I am not good at spontaneous dinner planning and here I am stuck @ the West Island side. High tables on the side with the hanging traditional red lamp that grandma uses to check fresh eggs at the wet market, and sofa seats on the other side. Incredibly airy and spacious between tables so you don't have to be involved in the business of what's happening in life for people at the table next to/behind you.

I asked for a few drinks and food recommendation, and the staff is extremely nice and helpful. We almost go for the man up choice and ordered ribs but the staff recommendation a signature dish which he confidently claimed that most customers would like.
I love places which is good at their drink, especially with great originality and taste good as it looks. And Tivo definitely score the point and win my heart. This cucumber and avocado alcoholic smoothies in a mason jar does look like it fits in more in a day time cafe but it's one of their signature cocktail at Tivo (I swear to good it has a proper fancy name, but sorry....my memory for drinks names is as bad as remembering song names). Extremely smooth, creamy, and finely blended with no crackling sounds of ice that I hate. I am in the mist of deciding whether I should call it heavy or refreshing, coz it's with cucumber, but can honestly be quite filling at the same time.
While I like my own food, I am quite manipulating in a way that I want people to order sth different (but of my liking), usually those that runs in the second top of my list. Sangria is always sth I like to order. Generally, I prefer a red sangria but they are doing a good job with their whites. And I probably don't know what counts as an authentic Sangria, but if my Sangria doesnt come with fruit inside, I am gonna be slightly angry haha! (Yes, 22 SHIPS....your red Sangria is extraordinarily and "impressingly" disappointing.)

This definitely fixed my craving for good freshly made pasta - thin, glossy and more tender. The delicate texture of fresh pasta might be one of the various reasons (or excuse...? =P) that I could not completely cut on carbs. Again, don't ask me about names, but this is basically a pappardelle with wild mushroom, duck, rocket and shred of cheese and hint of herbs on top. Seriously, I secretly wanted to have it all on my own, that's how good this pasta dish is. Starting off with great satisfaction and more to come.

It took us awhile until we realise that the staff missed our order for this juicy wagyu beef in gua bao. This gua bao comes in a more Japanese style of flavour, with a great combination of sweet soy (or bbq) sauce, parsley and pink ginger. Licking my lips and fingers for this juicy and lean wagyu beef =9 nommm!
Cannot end my meal without dessert. This dessert platter for 2 allowed us to try all dessert on menu.

My first guess is: Vanilla and red bean ice cream, mashmellow lollipop, lemon cheesecake and mango pastry.
But they are indeed: Pecan lollipop, banana and vanilla gelato, butterscotch pudding with raspberry and pistachio that taste quite like cheesecake and mango spring roll.
Unexpected, but quite nice and interesting!

My frd and I both like the fact how this Tivo @ Kennedy Town is slight out of the heart of the city. No queue, No massive crowd, No reservation is required for a weekday night. Perfecto!! Highly recommended. =]
