Given the good reviews, we decided to give it a try. It was a good restaurant for dim sum as the service, food, and prices were all reasonable. After the first good experience, we went back for a formal set dinner. That's where the problems surfaced.In addition to the set dinner, we ordered a special fish for an extra $400. In addition to the set dinner, we ordered a special fish for an extra $400. The size of the fish was small, and it was not enough for a table of 9. The honey-colored piglet's skin crust was rough and the presentation was awful. The shark's fin soup was sub-standard. All in it cost about $400 per person. Overall, the restaurant has management and food presentation issues compared to its peers around Admiralty. We could have gone to a better one for the same price around Admiralty.
From my experience, always stay with the better name, like Maxim restaurant group, for consistent management, service, and food. It annoys me when restaurants try to cut corner. Chat me once, shame on you; chat me twice, shame on me. I won't even go back for dim sum.
