Arrived to Sha Tin late -this was one of the few places open. After the server indicated that the spicy soups would have MSG in them, I decided on a dry soup. This was a nice 'soup' --actually a collection of noodles, and other bits without a soup base. It has some nice spicy bits in the centre of the noodles which made for a increasingly spicy meal (as I ate my way closer to the spice). Unfortunately, the only flavour was that of the spice. The pickles, tofu, and even the peanuts (save the salt
The almond milk was quite nice --although just slightly sweet.
The hausui (trans: "saliva" or [mouth][water]) chicken (this is what the dish is called; so no need to gross-out) was the next to arrive. It was very good! The chicken was well cooked and the sauce (with peanuts) complimented the meat perfectly; giving it a rich flavourful taste with an appropriate level of complexity.
The deep-fried pumpkin tablets tasted very much like the deep-fried cake at new years --with a slightly candied taste to them.
The pork neck was also well done. The dipping sauce complimenting the meats' flavour and texture.
題外話/補充資料:
Beware MSG: It is in ALL of the spicy soups, and the balls (fish balls, etc). This was according to the server (upon questioning).
