impressed so will definitely give it a trial in my next visit.

Desserts and coffee was nice but not that impressive.

Went to Harlan's with other 2 friends on tuesday afternoon at this self claimed 'Fine Dining Experience" Restaurant at IFC

Booked a table at 1500 and we were about 5 min earlier and was greeted by a lovely lady who was on a phone. Neither hung up the phone nor asked us to wait, she signal us to give her the reservation details, and after some talking on the phone and some typing on the laptop , she signal us again while hung up the phone and brought us to the dining room, I though I was in MongKok.....

While we were lead to our table near to the window we could see that they were busy clearing up stuff from the lunch hour rush. after we settled down there was another server came and set our table with cutlery and napkins and one menu was placed in the centre of the table.

By the time we were ready to order another male server came by however with a un welcome look on his face,a.k.a Black Face, don't know if he have had a really bad day, since by the time I asked for the choices of the tea which he didn't offer or introduce to once I placed my tea order, he had this expression on his face that I shouldn't have asked .....

By the time our drinks arrived , don't know if that's their practise or just for the convience of the server, my tea set was placed on my right hand side just on top of my side plate, and eventtually he tried to move the plate to my centre (which I had to assist) to make more space and mind you the table was not a small one. and water was not offered till we were nearly finished....please....I'm not at a fast food or causal street cafe..

Finally came the food we orderd a Tea Set Tower, a Pizza and an extra dessert..
The scones and the preserves and creme spread were great, as well as their verson of Macaroons which was not as extremely sweet as what I've tried somewhere else. the Pizza was done perfectly with all the pperonis and chesse sitting on a thinly, crusty dough. And the Valhorna chocolate lava cake with vanila ice-cream run rasins and chocolate soup if you are a chocolate lover, you will like the intense but nor overly rich taste...

With such a price and their claim of 'Fine Dining Experience' they are not totally live up with it, my expectation of Fine Dining Experience should consist of Very Good food and drinks both in Quality and quantity, the ambience of the dining room and the Service specially the Fine Dining Etiquette of their servers which was extremely lacking even though this time I just came for Tea and I was not expectating something like ....Tsui Wah?

中午套餐感覺蠻划算的
前菜的自助餐選擇不多
不過東西都很有質感
我們吃了好幾盤
主菜的牛排跟義大利麵也好吃
有機會再來中環搭機場快線
還會再來幫襯的

I had lunch at the Harlan's last Friday with my Hubby for a friend of mine recommended the starter buffet here.
Well, the buffet was okay, but not facsinating and the choices was limited....
As for the main course, the roast beef tenderloin was not tender at all though i've asked for medium rare.
As for the service, just like many of others have brought up, the service was so rush that they serve the main course anyway regardless that i've asked for a hold. Though it was understood that they charge$290+10% at locations like this...but I believe I could easily have better food and better service at better price at IFC.

記得平安夜有得早放, 友人提議先嘆個 high tea, 做下上等人和可以於節日裡 hea 下。 友人冇介紹錯, 環境一流, 面對著維多利亞港, 景觀與四x 酒店一樣。 最令人開心時於大時大節都有 high tea, 不會只做聖誕餐。
Menu 內價錢比酒店平, $268 for 2。 我們當然要試 High tea tower。 大部份甜品都喜愛, 尤其是迷你磨菇 pizza, 有少少汁不會太乾, pizza 夠脆, 值得推介。 甜點就覺得 raisin scone, 最不喜歡是 macaroon 和 tart。 忘記是什麼 tart, 但味道怪怪的, macaroon 太甜又硬。 其他甜品的水準都頗高。 兩人消滅整個 tower 後十分飽。
食物質素可與酒店媲美, 甚至好過某些酒店, 價錢卻較酒店便宜。 這裡是聊天的好地方, 人不是太多, 可惜當天有bb 喊, 較為嘈吵。

朋友同男朋友同一日生日, 同唔到佢正日慶祝, 所以提早一日慶祝,

早幾日book左3點, 當日黎到入面竟然一個客都無!!!個個係度set枱吸塵!!!
叫我地坐住bar枱先, 等左大概十分鐘, 佢set好枱就請我地過去
我地有幸坐最正果張大圓枱, 坐係半圓梳化望住無敵海景 (港外線碼頭景)

叫左High Tea Tower set for two ($268), 朋友飲Jasmine tea我飲caramel tea.
Caramel tea味道古怪…有d玉桂味又有d香水味, 一粒粒既係菊花wo,哈真奇怪

個tower等左好耐先黎到, 一黎就諗住趁熱食scone先, 不過只係得少少微溫
Scone有原味同提子乾, 2款都好乾,唔香牛油味, 質感似蛋糕,
個士多啤梨jam係完全無果肉無核既人造味道, cream就ok滑

