Fresh fish and some very creative dshes

Sushi is one of my greatest loves in life and my hopes were high on a hungry Friday night, after a friend recommended this place to us. We started off with the Sushi and the owner was very accommodating, offering to bring out 1.5x servings of each dish (since they come in plates of 2) so the three of us could try more items. The sushi also came out on individual wooden platters - thumbs up for service and presentation. The salmon and scallop were extremely fresh. The salmon and mango nirgiri wrapped in tofu skin was everyone's favourite. The sweetness of the tofu, combined with the fresh tart mango, balanced the salmon really well. The scallop nigiri was also excellent, given the freshness of the shellfish. We also ordered a few rolls to share. The dragon roll was good, but the nigiri were the standouts. Next we ordered a bunch of grilled items and house specials. The bacon wrapped lychee skewer was amazing. It was an interesting and creative combination and the sharp sweetness of the lychee (fresh not canned) balanced the fatty bacon really well. We also ordered the chicken knuckles and grilled salmon bone. Both were good, but I would recommend ordering more of the sushi given how fresh it was, and also definately don't miss out on the lychee bacon. The atmosphere was warm and cosy. The waitstaff only speak Cantonese, but the owner is there everynight servicing customers and speaks fluent English. You can also order directly from your phone at this restaurant, without having to download an app. It has photos, translations and is really easy to use so language won't be an issue. 

It was good value as well. We only ended up spending $150 pp and were all stuffed by the end of the meail. 

Will definately go again. 

The menu is very extensive, but the standout is definitely the sushi and sashimi given how fresh the fish was. I also liked that they had a service where you could also directly order from your phone, which saves a lot of time and also solves the language barrier problem.
