I ordered the pork chop for lunch and Caesar salad . The portion was very small and I started to feel hungry again after lunch . There were about 10 pieces of romaine lettuce for the ceasae salad . The pork taste like cha Siu pork with only 2 small pieces of potatoes . The set lunch was 168 plus service charge and I don’t think it’s worth the money .

頭盤揀咗個西瓜沙律西瓜唔係好甜,但個質地我唔識形容,有啲膠菜葉正常啦,反而幾欣賞個醋主菜我揀羊,要求盡量生啲先睇表面,煎面一啲都唔靚,最靚係個肥邊再切,一啲都唔生,只少六成熟,無羊味,肉質仲合格唔係有個汁應該都好淡口試一試朋友個fish fillet, 價位嚟講叫可以,就接觸到嫩滑嘅邊緣我想最後先食個蒜蓉包,佢又好趕時間一收就收哂,無得食個價錢對哩個質素,lunch time 仲要唔多客㗎,爭少少咁

朋友是老客戶,這次第一趟帶我去^^晚餐点了鹅肝,兩款意粉,燒雞,紅酒服務一流,特意按我們要求減少意粉份量,很貼心!燒雞外香內軟,我吃了雞腿,肉汁很多很嫩!很用心,有水準的料理!必試 ^^

Beef Carpaccio & Beef Tartare $180. Very small portion, but of great quality. The beef carpaccio was thinly sliced raw beef tenderloin that was so meaty and satisfying with a hint of vinegar, pinch of salt and pieces of parmesan chunks made it absolutely delicious. The beef tartare was nicely seasoned- but I loveeeed the carpaccio.

Until I had this. Traditional Seafood Soup $180. Again, a very small portion- but its just too well executed. The seafood soup was full of fresh king prawn, scallops, mussels and clams. The soup was a delicious bisque. I loved the strong seafood taste that made it so savoury.

Linguini w/ Porcini mushrooms and spanish ham $280. The spanish ham was sharp and salty which had a nice balance to the fragrant and bouncy linguini pasta. It was nice but my least favourite of the bunch.
I'll definitely be back! The food was soooo good, its definitely very expensive. The portions are quite small- but its great for a nice intimate and delicious dinner (but afterwards, we did go for a second dinner....guess we were still hungry!) :/

凱撒沙律

外表看似無甚特別,但廚師把雞皮煎得金黃香脆,雞肉鮮甜,一陣油香的雞味配合極為綿軟嫩滑的雞胸雞脾肉,這是一般冰鮮雞無可媲美的人間美味。如此鮮嫩口感加上肉香於口腔內四濺的關係,直教人難忘,對燒雞的印象改觀。
特濃咖啡
滿口油香雞味加上血糖作怪,真心怕睡魔會影響下午的工作效率,以此作藉口,給心魔點了一杯熱咖啡。因為收到急CALL工作關係而來不及替其拍照留念,特此道歉。呷一啖,睡魔完蛋了!一股苦中帶甘的咖啡豆香味已直衝上大腦中樞神經,雖然搞不清到底喜歡帶苦還是帶酸的咖啡,但這杯入口先香濃甘苦,繼而一陣果味獲利回吐似的湧現,才令人想ENCORE~

-豬柳真喺唔易煮得好食(來貨要好,廚子要有技術),所以通常我好少會冒險叫豬扒呀,豬柳呀,黑豚肉等

-我咁飽,當然食唔到1個set啦,所以我散叫了該店嘅其1名物
-要求扁意粉要al dente
-友人倆幫忙照顧1/2份嘅意粉,好等我唔好side嘢
-蜆喺中大等size,肉都無嘜縮到,所以1定無煮老到
-真的好鮮嫩
-而個扁意粉唔腍,仲幾滑添,不過如果煮到可以有小硬就更佳
-全碟精華所在就喺個魚湯底
-喺鹹咗少少,但就喺好鮮甜
-很不錯

* 該店嘅主菜全做得好好,我都有望過其他食客嘅set lunch,好似燒雞咁,都好香。set lunch唔包甜品,但我戰鬥力唔夠,所以無+到朱古力蛋糕

* 食飽之後,就去再出名嘅永利街行咗1轉.........當做吓運動~~~都不少攝友喎~~~

We booked the restaurant for an early Christmas dinner for 24 people. The restaurant offered a 3 courses set menu. The food came out pretty fast considering the kitchen had to cook for so many people. However, all of the dishes were really simple - all appetizers were served with a salad and all mains were served with the same vegetable sides so it was easy for the kitchen to prepare. We booked the restaurant for an early Christmas dinner for 24 people. The restaurant offered a 3 courses set menu.

The food came out pretty fast considering the kitchen had to cook for so many people. However, all of the dishes were really simple - all appetizers were served with a salad and all mains were served with the same vegetable sides so it was easy for the kitchen to prepare.

I had the grilled king prawns for appetizer, salmon for main and apple pie for dessert. The king prawns turned out to be 2 pieces of grilled REGULAR shrimp severed with a side of salad. It did not require any cooking skills at all to put this dish together. For my main course of Salmon, the waiter didn't even ask me what temperature I wanted the fish to be cooked. When I inquired, he told me the restaurant normally cooks it to medium. So I asked for rare as I was sure the kitchen would overcook the Salmon. My Salmon came out medium rare and to be fair the dish was ok as it had enough acid. Dessert was an individual apple pie and was nothing to write home about.

