Went to this restaurant on a monday night, quite quiet as most of the other restaurants. The environment is a little bit less romantic than what I expected, quite bright in the restaurant. But deco was simple and nice and the couches were quite comfy. they also had a patio in the back =) Service was not bad, very poilte and well mannered, even let us try a couple of wines b4 picking our glass. we ordered the Set menu since it was much more pricey to order them seperately. we had 4 people so basicaly we got to try most of the stuff on their menu: (i forgot the name but its somth like this) Appetizer: Goat Cheese Mixed Green Salad - avg, but goat cheese went quite well with salad Pan Fried Foie Gras - very yummy =) personally realli like foie gras and they made it just right Oysters in Garlic and Cream - very yummy also, the sauce was really with the oysters Main: Roasted Chicken - just took one small bite but taste was not bad Sirloin Steak - asked for med rare, came a bit closer to medium but still not bad, pepper sauce and it had scalloped potatoes at the bottom, yummm Lamb Rump - my dish, was really good, cooked just right, tender and juicy. Dessert Floating Island - it was alrite, personaly not a fan of egg white desserts. Almond Apple Pie - quite sweet, but went well with ice-cream Chocolate Pudding cake (心太軟) - really good, not too sweet and worked well with ice cream too. quite a nice experience with sister and friends and would definately go bk again 推介美食: Lamp Rump, Sirloin Steak, Chocolate Pudding cake (心太軟)

Lilou (非會員) | 2010-07-02I had dinner in La Terrasse with friends to get together before summer holidays. La Terrasse serves delicious French food in a pretty nice environment. Restaurant's deco is warm and pleasant. It makes me remember cosy restaurants in quiet districts of Paris (not tourists attraction areas...). I miss them soooo much!!! Concerning the service, our waiter was really attentive but not too much, it makes me uncomfortable constantly have someone who comes to you to ask if "every thing's ok..?". Regarding food ordered : starter : tartare of tuna. Really good and fresh with fine herbs and not too much french dressing. I love raw food, and this starter was perfectly dressed, ideal when the weather is really hot. main dish : Duck breast with potatoes and a piece of pan-fired foie gras . As often the dish looked smaller than expected, but at the end of it, I was already full. I love duck breast, really French dish. It was perfectly done, not too much cooked but not rare . The sauce was exquisite with the garnish potatoes. Dessert : Floating island. Appropriate to end a dinner when you are stuffed. Of course we ordered wine, red and white for dessert. To conclude, I really appreciate to have dinner there, and the price worth the great food. 2010-02-14走了很遠的路才來到這裏。 店內環境不錯,坐在鋼琴旁,看著富有Paul Smith色彩、波浪型花紋的牆,挺舒服的。 比較少吃法國菜,這間店會讓我有興趣再試多一點。 跟友人點了兩個set lunch。 沒有湯卻有麵包送,看到硬法包硬得可以擲死人的樣子,以為很難入口。卻出奇地好吃,帶有陣陣芝士的芳香。硬的也只是外表,內裏軟得很。 頭盤﹕ 1. French Snails 在餐牌一見到這個,已經很想試試。如樓下網友所言,上菜時滾燙的香草牛油garlic汁在每一隻蝸牛殼中打轉,差點誤以為蝸牛尚在生…蝸牛本身沒有甚麼味道可言,口感跟田螺相若。本身很愛garlic味道,也覺得garlic跟任何貝殼類食物也很匹配,所以這道菜也讓我蠻滿足的,恨不得用舌頭把所有醬汁送進嘴中細嚐。 2. Venison Terrine 是攪碎的肉,有點像午餐肉的賣相。本身對凍肉沒有太多fantasy,吃後也沒有甚麼感覺。原來Venison是解作鹿肉,首次嘗試,有趣有趣。 主菜﹕ 1. Premium Sirloin Steak 對嗜牛如命的我們來說,見到Steak基本上都想馬上衝過去… 再見到Premium字眼,更加不作他選。果然沒令我們失望!濃烈的牛扒獨有味道,在這道菜中表露無遺。剛好的質感,不過靱也不過鬆,就是Just right的感覺。Medium rare,卻略嫌熟了點。下次該點偏rare才對,畢竟吃牛扒還是要見到一點血才對味。上面的香草牛油跟牛扒也是不錯的配搭。配菜薯仔,下了一點香草煎過,很香口,但略少。 2. 法國來的魚柳 是Waitor的推薦,也忘了甚麼魚名了。味道蠻清新,配上深棕色鹹鹹的香草,加上檸檬汁,令吃了牛扒的我們不致於太膩。 甜品﹕ 由於Lunch time時間所限,及對desert of the day的cheese cake沒有太大的興趣,故只點了芝士拼盤。對芝士沒有甚麼認識,只是覺得還是羊奶芝士比較易入口,其他兩種是硬芝士和軟芝士。硬芝士實在是硬,很難送麵包吃。軟芝士上有一點點綠色,無論是賣相以致味道都有點發霉的感覺。哈,愛芝士的人可能會喜歡吧。 飯後一段時間,口中的芝士味和garlic味縈繞不去… 相當美味的一頓,感謝友人info search和請客,特別的好吃!