芝士菇菇脆片係成個tower最好味既!! 好脆, 菇菇調味好香好好味=)
有一款finger sandwich係搽左牛油果醬, 再鋪2塊厚車打芝士同火煺, 都唔錯
另外兩款sandwich都係大路青瓜碎蛋同煙三文魚(有d腥), 味道一般, 包包有少少乾

第二層係scone+2款蛋糕, 蛋糕無論賣相定味道都好普通
朱古力蛋糕- 海棉蛋糕鬆軟, 黑朱古力味唔算濃
橙味芝士蛋糕- 好香橙味, 芝士味不濃郁, 質地帶濕, 但朋友鐘意呢個

頂層有4款甜點
士多啤梨朱古力- 下面仲有塊脆米朱古力, 幾好味, 士多啤梨唔酸
扭紋條- 味道似拿破倫, 好脆, 仲有d開心果碎, 唔錯
macaron- 個皮好厚但脆, 無杏仁味, 2塊厚皮夾住薄薄既士多啤梨jam:搽scone果d
栗子蛋糕- 好普通一舊海棉蛋糕+栗子蓉, 無特別

環境本來真係唔錯, 好cozy, 落地大玻璃, 成間餐廳好光猛好舒服,
可惜不斷有係我地面前吸塵...燙枱布...仲有人爬梯整個天花""
服務一般, 男比女好* 埋單連加一$295其實都ok既唔貴

(29/12/08)一年一度老闆請食飯─「除夕」。一直都想試,今次有機會喇。
戴黑crown眼鏡小肥身形的waiter拎住塊黑板介紹Tonight Special。一大倫英文,蚊滋聲講完,大家都唔會記得,只係記得一個形容為sticky既湯,湯都可以用sticky來形容?就要它!
一行七人,揀左好多唔同既野,大部份同事也吃牛,淨「牛」已N 咁多款。牛仔面、和牛、牛膝、Rib eye, etc.牛仔面成碟牛腩+深啡色腩湯汁咁!味濃,牛肉一條條絲絲的,是眾牛中最合我口胃。其餘的扒/牛柳,一D都唔鞋口,算係ok。
講番我自己既頭盤,Pan Fried Giant Scallops, Foies Spiced Pumpkin & Aged Baisamic Vinegar$260,帶子雖肉厚,卻鮮味一般；鵝肝算係入口即溶,卻煎得唔夠脆香。
Magic Mushroom Cappuccino $98,這杯湯熱辣辣的,菇味十足!杯邊的小餅,更是特出之作!!熱曖鬆散,入口即溶,唔知係咪被菇湯沖薰口味,感覺有強烈松露味!!!!
個碟sticky既湯,粉橙色,真係唔知咩材料,大約係芝士、煙肉卦?口感真係唔可以用creamy形容咁簡單,無錯!係好sticky咕喎,食汁咁,同事們加左side dish薯條,諗住"食"淨D湯用來點薯條,點知那小肥身形的waiter,在我地不為意下拿走了!?
一齊食既seafood mountain,有細螺、帶子煙三文魚花、蠔六隻、蜆、龍蝦、大蝦,都幾好食,有海水味,一班人食都幾開心。
我既主菜Wild Ocean Sea Bass, Scampi Wontons, Caviar & Champagne Foam $380 + Side dish: Mashed Potato $42<--超級好食的松露薯蓉!而那魚,好似蒸咁,一D香口都無,仲腥腥地添!
甜品:Chestnut Tiramisu, Caramelized Nut Tart & Graffeo Expresso Ice Cream $110, Tiramisu加左栗子,溜/滯口好多,其實麻麻地,無酒味亦較實o地。為左唔好o徒,點都食埋佢,反而件熱熱的合桃撻才出色!脆又香。Expresso Ice Cream,可能有另一甜品,Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream & Sesame Seed & Sticks $110中的mint choco ice-cream有比較,咖啡的較迅色,薄荷的好似牙膏啊!o係咁飽既時間,fresh/唔溜既咩都好食,心太軟又好好食呀!!!! 仲有sortbet又fresh又fruity。
整體大家都覺得這裡食物麻麻,COVA or 洲際Spoon好食好多。

走到IFC的Harlan’s吃下午茶，二人high-tea也只是故＄２６８，較先前Island Gourmet便宜得多。叫了二人ｓet三人享用, Harlan’s high-tea 同樣是做得小巧但吃出心思來, 單以不同的finger sandwich, 無論買相味道都令你摸不着是什麼來的只知好吃便是了。我是較喜歡大大的士干，欠的只是Santa Lucia自家果醬的酸甜開胃味道。Carrot cake 是不錯, 果肉合桃紅蘿蔔絲是滿有口感和杏仁蛋糕非常配合。還有栗子卷蛋，沒有一般的甜膩吃到的卻是滑溜滿有栗子香味的滲入口裹。

縰然大家都為這個佰頁消滌環景而困擾，此刻嘆着下午茶和喜歡的人說說吃吃，美味食物可真的令人舒解愁困!？