My husband's had smoked salmon as an appetizer, braised lamb shank as main and chocolate cake as dessert. The smoked salmon was store bought, sliced then served. The braised lamb shank was only cooked half way! Normally he likes his lamb medium rare but not when it's a piece of shank. The meat was so tough and unflavorful that he left half of the mean untouched.

The meal turned out close to $1,000 per person and it was just terrible for the food we got. I think the chef has no imagination (same salad and sides for every dish) and no cooking skills what so ever (half braised shank?)! The food was boring and terrible. It tasted as if the only spice the chef knows how to use is salt only. I think any home cook would do better than this restaurant. I'm just really surprised that the restaurant is still around!

Linguine with Clams

The linguine is in a fish broth and quite firm to chew. Tasty but not too tasty. The clams though are HUGE and you can be assured that you aren't just getting empty shells. In fact, all of them had a big clam meat inside!

Linguine with Mushroom and Spanish Ham
No complaints!

Linguine with Japanese Mushroom and Uni
My friend said the uni actually worked well with the dish!

*note* Although the linguine dishes were good, they were not really authentic Italian. I mean, the pasta did not taste freshly made, even though they were supposed to be, and it just didn't have the rich flavors of Italian cuisine.

Warm chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream
This was soo yummy!! The chocolate cake was warm, as advertised, and the insides just flowed out when we cut it open... Delicious and recommended!!

Overall, I highly recommend this place, especially for its wonderful atmosphere. They even have a terrace outside for sunny/dry days. It's really an oasis from the hustle and bustle of HK!

高檔餐廳午飯走平民化路線,最適合我地呢d喜歡食但唔想overpay 既人。試過多次星期六lunch在Gough 40 吃,價錢合理之餘 (約$100-$130) ,水準保持十分高,絕不將貨就價欠場。如果是食肉獸,可供選擇主菜包括燒羊架、薄牛排、豬扒(呢個唔係時時有) 。唔想大塊肉,另有燒雞(好好食,注意份量不少) 、pasta等。話時話佢果頭盆,即係沙律或湯都好得,份量少d,但夠食嘞。如果食得落,記住加二十蚊叫埋dessert,佢個apple crumble 同warm chocolate cake都係極品,其實我覺得留肚都要食。

2008-11-27多謝大大遠道而來請我食呢餐生日飯有時o黎歌賦,有位都叫偷笑,勝在我o地較早食飯。二人要求四人檯是一定不行的$108 - 蒜蓉包ok 正,蛋沙律一般,蛋無o黎蛋味(奇怪)。牛仔骨扁麵就好好呀,牛仔骨生生o地有少少血,但唔韌又好好食,麵條亦好。大大貴$10 的三文魚麵反而得幾條熟三文魚毛仔超搵笨最怪係,是日set lunch 要勞煩侍應拎住塊黑板去present,咁慳呀……凍飲唔駛加錢,熱奶茶對味

這店子實在小得可憐,一共只有不足十張檯。其實整條歌賦街大部份食肆亦是如此,都是從經營別的生意轉過來做飲食的。依稀記得,童年時的歌賦街多半是印刷公司,想不到轉眼間就憑一間九記,一檔勝香園,把整條街帶旺成為中環區 Soho 以外的美食大道.....我一向對這些精品店式的小餐廳都情有獨鐘。原因很簡單,大多數此類餐廳只有一個主廚,菜色選擇雖然不多但每多有佳作,最重要是水準偏向穩定。此店旁有一家名 39A Gough 的餐廳,亦是以簡潔裝修為主,是否同屬一個老板就不得而知了。午餐的 set lunch 我選了露筍奶油 - 還好,最起碼不是罐頭湯貨色。湯因用了土豆變得頗為濃郁,但可惜唯欠露筍味。主菜是煎鴨胸,鴨胸煎得過了火,太熟了。太座的主菜是牛柳條 linguine,我嚼了少許 - 不俗,牛柳條算是嫩滑, linguine 的醬汁酸酸辣辣亦討人好感。服務態道是十二分的差勁。相信是老板娘的女士板著口面 "宣獨" 出是日午餐菜色,結賬時我就連一句 "多謝" 也聽不到,相比隔壁的銀杏館那群服務態道一流的耆英實在有天壤之別之感.......天氣實在太熱了,這樣 side walk cafe 感覺還是留給

25-Mar-2008睇完醫生, 想食勝香園, 兩點去到都人頭湧湧, 無位就轉去試 Gough 40。叫左午餐吞拿魚沙律, 沙律醋唔算香, 醋味亦一般, 沙律菜唔甜, 洋蔥亦無味。羊膝: 配菜係甜豆, 蕃茄仔, 脆肉瓜, 薯仔, 各樣都唔好食尤其係甜豆, 一口咬落就一陣草腥味, 羊膝就普普通通。咖啡亦淡淡的無感覺, 食完就閃。以過百大洋的午餐黎講絕對肥佬, 有免費踢"演"睇又如何, 連午餐都唔好食更煌論晚餐菜式, 咁仲邊會比多幾倍錢去試阿蘇介紹的主餐牌菜色呀!
