城市匯 (尖沙咀)

We were there for a quick dinner before a movie at 6pm, the whole restaurant was empty. It was two of us but we were at a 4 people table and 2 chairs. I asked for an extra chair to put my bag but was told the place is fully booked and can’t spare a chair. Really?? So fine, I ordered the main which was the lamb and my friend a pasta. The lamb was so salty and portion was tiny, it was not edible and I left it on the plate. When they took the full plate away they didn’t even ask why I didn’t eat it. I called the manager over and they waived my meal. The whole time there was 1 waiter and was really rude an unfriendly. Diners be aware.

Via Tokyo (銅鑼灣)

Ever since I tried the matcha softserve once, I've been craving it and decided to skip the line and order take out.  Perhaps it was close to closing time, the softserve was a bit watery.  I had the matcha/vanilla twist and my friend had the matcha soft serve.  I found that the matcha/vanilla melted faster perhaps due to the vanilla? The matcha was very flavourful and was not overly sweet.  It's hands down the best matcha softserve I've had in HK.  If you have a chance to dine in, try the green tea latte as well as they make really cute latte art.

Honey Granny (紅磡)

I've always walked past this little store and this time I decided to try it after a light lunch. There was nobody there at 2pm and I ordered a milk tea flavoured soft serve in a cup with a honey comb.  I've been warned that the ice cream melts really fast and it did...by the time I finished taking 2-3 pictures, the ice cream has started pooling (luckily I ordered a cup!). The cup is ridiculously small for $36 (2/3 of the size of a McD sundae) and the honeycomb is truly the size of a honeycomb cereal.  The softserve has a good milk tea flavour but was watery. After the honey is gone from the honey comb, it tasted like an overchewed gum, I had to spit it out afterwards.  The novelty is there but would I go back, not unless someone else is paying for it.  I'll get my soft serve fix from McD...
