來一口百年甜蜜滋味好

最近,香港文華東方酒店,與維也納兩間百年老店--Café Central Wien 及 Julius Meinl 合作推出的期限奧地利(維也納)主題下午茶,以及風味甜點!love

一場特別的約會後,帶了傳統而富維也納地道風味的 Sachertarte - Traditional moist and dense chocolate cake with apricot jam covered in dark chocolate 回家。中間恰如其份的杏脯醬,令甜蜜的朱古力蛋糕層次更豐富;特別在忙完家務,哄睡了兩隻後吃一口,讓味蕾舌尖有如往維也納的百年咖啡老店走了一圈,十分美好。balloon

今日同事last day, 請食文華做散水餅。好耐之前食過文華一次,佢啲cheese cake 真係唔錯,今次都係食cheese cake,另外佢知我鍾意食野,俾多件覆盆子歌opera cake我。

Cheese cake 一如既往咁幼滑,比起出面其他餅店,真係勝一籌,果然名不虛傳。至於覆盆子甜甜酸酸的,上面有粒紅莓,下面的類似是蛋糕夾著紅莓cream,好開胃。賣相比起芝士蛋糕更吸引。

不過兩者之中,我還是覺得芝士蛋糕較合我口味。

日日有食神!今日同事請食餅,芝士控嘅我當然揀心頭好American cheese cake啦!我一向唔係好鐘意食一般cheese cake嘅餅底, 所以呢個無餅底嘅cheese cake真係啱晒我,完完全全嘅芝士滿足度更加多!呢個cream cheese味好濃厚,入口感覺質地紮實又滑,面上配有一片朱古力薄片,即使配埋一齊食都唔會搶走芝士嘅香味!而且size剛好,食完成舊都唔會覺得漏!

Nothing beats a relaxing afternoon break. This time we spent it at the Cake Shop at MO.

As we were still very full after lunch, we only ordered some desserts at the cafe. We ordered a chocolate truffle cake and a chestnut cake.

The chocolate truffle is my all-time favorite. The chocolate was very rich but not heavy. Interesting there was some sour raspberry jam on the inside which balanced out the sweetness. What a nice twist!
My husband likes the chestnut cake a lot. You can tell the freshness of chestnut with just one small bite. There were layers of cream, cake and mashed chestnuts on the inside. It was just soft and sweet which made our day!
One thing i would like to point out is that the servers there said all the eggs they used for cakes are pasteurized which make the cakes safe for pregnant ladies and children. I have not had cakes with cream / mousse for long b'cos of the use of raw eggs. But now I can have more than enough at MO. Very thoughtful of them!

There were not too many people probably it was a weekday. Thankful that we managed to spend some quiet time at a cafe together with some nice sweet treats!

My colleague recieved some Mandarin cookies so we were really lucky to try them.
They were cute in size about the size of a HKD$1 coin dusted with sugar.
The citrus one was the best because it had bits of orange peel in it, and the chocolate was also good with pieces of chocolate chips in it.
All the cookies had a nice buttery taste to it.
