Bellbrook Bistro Oz by Laris opened up last year on Wyndham to pretty good reviews. I haven’t gone yet but one evening decided to go check out what the hype was all about! We got there relatively early- before 6:30…and were the first ones there. The vibe is young, loud and fun. Get ready for some rustic Aussie comfort food. We started with the Oz Oysters ($28 a piece)...Coffin Bay, SA which were delicately salty and sweet! Then my cravings for oysters got even MORE intense…Definitely wanted some more…
Black Pork Scotch Egg $98. Slow cooked Organic Egg, Horseradish creme fraiche. These were one of their signature table bites. But they weren’t anything too out of the ordinary. They were nice and crispy on the outside…but didn’t pack too much flavour.
Black Pork Cheek + Wagyu Beef Rissoles $178, Roasted tomato sauce, orzo pasta. This was definitely a surprise! Delicious. It had so much flavour. All the cheese and tomato sauce packed such a punch. And the pork cheef and wagyu beef rissoles were so tender, soft and juicy! Loved, loved, LOVED this.
The drinks menu is full of delicious options and I went for the boozy Bellbrook lemonade pitcher! It was a lemonade mix with plenty of fresh grapefruit and lime juice. 15L pitcher for $330!! Thats not too bad at all. We were still a bit hungry- so off we went to find MORE food!