2009-09-26sep 25, 09,2人來lunch,叫咗 : 1) 麵包籃 (免費) -外小脆同小熱,但麵包裡面就唔熱喇 2) 友人3 courses (hk$188) i) french snails in shell w/garlic butter -侍應提點好燙,的確喺因見到d溶咗嘅牛油喺蝸牛殼內卜卜吓 -"攤"咗1陣先食 -蝸牛本身真喺無味,所以食到好明顯嘅香草味同鹽味 -我哋仲用佢嘅溶牛油塗麵包食 ii) duck breast w/honey -份量唔多 -但肉質好嫩滑,都唔多似胸位 -碟底才有少少蜜糖汁 -伴以荷蘭豆,紅蘿蔔條同薯粒(被鴨肉蓋住) -好味 iii) creme brulee -呢個做得好淺身 -但唔知喺咪因為太淺身,再用火槍燒個面,底下嘅custard就顯得有點液態feel -不過面層好脆薄,仲有股焦香味添~~~ 3) my3 courses (hk$188) i) green bean soup -呢個都幾熱 -知道我哋喺share,除咗攞多隻碗埋嚟,仲攞埋"hawk"仔嚟同我哋分埋,好好服務 -有青豆味 -小"杰"身,幾creamy -不錯 ii) grilled half spring chicken (france) -隻雞喺滑,但就無嘜味,調味也輕手 -還是喜歡有雞味嘅中國雞 -薯菜好味 iii) warm chocolate cake -唔流心,不過裡面全是高"杰"度朱古力醬,也好濃朱古力味 -只喺微微嘅暖 -浸在雲呢嗱嘅微甜湯當中 -presentation特別,不過甜湯見有雲呢嗱籽,但欠雲呢嗱味,所以有點畫蛇添足咗d * 不便宜的午餐,因呢個價$$$$都唔包餐飲 * 不過呢度服務很好,又細心............ * 要留意上菜時間唔快,食嘅時間起碼要1小時,所以不適宜quick lunch

2009-09-17選了這法式小店為男朋友慶祝生日,因為喜歡她寧靜又有情調~ 與soho只隔一個轉角,但卻遠離繁囂,悠閒自在~ 客人不多,我們被安排到玻璃窗旁的L 梳化位置,可觀賞街景~ 頭盤點了青豆松露湯、鵝肝凍食,主菜要了sea bass & scallop 及 duck leg~ 青豆湯質地幼滑,咬一口松露喝一口湯,很清新~ 平時很少點魚做主菜,因為怕多骨和魚腥,但因為想食帶子,所以要了 sea bass & scallop~ 魚,超乎意料的好吃~! 甚至比帶子更吸引~! 先說帶子,鮮甜彈牙,中央部分還是嫩嫩的,可以吃到帶子一絲絲的纖維~ 鱸魚,肉質彈牙,整片魚塊都不鞋!很鮮甜,因為煎過,所以帶著幾分甘香!一口帶子,一口魚,互相引出大家的鮮味~! 還有幾啖risotto,實在很完美! (貼心的侍應小姐更叮囑碟子很熱,小心燙手~ 男友的 duck leg, 聽說也很美味,我試了幾口,味道濃香,但我還是喜歡清新的魚和帶子~! 甜品相對上不是特別出色,但可以於訂位時請廚師寫上 Happy Birthday to XXX,也算窩心吧~! 推介美食: sea bass & scallop

2009-07-012008年6月,11月 lunch 2009年5月 dinner 係香港要找法菜fine dining餐廳不算難, 好輕易就數出幾間,但要找中價而出色的法菜, 才是難 !!!! 還記得第一次到來, 看到 menu 既 main course 竟係 "sausage", 好奇心下就點了 !! 賣相簡單討好, 一半是薯蓉一半是豆蓉, 單是顏色已悅目, 心情亦隨即提升, 上面放上兩條 sausage, 就是這樣簡單 !! sausage 味濃富肉汁, 相當不錯, 而豆蓉不是超滑的那種, 是帶一點點粒粒粗獷口感那種, 這更對我口味, 個人很是喜歡, 配以幼滑的薯蓉, 帶出強烈口感對比 !!! dessert 是我很喜歡的 floating island & Crêpe Suzette, 係香港好少法國餐廳供應的, 但可在此中尋 !! 雖然 lunch 既 Crêpe Suzette 係廚房煮好羅出黎, 但食 lunch 既話, 要求亦自然降低喇 !! 這裡 & ole ,係soho 少有的令我久不久要黎既餐廳 !!!! 評分: 味道 4 環境 4 服務 4 衛生 4 抵食 4

