Despite reading many positive articles and blogs (pr pitches?) I must say here was nothing special. Don't believe the hype. Nothing bad but no wow. Reminds me of 1980s British school food but not really worth a journey. There is not a problem with the food itself, other than its taste is rather uninspiring and bland. Hardly an explosion of tastes or just something that forms a nice "hook" to get you going back more (think McDonald's, even if you acknowledge it is mass-market food, there is often a convenience or a more please factor that gets you going back).

I read and believed the hype. I wish I hadn't. It wasn't bad per se but no wow factor. If I got this in a hotel breakfast I'd still be unimpressed. The toast was hardly toasted, the puddings tasted more like something you'd get on an aircraft or a bland hospital meal. Even school dinners all those years ago in the UK were overall better than this. There was nothing to take back to the kitchen and say fix. It is just that one starts from a low bottom and continues there.

It's McDonald's. Cheerful staff, clean and 'pleasingly average'. The sausage McMuffins are addictive though. It is disappointing that some of the more unique items (red bean pie) have fell off the menu in favour of more westernised dishes. The Asiatic dishes appeared disappointing, probably as if you want meat and rice there are much better, more authentic, local places to pick those up from.

Friendly staff. Pizzas OK but no real wow when you see the price. Next time I will just eat something else or see if any stores have microwave pizzas. I reiterate nothing bad but nothing good.

After reading much about this and even being urged by acquaintances to try we called in the week and got a table with a couple of day's notice. Win. Or not... I tried the obligatory Peking Duck and yes it was a reasonable duck but no way worthy of the praise and price tag. People say they carve at the table... Not for this white faced person in any case. Can't prove anything but should more than two plates or c 14 small slices come forth...? Some parts crisp and some not so. Again no evidence but if this was a lesser establishment one might wonder about the full back story. Other dishes ok. Some of the older worker bee staff in white were pleasant and genuine. Some of the suits a bit stiff Ok it is scratched off the list. At half the price all things considered it would be good. As it is there are plenty of other ducks in Hong Kong to hop onto another restaurant's plate for me next time.
