加東叻沙蝦麵 (灣仔)

I found this place and just from flipping through reviews and photos, I got so hungry and started to crave laksa hardcore. I had no choice, I had to go. Despite being almost a 15 minute walk from my work, I survived but had to queue for a table for 1.The laksa here is delicious! The portions are quite large though, so I drank all my soup but couldn't finish the noodles. The prawns in the noodles were okay, not very fresh, but the other bits were good. 

The staff here were really friendly. If you come at lunch time then you should expect to share a table with other people.

Passion (灣仔)

I walk by this bakery everyday on my way home and I've been inside a few times for lunch (their salad boxes are good). I usually stand and stare at the cupcake display case before I leave, admiring all the pretty cake tops and imagining the way they'd taste.I finally decided that it was time to try one and made a purchase a few days ago. I chose the berries on lemon, which has red icing and dark red & green specks on top. First of all, I don't really consider this a cupcake because it's baked right into the ceramic bowl (which I got to keep because I ordered mine to go). It's more of a ceramic bowl cake.The cake itself is so-so. My cake should have been lemon flavoured but it wasn't strong enough and the cake was a bit mushy on the bottom. Eating the icing felt like eating a mouthful of butter. It's rich and sweet but the berries flavour became less apparent as I finished the cupcake. I didn't even finish all the cream/icing.For $30 a pop it wasn't as good as it could have and should have been. The only consolation is that I got to keep the ceramic bowl, which is easily worth a few bucks.

Go Go 咖喱丼丼 (銅鑼灣)

Mr. G & I came to the restaurant after I raved about to him. He was hesitant, as he is when it comes to rice dishes. Luckily they have the Katsu Don, which he loves mostly because of the scrambled eggs. He also ordered a mini curry udon. I ordered the curry porkchop with a mini udon. The dishes come in a good portion, the porkchop is not too oily and the curry is rich and not too salty (which I find to be a problem sometimes).

I think the most interesting thing about this restaurant that's worth mentioning is that most dishes come in 4 different sizes, so you can be certain that you'll not leave hungry. They also give unlimited refills of cabbage, which I love because it helps take some of the grease away.
