have been a regular customer of this restaurant for a while. Love its quiet environment and the creative menu. Their black truffle pizza is my top pick, the pizza is crispy and thin... and u can smell the black truffle once it came out of the kitchen. To be honest, the best pizza i have ever tried in macau (and even hk too) My other favorite is blue mussels and clams in white wine sauce. The blue mussels are of good quality and cooked well... really creamy and fresh!!
Besides, the chef will always create special items of the day depending on the fresh ingredients he can get from the market!
tried this restaurant with my boyfriend on christmas eve. The christmas set was no good honestly, very disappointed... 1. the turkey and ham salad didnt get enough sauce, no taste at all. I picked seafood cocktail as appetizer, there were 2 raw scallops and some shrimps, the scallops were ok, the shrimps were not fresh (left all on the plate). The main course was just ok. The dessert was almond pancake, maybe stored inside oven for too long... too dry when we ate it. The environment was a bit crowded and there were people passing by our table every 15 seconds...wont go again
saw the interview on magazine, went there and tried with my bf for dinner... the sashami were fresh and taste good, but all those \"creative fusion foods\" looked good, but the taste was \"Just ok\". I would say there are lots of other choices out there if you are only going there for sashami..
Dine with my boyfriend and his two other friends last saturday nite before a K event. There was quite a large variety of oysters, think around 20+ types. We picked 7 types, including kumamoto, coffin bay, cherry stone, irish grigas etc. They were ok, but my favorite would be cherry stones (although they were a bit small when compared to others that i have tried before). We ordered a scallop carrpacio, seafood fetticine, rack of lambs, lobster soup. The best would be the lamb, tender and juicy... absolutely delicious!!! We ordered apple crumble and hot chocolate cake to end. Overall, the dinner was good and the managers there were friendly.
We ordered 2 bottles of white wine and the bill came to around 2700. It was ok cos we have a total of 28 oysters.
I have been to this place for dinner, nice food with good services. This time i came here with friends for New Year Countdown party on the 3rd floor. Live band with great music, packed with people at around 1030 on 31st. Their Moet was on special that nite, so we mainly drank moet throughout the nite. The service was excellent, all the people there were sooo friendly and nice. I really enjoyed the party there and it certainly was a fun nite! Will definitely visit this place more often.
ps. Thanks all the servers and managers there for this memorbale evening!
my boyfriend brought me here for christmas dinner after he has done some researches.... we came with high expectations as there are lots of good comments on openrice about this italian restaurant. I ordered Salmon on cracker as appetizer == tasted ok. Then came my main course "fish fillet" == it was no good (in fact, the two ladies sitting next to our table asked the manager to change something else for them). The christmas log cake was a bit hard (seems like it was DAY OLD cake). My boyfriend's set include : 1. soup which he said was too creamy. 2. lobster which was ok. The coffee was the best course that nite... haha
the bill came to around 1000 ( as we ordered a bottle of white wine as well). Guess i wont visit this place again, but i would like to thank my boyfriend for his effort in looking up a new place to try with me on christmas eve.
had a sunday morning breakfast there. Heard that it is a very famous hk style cafe, so just gave it a try. I ordered a set with ham omelette, a sweet bun with butter and a beef macaroni in soup. The macaroni was disapointing, the soup base is pretty oily. The sweet bun was cold with a bit of butter (only in the center). The omelette was the best among the whole set... but still.. not as good as i expected. Boyfriend ordered another combo, nothing special either
it was my birthday, my boyfriend arranged a dinner for me here. I have been to this place a few times, really like the foods there, not many varieties, but it is the quality that counts!! The foods are of consistent high quality, the service is good too... My boyfriend ordered a cake there and the server brought it out and took pictures for us, they are really nice and friendly. Thank you for this unforgettable birthday dinner. ps. thanks for the flowers too~
really love this restaurant, the service and foods are of consistently high quality. Some of the italian wines are exclusive to this restaurant too, cannot find it anywhere else. I would highly recommend raw beef slices with olive oil which comes with bread and squid risotto... really good ne~~ and the price is reasonable!!
Read many magazines talking about this "new" bar and restaurant at Grand Hyatt, so my boyfriend and I finally decided to try it out last nite. We reserved a table for 2 at 9pm, we were first brought to the open bar area for a drink while they set up our table. We ordered one martini and one lime magarita, the bill came to 180. The drinks were fine and the design was good as a chill out place after work. After the drinks, we were brought over to the dining area which serves Thai Food. We ordered beef salad => $110, small portion for this price, but the beef was tender and soft; steamed mussel with lemon grass leaves => $110, larger portion than the salad, taste ok... ; hot and sour fishball noodles and Pad Thai noodles... which were both good...
The bill came to around 600, nice environment, great service. Especially ideal for couples to go.. should go again ~~
i have tried the other branches, so i came to try this one out.. however, i get pretty disappointed. The food quality was not as good, there was not enough sauce on the baked rice, so it was like eating \"tasteless\" rice... and the meat was over-cooked.. maybe because the chef is new??? guess i wont go again lu
tried it several times last year... first time this year. the foods were exactly like before. Still the same high quality, but minimal variety. However, if i remembered right, it should cost about 390+ per person..... yet it cost 438 last nite.. wondering whether the price has been raised.
it was my brother's master degree graduation yesterday, so i went to have a drink with him last nite. The staff recommended 2 bottles of white wine, and we tried one by one. They were actually pretty good and cost about 350 each. We also ordered nachos and wings. the nachos was good, but the wings were a bit over cooked... well, i should say a bit dry and too much seasoning... we finished up with another bottle of red wine which was a bit tooo dry.. the bill came to 1100.. but the environment was great and there is DJ too. i think i will definitely hang out with friends here again. One more thing to mention is that the manager is really really friendly.
celebrated my birthday with my boyfriend last nite... he gave me a really really big surprise when he took out this "birthday BREAD" ... i personally dont like cake, and he knows that i love the bread from this bakery, so he went there and asked the owner to bake this SPECIAL B-DAY BREAD for me. Thanks to their help, i am able to try this FABULOUS "CAKE" which is made with walnut and herb bread, topped with cream cheese. It was excellent!! Ha ha.. so i would like to express my sincere thanks to this bakery shop.... for making this unique b-day cake!
