Plato (油麻地)

Quality home cooking from the heart...

Having to work away from home is hard especially not having the food that you can have on a daily basis. There are a high variety of cuisines which you can choose in HK but it's not easy to find the authentic flavour, until I discovered Plato.

I have been there for a couple of occasions so far, I was there for breakfast the first time and without hesitation I opted for the all day english breakfast as soon as I spotted it on their menu  didn't take long the freshly made well presented breakfast was served: bacon rasher, egg, baked beans, hash brown....he very thing ait there should be on a good old English brekkie. Although the sausage lacks the taste from the English butcher but with the addition of early morning sunshine from outside the restaurant, freshly brewed coffee and a juice drink, hey-ho, at least it feels like home!

Second occasion was dinner time, full of families of all ages, people came from work just like myself and also young teens gathering, they must be doing something right, I was greeted by Wilson the owner, he was friendly and I found out he's really from the UK through our conversation. A slightly longer wait for a table then in the morning As was really busy at the time.

The 2 of us ordered:

french onion soup;
caesar salad;
grill jumbo tiger prawn;
sirloin steak; and....
fish and chips (taste of british, got to order it!)

the soup was very rich in the sweet taste of onion, perfectly flavoured; the salad was ok, romaine lettuce was fresh topped with cheese and Caesar sauce, great starters.

the mains came about 15mins after we finished the starters, reasonably understandable during dinner service. 2 Massive tiger prawns for $98, fresh, nicely cooked and seasoned to perfection served with salad and veg on the side, value for money! 
Sirloin was slightly over cooked which was a slight shame as I prefer my steak pink.
fish n chips, more like the pub type fish n chips rather then the traditional chippy type, but surprising good, light crispy batter, they use sole rather than cod fish, as long as the flavour is there, I am not complaining

Finish the meal with a cuppa of Twining herbal tea (lemon n ginger and mixed berries) Nice and helps digesting~~

POM Cafe (旺角)

同班朋友仔搞生日上左黎先知道e家cafe 同 station 3係同 一家黎嘅!
估唔到 食物水準 一樣 咁 好......我 地十幾果朋友仔包左v.i.p room
咁有一果 好有禮貌嘅男仔 介紹我 地食一果party 套餐 每果人都只係 100到
但都好多野食 有幾款主菜 幾款小食 dessert ..野飲重要係任飲.. 都好抵woo...............
食物有一般party食物如肉醬意粉, 味濃郁且芝士夠多; 小食以蜜糖雞翼最為精彩...甜品朱古力焦糖多士都好啫

論食物, 環境 & 服務e家cafe 都做得好好呀,
下次一定要再黎搞生日party

好旺角麵家 (旺角)

Second time I came to this restaurant, keeping the standard!

2 of us went this lunch time packed full of people as always, had to wait for a little bit for a table but was worth waiting. We ordered 炸醬麵 and 朱手撈麵, they were brilliant!
炸醬麵 the sauce was almost perfect, not too spicy, just a little bit too much sweetness, the soup base was the key, you can taste the effort and stock they put into their soup, soooooo goooood I had to order an extra bowl for $2!!!
朱手撈麵was well flavoured, the pig's feet are very tender, not greasy and you can have many without feeling full, love the sauce.
The restaurant was lacking refurbishment and cleaning, price was a bit expensive but who cares, good food is what we care the most

第三站 (旺角)

食物唔錯, 飲品ok, 服務一般, 所以...不過不失!

7條友去坐吓吹吓水, 玩吓board game, 靜靜地, 環境幾舒服


我地每人叫咗一個set dinner, A - F 餐都試哂, 味道比一般Cafe水準高, Menu選擇都幾多幾特別如墨西哥雞翼, 芝士薯角, 味濃香脆
個雞翼辣D會好味D口羅!
餐飲ok, 朱古力普普通通, Oreo shake 幾討好, 值得一試"公主"特飲, 幾正!

可能當日比較忙人手又唔多所以都等左一段時間先有人落order同有得食
口甘口既生意好心就請多個人la!!
整體感覺尚算中上la都有70分口既, 不過要人少D先去穩陣D口羅!過一排會再上去try try口既
