The hotel restaurant is kind of small but don't let that disappointed you. It is a valuable buffet even the location is not that convenient to those lives in the city.
Alright let's start with what we had there.
Salad: well, first I went to the salad bar to take a look. There is a area with all those fresh vegetable to choose from, and I just made myself a typical Caesar salad with Iberico ham. Those ingredient are fresh and that's very important for making salad tasty.
Roast Beef: It was very juicy and tender like any hotel buffet should be. The server did gave me a thick cut and for a meat lover like me, very appreciated that since I don't have to go get it couple times.
SASHIMI: Getting sashimi is always an important session for having buffet in HK. Typical sashimi they have, Salmon, Tuna, and Amaebi(sweet shrimp). Well, I guess due to their price, the salmon and tuna they use have some tendon, kind of chewy. Wish they can order some higher quality one.
Cooked food: they have an area that provided cooked food. I got some baked oyster, barbecued pork ribs. They also has a cook-to-order area, where one can choose the type of pasta with different sauces. I chose a tomato sauced farfalle and ravioli. I'm sure it's way better than Spaghetti House's.
Seafood: They do have some shrimp, Jade whelk, and canda crab. As you seen on the plate, the canda crab didn't have much meat there. All those meaty one was chosen by other patrons. Wish they could refill it more often.
Outdoor bbq grill: they do have a grill outside , people can choose shrimp and beef short ribs. It was surprisingly good. The sauce was tasty and it wasn't dry like other hotel buffet. One can see from the picture, it's juicy and it tasted tender and sweet. I took couple time of that beef short ribs.
Fish maw: In HK, fish maw is a priced local delicacy. Although it's not a high graded one but was surprised they would provid that in buffet. I guess it's for their target mainland customer. I like it a lot too. Really a plus for providing that.
Chocolate fountain: they said they were doing a chocolate coated theme. They was recommending us to dip some meat into chocolate. I think it's not for everyone, ahahah. I would just sticked to my normal chocolate-coated marshmallow.
Desserts: I took a waffle and I went to the ice cream counter and added a scoop of green tea ice cream on top of it, yum. They also have some tiny size tiramisu, chocolate fudged cake, black sesame cake, mango mousse cake, etc. They are definitely loved by my girlfriend who got a whole plate of everything.
Interior: well they kind of have an 80's HK decoration theme, as you see there are pulled rickshaw and turntable. Should be fun for those tourist to take a pic and also reminded us a good memory of old HK.
