餃類和丸子最出色好

已經在東來居吃火鍋幾年,水準穩定,更不時有創新意念,是我們跟好友的理想聚腳地。

湯底款式很多,最愛的粟米海膽魚湯,是主持人口中的「溝女湯底」,大量鮮甜粟米浸在金黃濃湯裏,加個蕃茄滾熟更加吸引!椰青雞湯底也很受歡迎,把一整隻鮮雞放進純椰青汁裏煮熟,清新又健康。

平時吃火鍋我都盡量避免餃類和丸子,在東來居卻是例外。這裡的餃子與別不同,魚皮餃、九層塔蚵仔餃,很多都是特地從台灣、泰國等地訂貨入口,材料上乘,配搭極有心思。

丸子類也很出色。台灣貢丸是必吃之選,豬肉香菇味道天然,配上特製甜豉油簡直天衣無縫;蝦丸不僅份量十足,切成粗粒的蝦肉更別具口感;福州魚丸是真正在福州人手製的,煙韌彈牙之餘,中空藏了豬肉粒,咬下去有「醬爆」的感覺。

另外有自由設計的丸子,食客可以選擇牛丸內包著蝦肉、魚丸裏包裹芹菜等,十分有趣。

大力推薦此處的午餐肉,也是老闆不知從哪個地區訂回來的,總之是近年來吃過最好,肉質細緻而鬆化,用來做火鍋是意想不到的美味。還有三秒響鈴(腐皮卷)、蝦子麫等,全都是只此一家,別處是吃不到的。

最後來個軟心朱古力,是這兒的著名甜品,水準比許多大酒店西餐廳還要高。每次來東來居,總是撐著肚子回家。

大大隻的美國桶蠔好

東來居地方不大,裝修簡約隨意,有貴賓廂房,大堂有卡位、圓枱及吧枱!
自助醬料款式甚多,有薑末、芫荽、小辣椒、XO醬、芝麻醬、麻油、和意大利黑醋等
當晚選擇了醉雞火鍋,雞嫩滑新鮮,湯底有濃濃酒味,不錯!
丸類選擇甚多,有豬肉丸、鮮魚球、鮮牛丸、鮮蝦丸和鮮墨魚丸,全部是新鮮手打出來,頗彈牙
還有大大隻的美國桶蠔,十分肥美
最出名的「三秒腐皮」都相當不錯,「三秒腐皮」有點像圓筒形蛋卷,放在湯中淥三下便要取出,故取名「三秒腐皮」!

見咁多人讚好,所以三五知己黎試下,但係點解張點菜單冇標明價錢,要睇餐單先睇到價錢,好麻煩。
丸類例如墨魚丸,一粒等同兩串魚蛋的價錢,有彈性但偏硬,味道並不如街邊墨魚丸。
宣稱美國優質桶蠔,好野好野成舊水得兩舊,出面大舊新鮮法國生蠔都係五十有找,美國新鮮蠔三十都得,呢奸野厲害。
手切肥牛,真係手切? 以爲個個食客都未煮過飯未切過野? 一碟差不多兩舊,但分量少而且絕對不是有質素的牛肉,很鞋。
鮮鱔片,邊個部位鮮? 中間最核心個一立方毫米? 而且沒有魚味,估計冷藏過。
菜類,一般沒有什麽特別。
同個服務員問點解會呢個價錢,個回答係,高級酒店都係呢個價錢,阿哥你搵另外一奸標價相若的比我看看。
再來討論返個餐蛋飯,梅林牌午餐肉配湖南雞蛋,金華火腿粒,加上仿日本米,再加尋常醬油,成本十五蚊,賣十倍價錢,這又是什麽心腸呢。
這就是所謂的名人效應吧!

I came with anticipation but turned out to be experienced with an awful memory. sad

The food was not good, such as the known 3-colour handmade rounds(手打丸) have same taste. Also, a staff, a tall and big man with an earphone and responding with hesitation and indifference, kept asking us to order seafood. sad sad
I booked a table for 4, and finally one of my friends didn't come. The restaurant remained to charge us 4 sauce fee($25 each). sad sad sad
Worse still, as long as we had double checked the discount using HSBC credit card with their staff in advance, they charged us the original price and insisted the discount only offers from Monday to Thursday. The staff even asked us the name of staff who told us such offer (Who cares the staff name during reservation!). sad sad sad sad
Eventually the bill has been amended because of our insistence.
But to be frank, I was absolutely disappointed to finish the meal.

The famous Michelin 1 star Hot Pot 好

To call for a celebrating meal, you could always count on the famous Michelin 1 star Hot Pot - King's Garden restaurant. I have been here for numerous time and have not been disappointed once. It is true that a lot of people wouldn't hot pot at the price but for the quality of the ingredients and soup base, plus the not as noisy environment. It does explain the price range they are charging their customer.It was always very pleasant to start with mixing your own sauces. Just look at all the options that available presented in this organized arrangement.
For the night, we had the Chinese yellow wine chicken pot as the soup base. It came with half a chicken and some chinese herbs with ginger as part of the soup. We listened to the staff's tip and didn't cook all the chicken pieces at once. This enable us to kept the chicken soft and juicy, and mostly importantly not overcooking them.

We also ordered the hand sliced local beef slices. It was not that impressive this time. I would go for the beef cubes instead for my next visit.
The mixed fusion cuttlefish balls were also my all time favorite. They were recommended to pair with shrimp paste sauce.
It might be a little unappetizing for my foreign friends, but one of the delights was gooses intestine. They are so fatty and fresh. It is not those frozen ones that normally served.
Goose liver (or duck liver) was always a must on my order list in every visit. The fatty goose liver was melting in the mouth with its richness. It is total different experience from pan fried foie gras.
It is mouth watering to writing down the details of this nice meal. I hope you will enjoy this place as much as I do.
