We like sichuan style food and thought we would be a little cautious just ordering the second level (2 chilli). Had the pork dumplings which tasted great but could not finish. (Hot dish) Shredded chicken with dry noodles again great taste but could not finish. (Cold dish) Ordered Spicy Half chicken (which is in a broth) taste fantastic, chicken so tender, could be cooked a bit longer. Could not finish. (Cold dish) Fresh coconut milk cooled our mouths down. The food is cheap $103 for all this. Would come back and order 1 chilli next time. For real enthusiast, this is the place you could really taste the sichuan peppers. Not a lot of english spoken but english version of menu Entry is at 43 H Dundas St, Big Yellow Sign overhangs road and is hard to see from footpath. Tables and chairs are basic but comfortable 推介美食: spicy chicken

Good price and flavour of Peking Duck $48 for 8 pieces Also had Prawn and Scallops with cucumber (zuchini) This had a light sauce with a little garlic, verymild and saefood cooked to perfection, scallops melted in your mouth. Very busy with a wedding banquet in progress but service was still good and platters coming past our able looked fantastic. 推介美食: Peking Duck

I did not have high expectations from Saigon @ Stanley from the other reviews but really wanted to try the Lemongrass Pancotta. We were there for late lunch and chose a couple of cocktails for starters a Mango Daquari and the Deep Blue Sea Martini. The staff kindly brought us prawn crackers, the black sesame ones were very tasty. The Mango Daquari was fantastic, the other not so. We ordered the Lemongrass Spicy Chicken and plain rice. Lots of onion and not much fairly tough chicken without much lemongrass flavour or spiciness. Just passable but I wouldn't order it again. We then got our deserts, creme brule coffee flavour and the pancotta. The consistency of the pancotta was just too stiff and the strawberry sauce overpowered the lemongrass. Once you had some pancotta on its own, the flavour was very delicate and very nice. Perhaps a mild lime sauce instead of the sweet strawberry would suit it better. The coffee creme brule was a good consistency for a pancotta but too thick for creme brule, my wife enjoyed the flavour of the dish. Also caramelised sugar was a little too thick on top. Serving dish was inelegant and the serving size was way too large. Nice atmosphere. Would I go again, probably for a mango daquari but that's all. Cost $385

Jade Garden is all that you might want for yum cha. We queued for ages the night before and just as we were about to give up a kind chinese lady advised us that the food was cheaper in the mornings. We did not have to queue for breakfast and to make matters better, the food trollies were labeled in Chinese and English with the contents of the little steam baskets. The first dish was eggplant with broadbean sauce, absolutely devine. Plenty of sauce which I finished every drop of. The shrimp dumplings were delicious too, not over steamed like Tim,s. My wife really enjoyed the spinach dumpling, again perfectly steamed. We finished with Rice noodle roll with minced beef and spring onion, perfect combination of sauces and the staff expertly cut the roll with chop sticks for us. Four dishes and some nice jasmine tea left us full. Compare to Tim's $94, no tea, no atmosphere, no comfortable seats, no service and left feeling like we could eat more, we paid $119 and highly recommend Jade Garden @ Grand Century Plaza.

90+ minute wait outside very cramped Pork buns, best dish very different. 3 pieces small but good, sweet with sugar on outside Poached Seasonal vegetables was steamed lettuce ( that is all ) , just outside was the finest range of fresh produce in the street market, the chef here is just plain lazy. LARGE PLATE LETTUCE BUT MOST WENT TO THE WASTE BIN (VERY DISAPPOINTED) Spare ribs were tough, taste ok. 4 very small pieces Catfish dumpling tasteless 3 pieces over steamed dumpling (chilli oil helped) Deep fried spring roll with salad, this is a sweet custard in a deep fried wanton wrapper. very strange. 3 rolls would not recommend. Steamed mushroom with fish stuffing quite tasty. 3 pieces Steamed shrimp dumpling quite good also. 3 pieces Cost $94 HKD no service charge. Will advise better dim sum place when we find it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I could not be bothered loading my photos, it's just not worth it
