This has become my favourite place for hot pot! There's something amazing about this place that makes it taste better everytime. I remember the first time I tried this restaurant, I didn't find anything special and would've rated it an "Okay." Since then, I've probably came back more than 10 times in 2 months and its definitely worth a "笑" . I always order the Yin Yang soup - half of it is spicy and half of it isn't. I always order the Yin Yang soup - half of it is spicy and half of it isn't. Their soup base is similar to 小肥羊's, since they use types of chinese herbal medicine too, but this tastes better! The spicy part gets spicier as it cooks. This place claims that their soup is healthy and makes you live longer ... I'm not sure about that, but as long as it tastes good, I'm happy!
In terms of the foods, we ordered 雪花肥牛 - it was tasty and good value. The meat was fat enough and well distributed. Wasn't too thin so the texture was good. We also ordered 纖維粉, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! These are similar to 小肥羊's 肥羊粉, they're thick and very very chewy ... so delicious with some soup and sauce. We also had the Deep-fried Beancurd Roll, which you can find in some hot pot places only. These were good because they weren't too big so didn't fill up my stomach too fast as some usually do. Their 四寶丸 and 墨魚滑 is also worth mentioning. Fresh and chewy in texture! In terms of the restaurant itself - one of the older, scruffy restaurants of HKG - just a few tables with photographs of their foods stuck all over the wall. But don't get fooled by the physical and judge a book by its cover! Try it and you won't regret! The service was nice and friendly, its always the same woman serving all the tables! She's friendly and helpful and remembers me because my sisters and I come so often.