2009-06-21(屬於相關食評)之前來過幾次, 但都是 lunch, 今次, "番桌" dinner ~ 看中了 a la carte menu 上的 escargot, 故捨 set 而取 a la carte 也 ~ 1) amuse bouche ~ 2) feuillete of escargots ~ 3) sauteed jumbo scallop with lobster bisque 4) trio de chef escargots 一般, 反而 feuillete 做得不錯, 層次足、質感鬆脆、不油膩 ~ scallop 是名副其實的 jumbo, 且煎得夠香, 外脆肉嫩 ~ 以 lobster bisque 伴之, 味道很 match ~ 伴碟的 mashed potato 加了一點點 black truffle 與 risotto, 份外加添了菌香與嚼勁!

2009-04-18在soho第一次在呢條街開餐,睇OR呢度好似幾得,haha然得 店子細細但入面幾簡單comfortable,幾有好感 3個人appetizer有 黑松露炒蛋 - 熱熱的蛋帶出松露的香,最穩陣又好食 焗蝸牛 - 牛油很香,蝸牛少少的,都不錯 兔仔pate - 兔肉是偏濃和硬的,這種凍食造法很對味 main courses 紅酒汁sole fillet - 魚味差D,但個sauce跟底部的rissotto很正 澳洲西冷 - 做到medium rare,不錯,但肉味差D,主要是品種問題,煎的wok亦應不是勁熱令肉味流失,但法國菜有覩sauce頂住都好食的,真要食扒去steak house 了 春雞 - 最正,好soft好滑又香口,加埋偏開胃的sauce,好味 見對辦,就order埋甜品 creme brulee + chocolate cake + cheese platter coffee 點少得 lunch set 2 courses $148, 3 courses $178 , 我要了杯紅酒 soho 算唔平,但正 朋友無啦啦請,早知飲多兩杯

2009-03-31Before commenting on the food, I'd like to make a little note on the booking experience I had. Booked a table at La Terrasse a few days in advance, the person who answered the phone (sounded like a French person) was polite and friendly. I went there the day before and asked about brining our own champagne, the staff (an Asian bloke, not the one who answered the phone) said "We charge $200 cockage!" Hmmm... Okay! About the enviornment: We had a table in the outdoor area. Although the weather wasn't brilliant (a bit wet and rainy), the atmosphere was pretty good. Only disadvantage of sitting outside is passerbys can walk next to the outdoor sitting area... It took the staff (the Asian guy) a while to come take our order. Maybe because there was only one person when we were there and we were sitting outside. Anyways! We ordered some wine and starters are pate and foie gras; main courses are lamb w/ light curry sauce and beef tenderloin. Other staff (two or three more, perhaps) didn't start working/ didn't report duty until 7:30 or so. I think if you would like to have better service, it's best to have dinner there a little later. Starter: <-- The presentations were really good PATE There were two types of pate, one of them has stronger poultry flavour, and the other one was a bit plain. FOIE GRAS Simple normal pan fried foie gras, but I've had better ones. A little disappointed. Main <-- Really appreciate they thoroughly warmed the plates, the food stayed warm the entire meal and the plates were still warm after we finished the food!!! LAMB W/ LIGHT CURRY SAUCE It was surprisingly good, the sauce was very mild and brings out the lamb flavour. Very nice combination. BEEF TENDERLOIN Super tender beef. It's bigger than it looks (feel very full afterwards despite it looked a bit small). The harsh brown and vegetables on the side were very nice too. Dessert CREME BRULEE It's quite nice and fairly big in portion, enough for two to share if you had a fairly full meal. Service wasn't very good, we had to pour our wine and champagne ourselves. Perhaps that's because the restaurant was quite full that night.

