i went to wakas mess on strength of thier open rice review to celebrates my best friend birthday we book the place one week before bec we want to try thier whole lamb leg cooked in tandoori oven and we try chicken tikka masala with paneer paratha cottage cheese with rice mango lassi etc the tandoori lamb leg was cooked very well they served us in very big plate with nice decoration of orange sliced. we like bit spicy and we ask them for bit spicy for the chicken tikka masala it was excellent everything was so yummy we manage to finish everything bec it taste so good we enjoy the meals with indian music and the boss give us extra 10% off we are so happy with the food quality and service definatelly we will come back !

Must must try tandoori lamb leg but must give them order and reseve the restaurant atleast 3 days in advance bec this is special item !

I went to ( WAKAS MESS ) with my friends for dinner in chinese new year when we check out the menu we are so confused what should we eat and what we should not eat bec, alot of dishes we like but finally my friend and i decide to go for seekh kebab as a appetizer it was delicious good taste and good dressing as well with lemon later we order palak paneer , keema mutter , garlic naan , and rice everything came on time was freshly cooked and taste so good not so spicy we manage to finish everything. we want to order some more food but my friend said we will not be able to finish it but definatelly we will visit again to try some more yummy food in this small place !

seekh kebab is lamb its a barbecue item. palak paneer is spinach with cottage cheese. keema mutter is minced lamb with green peas . must try this few dishes you will love it !

咖喱什菜：咖喱味濃，帶甜不太辣，個汁用來送飯送薄餅幾正。
Chicken Tikka：推介！雞肉夠腍，調味好，越食越辣，好刺激。
Saffron炒飯：香料好正。
薄餅：一般。要趁熱食。配咖喱汁好味。

服務都幾好，侍應識廣東話。環境一般但乾淨。

以食物水準計，係抵食。

I suffer from some food allergies which were always causing problem in my habit of eating out. My friends planned and we decided to try this resturent in tsim shat sui.
I was not sure if they will really care about my problem and prepare the food carefully. I have been to Taj mahal, delhi club, and khybeer pass but I got very sick after eating their food as on my face they said they will care while preparing the food but in fact they diden.
At wakas mess, I talked with manager and told him that please don’t put these ingredients in my dish. He took his time to note down what he should put in my biryani and curry and what he should not. I was not so optimistic but I felt his behavior showed that he cared.
We chatted while our food arrived. I again asked if they have cared for my order and manager told me he has prepared it as I have instructed.
We ate the food in a nice atmosphere. We had a long night ahead in the club. I was feeling so happy and relieved that I have not get sick after eating their food. They were indeed careful, caring and understanding.
Now I regularly go to this resturent and I feel I don’t have to repeat things again, manager is very friendly so on seeing me he says I know what you want your food to be so plz just let us know which dish you want to eat so we prepare accordingly. They never disappoint me. Thanks

食物賣相差，味道差，態度差！叫左一份薄餅顏色已經係深啡色，同佢講佢就話d面粉係要煎到咁先熟，但食落去係苦的！收費個時服務差，就咁拎個放錢既兜黎就走左去，態度唔好！地方窄，枱同枱之間空位唔多。整體黎講，我真係絕對唔會試下次！

I went to Wakas Mess on the strength of their Open Rice reviews. I was a little hesitant-- of the 14 English reviews, 6 are by non-members and 5 are by accounts with only 1-review. But I'm happy to say that the food is great.

I showed up a little after 2:00pm on a Tuesday, and the restaurant was completely empty. I almost left thinking it was closed, but I peeked back in the kitchen, and the waiter came out and took my order.

Some other reviewers mentioned pappadums-- I didn't get any, but I suppose that had to do with my odd lunching hour.

I'm a huge spicy-food fan, so I pretty much always order the vindaloo-- chicken vindaloo this time-- and I asked them to make it very spicy. Well, I had no complaints. The curry had 5 or 6 large chunks of tender, boneless chicken, and 2 large chunks of potato. The sauce was a fiery deep-red, almost maroon, and was chunky, which is how I like it. It was truly spicy too-- I'd recommend it only for the serious spice fanatics. Exactly what I wanted: A

I also ordered some samosas. They didn't look like much and their flaky shells were a little bit thin, but the filling was exceptionally good. Maybe a little salty, but tasty all the same. They came with a creamy mint chutney that was also quite good. They also had a little bit of spice to them, which is nice! A

Last night we went to ( WAKAS MESS ) it was our marriage anniversary we order set for 2 person it just cost us HK$218
only we get vegetable samosa , chicken tikka, chicken masala, palak paneer, garlic naan, pulav rice , and lassi . the food was really yummy specially chicken masala and palak paneer not so spicy it just taste perfect the food is quite delicious and good enough for 2 person we enjoy alot nice place friendly service we will be back soon thanks to ( WAKAS MESS ) !

今日難得凖時放工，我約左老公同好友一齊去吃咖喱，上次同同事吃完呢間咖喱覺得好好味，所以今次再黎過，今日吃左羊肉卷十咖喱羊十咖喱牛十薄餅！二種咖喱唔同味，薄餅好脆！好特別，真有心思，又唔貴，味道好好，唔會太辣，但係好香，最重要係老板好nice,態度超好！今時今日香港需要呢D服務！以後會keep住去！超好吃啊，一定要去

We friends decided to come here for dinner. We had previously visited once before and had a good first impression.

We finally decided to order samosas, mix grill, butter naan, prawn vindaloo and wakas special fried rice.

First papadums came with fresh mint sauce and they gave us some yogurt also. It went v good with the sauce. I remember we had masala papadum on our last visit and they were v tasty.

Then our lovely breads and the curries came. This is my first time having a wakas fried rice. They were so well cooked and right mixing of vegies and meat inside. The taste was very light and not spicy at all. Chicken korma was nice colour and was a hint of coconut I think, which went well with the subtle spices in the dish. The mutton was surprisingly tender and lean!

Our prawn vindaloo in the right colour, and had the same thickness as the korma but the taste was just right!
I asked for very spicy but I think they understand Chinese customers so they cooked it medium spicy which was v good for us. We diden have to drink so much water and we had spicy but manageable spicy food. Butter naan and wakas special friend rice were good with the spicy sauce.

It was spicy but we enjoy the dinner. Want to try other dishes next time.

Last Tuesday had a farewell lunch with my friend as he was going back to USA that evening. Since he likes Indian food a lot, we decided to try Wakas Mess. For lunch time, no booking service is provided. But we arrived at 12:30pm, there was not much ppl there. So it was good, no need to wait for table.

We didn't order the set lunch. Instead, we had tried lamp samosa and vegetable pakora as appetizers. Chicken tikka and palak paneer as main courses, with paneer naan and galic naan. And we tried Mango lassi and masala tea.

All the dishes were very tasty, and not very spicy. We especially like the and chicken tikka. Mango lassi was really good as well. It matched with the food. But my friend said that masala tea also ok.

For the service, it's good too. The waiter kept re-filling water for us.
