Fabulous to have this cafe in the area to serve great coffee. The environment is warm, the shop has enough seating and a nice decor, and the staff are friendly. We ordered a black coffee and a latte. They were on the smaller side but very good. 'Competition' is Starbucks at the University and St Barts down the block, but this coffee shop is small (not a franchise?) so it's the first of its kind around here and fills a community's need. Hope they work out.

Food was good, as was the coffee. They can house smoke Mackerel which was impressive. Prices are very competitive for the area. Even though we had unhealthy breakfast food, it tasted like it was made as healthy as possible, without too much salt or butter.   

The basement location, Korean fusion TaKorea is a welcome addition to the great spots on Wellington. It's as if Lil Burro and K-Roll got together to deliver this new side of delicousness. (They didn't - I asked.) TaKorea serves Korean tacos, burritos, salads and appetisers. Down to their homemade kimchi, this is a family owned restaurant. I ordered the fried chicken salad, side of kimchi and carmelized sweet potatoes. Enjoyed everything and will be going back.

In the salad, there are many pcs of fried chicken, all covered in a sweet and tangy red sauce, sitting atop a bed of multi-leaf salad & radish shavings, the salad with a citrus vinagrette. The carmelized sweet potatoes are a very delicious treat with chunks of the sugar mixture sticking off the edges of the potato like icicle candies. If you have to eat your veggies, this is a good way to have them. They are cooked well, but I would've prefered the sugar to be more spread out rather than concentrated at the ends. 

The only changes I'd recommend to the team at TaKorea would be a more spicy kimchi. They are waiting for a liquor license as well. Their service is friendly, helpful and the interior is cheerful. Happy to have another Korean place to visit.

Pain d'Pro makes excellent bread, some types are artisan, some are just great regular bread. Their coffee is going to improve with @Rex barista returning to work at the shop. The soup for lunch is really nice and homemade (I'm told). 

Corn soup - great taste and texture, wish there was more.
Suasage bread - fantastic, ask them to cut it in 3s
Garlic soft bread - rolls of garlic dough make up this loaf
Onion, Cheese and Ham bread - good taste of all ingredients, chunks of onion and ham inside, well cooked with cheese smoothered on top
Sandwhiches - normal sandwhich on nice white bread

Bread is certainly an improvement on the Hong Kong baking scene. Perfect place for a meeting as well.

Your usual good Thai. The tong yum soup and green curry was the best order of the night for us. The fried noodles are so so, not overdone or too oily but a bit bland and dry, but everything else is almost as good as Kowloon City Thai places (the flavours at Lanna just aren't as intense).

We booked right before we came - it was a Friday, waited a sec to get a table ready, and was seated in a private room, 4 people for 6 seater but that's okay. They didn't have smaller tables available.

The cost is good for the location. The service was superb, drinks and food came within a few minutes of ordering.

Easy to make a reservation, a nice dinner with a large group of friends. Beautiful decor and ambience, great food and coffee. Best place I've been to eat and have coffee in Hong Kong.

The coffee is awesome. There are many to try from, and if you aren't a coffee drinker the hot chocolate or other non caff drinks are great. The fav coffee is the latte, mocha, coffee and espressos. They are doing so many different types of coffee, siphon, machine, filter -- All of them are so good, just up to what you prefer. Most definitely the best coffee cafe Hong Kong has to offer, way over 18g low quality and def on par and even nicer than Barista Jam. The taste just beats them all, and the ambience and the overall service is superb.

Ordered a la carte and set menus and were able to share everything. Had a glass of house wine - excellent choice. The starters were perfect, excellent salad and soup and bread was served with olive oil. The best appetizer was the creamed mushrooms. Delicious and creamy this delivered with a side of garlic bread. Could have just munched on this the whole evening. The mains were great. Tried all pastas. Favourite was the coffee pasta (super creative and rich) and the risotto was nice too. All very Italian (legitimate) except the risotto was done a bit differently and not as al dente as an Italian place in Italy might serve, but it was still delicious and made it on to the favs list. The presentation for all the food was lovely, didn't skimp on anything and the flavours all meld very well together.

Dessert was amazing. The tiramisu served as lady fingers with the rest of the ingredients was delicious. Brownie and ice cream and panna cotta were great - hotel 5 star quality overall. I was amazed with this place. Will be going back again and again, the price for the meal and presentation is an excellent value and the coffee is the best I've had in a while, and I'm just back from the USA.

I know they also offer classes and have a place in TST on Ashley Road, Barita Cafe (not to be confused with the one in Sheung Wan). Barista Cafe has great coffee as well and I heard the last winner on the hong kong barista competition works there. Makes sense, their coffee kicks @ss.

The coffee here is great. It's small, so you might have to stand to drink, but the beans are good for take away. Many types to try and always tasting great.
