I ordered a kimchi pork and tofu soup with rice for dinner. When it arrived, I had a bite of their tofu and realized that it was sour. Tofu isn't supposed to taste sour unless it's spoiled so I told the manager. Instead of thinking that it was an issue, the manager shrugged and told me "the tofu is supposed to be sour" then walked away huffy. I ordered a meal combination, and it came with the Hong Kong-styled milk tea. Seriously, who can say "no" to Hong Kong-styled milk tea? Second, it also came with a vegetable soup. Mind you, Chinese vegetable soup could be very different than a Western vegetable soup or "borsch". The Principal was e.x.p.e.n.s.i.v.e. but was it worth a try? I would say that this is a one time only dining experience especially with their lunch menu at the price of HKD330 for three courses. The staff were friendly and patient with our orders so everything was going great! The “Set Antipasti” was set at HKD145 for an appetizer, pasta, and home-made blueberry gelato that was magnifique and cooling in the Hong Kong heat. Expensive burgers for about HKD80 to HKD100 but so worth it. Shake em Buns is a punny burger spot in Hong Kong located on the Pottinger steps in Central. What? A bowl of wonton noodles for HKD24 in Central Hong Kong? Tsim Chai Kee is a must go if you want some authentic Hong Kong king prawn wonton noodles in soup. For that price, I got three to four wontons as big as my palm and they were cooked to juicy and soft. I would actually prefer another type of noodle other than egg noodles but these were moist and the broth was delicious without too much MSG.

I recently went to try ItaMoMo Cafe at Wong Tai Sin. It describes itself as a “Western Italian” restaurant, although I think that its offerings are more “generally Western” than “specifically Italian”. I would put ItaMoMo Cafe on the premium-economy pricing scale; it’s certainly not a low-cost HK-styled restaurant. Price was absolutely worth it for the lunch set. I had a creamy pumpkin soup and duck with potato scallops but by the time I was finished with my soup, I was already full. Sorry I meant once they gave us their delicious baguette with whatever spread it was, I was full. Love this place and the servers are nice.