(還是不喜歡自己的廣東話文字, 請讓我寫白話文!) 第二次到訪La Terrasse, 為的是Iles Flottante. 想徜徉在甜蜜蜜蜜的Vanilla Custard上面. *Sweet* :-) 本來預定了要到同區另一家法國餐廳吃Iles Flottante, 不巧那家給全包了作Private Party. Good! 跟那個Sauce很配. 忘了他點的Main是什麼, 哈. 我嘛, 我本來想點羊的, 售罄了, 改點鴨胸, 還給你附上Foie Gras. 水準不錯. 這兒的造型比較平實, Vanilla Custard倒一樣可口. Kekeke! Good! 評分: 味道 4 環境 4 服務 4 衛生 4 抵食 4

上星期2同我未婚妻慶祝拍拖2周年, 去左呢間法國餐廳試下~ 入到去發覺有個開放既露台, 環境都幾好, 同朋友吹水一流. 睇睇個menu, 頭盤有鴨肝,法國蝸牛,蟹肉沙律,生羊肉同埋唔知用咩汁整既蘋果.阿型仔大廚見我地黎慶祝, 就特別咁將d 頭盤mix埋. 一黎就上鴨肝同埋個蘋果.個鴨肝煎得岩岩好, 好鬼好味.推介~~!! 同埋佢又將個鴨肝溝左個唔知咩醬, 搽麵包一流呀~ 之後試下個法國蝸牛, 嘩~ 真係正到冇朋友~ 又係誠意之作呀~讚!! 食埋個蟹肉沙律,, 真係要講某著名食評家既金句: "d蟹肉好有蟹味!!" main 就要個三種唔同既魚同埋要個豬仔既面珠"燈". d 魚都處理得好好, 再加堆佢跟黎個醬. 好味好味~! 個豬仔既面珠"燈"煮到淋淋地又超入味~~正呀~ 好喇~ 到女仕最愛既甜品出場喇. 型仔大廚好好人咁幫我地樣樣要少少咁mix埋一碟, 分別有Chocolate Moelleux - Warm chocolate cake, Cream Brulee, ice-cream, 草莓cake同埋一個唔知咩款式既甜品. Warm chocolate cake, Cream Brulee 係必食!!我可以大膽講句唔試係你損失. 惟一就係唔知點解個女侍應唔多點有笑容,Overall 我會比90分~ 值得一試!!! 推介美食: 鴨肝,法國蝸牛,Warm chocolate cake,Cream Brulee

mcmuggarfield (非會員) | 2008-04-01上次去域多利監獄參觀已經見到呢間餐廳, 尋晚終於去試一試. 原來餐廳好似好細入面仲有個開放既露台, 環境好雅致. 我見到個menu已經流口水, 有我最愛既Snail in White Cream Sauce做頭盆, 主菜係我常叫既Seabass, 味道與賣相都非常了得!!! 而老公亦好興奮地叫左佢致愛法式洋蔥湯及燒羊架. 個湯好多料, 極甜!!! 雖然我唔食羊, 但試過一D都唔"蘇", 配埋個汁都算係一流. 老公話其他餐廳只會比D 現成薄荷醬, 但呢度既汁係個大廚調配的, very delicious. 至於我食既Snail就無太特別, 但個白汁煮得好creamy, 一食就知唔係一般開粉槳既白汁可比. 另外主菜既Seabass煎得外皮好脆, 入面既魚又keep得好滑. 心諗呢餐都算有90分之作!! 點知食埋甜品超水準既Cream Brulee同Warm Chocolate, 一定要比100分!!!!!! 食到一間甘有誠意既餐廳, 真係好滿足;-)

Food is superb there starting with a drink of Royal Kia then follow with escargots, onion soup, baked bitter cabbage with goat cheese and asparagus as starter (everything is served hot and great presentation!!); the main dish of foie gras, duck breast, fish and mussel in wine & garlic sauce ... the whole meal is spectacular and it was just $2,000 for four of us, with delicate dessert too (the creme brulee.... folks... a must-try there, it\'s not too sweet, the chefs just controlled the quality not out of the line!!) I\'ve been in SPOON, CAPRICE this top French restaurants; and I highly recommend La Terrasse as you can\'t beat the food with such reasonable price and place though you may need to do some exercise to walk up there ... but it\'s worth!! 評分: 味道 5 環境 4 服務 4 衛生 5 抵食 5

2007-08-25Four of us went there two weeks ago and were surprised that the food has improved so much from a few years back. The foie gras terrine is definitely the best in town. The escargots were good but nothing special. The surprise was the coq au vin which we thought would be one of their signature dishes turned out to be too overcooked. Although the sauce was good the meat was a little dry. The lamb loin was very tender and more than compensated for disapointment in the coq au vin. However the service is left to be desired. The manager was actually rather rude which is a pity given that this could otherwise be one of the finer establishments in town that provides an atmosphere akin to some European restaurants. Although we liked the food, we will never go back. At this price, there is no reason why you have to put up with poor service. It's probably also a reason why this restaurant is never full. And because of the poor service and the impolite staff, I have to give it a low score. What a pity!!
