Me and my family have been frequent customer to this restaurant for over a year now, we often come here for their afternoon tea sets which we found were good value and quality. Recently, we saw a decline in both food quality, menu selection and most importantly, service standard. Last saturday, we went there again and ordered the "Deep fried basket" which contains a selection of deep fried items include Buffalo cheese, cheese broccoli, fish fingers and chips. Last saturday, we went there again and ordered the "Deep fried basket" which contains a selection of deep fried items include Buffalo cheese, cheese broccoli, fish fingers and chips. Previously, we were able to exchange the cheese broccoli for more fish fingers but this time this was not possible cos the restaurant "policy" has changed. To our disappointment, we ordered this anyway. When the basket arrived, we noticed that there was no Buffalo cheese and so we asked the waitress about this. She told us that they've ran out of Buffalo Cheese, so we asked about compensation and to our surprise, she told us the chef have automattically gave us more fries!!!
We told her this is not the core of the problem and asked to speak to the manager. The manager came with equally irresponsible attitude and blamed us for distracting the waiter to took our order by asking about subsitiuting broccoli with fish finger so he forgot to tell us about the lack of Buffalo Cheese. As the customer, our point was that if the restuarant changed the content of the dish without notifying us, we would have the right to choose what we want as a compensation. To this point, we asked the manager what he can do about it and he suggested for us to cancel the dish as a hole - meaning that if we are so dissatisfied with it, we should not eat it at all!!!!
The service level of this formally enjoyable restuarant has just deterlorated dramatically over a period of months.
We'll never go there again.
