Had a stressful day at work and could use a drink, so I headed here. Bar Q88 looks like a typical bar lounge with live music. Not my type of scene, as I prefer my cocktails with soft music or none at all. I ordered My Fairy Lady, which had gin as its spirit base mixed with red date, lemon juice, blackberry jam, pernod and egg white. The upside is that they used egg white instead of an egg white substitute, which makes egg white cocktails taste better and presentation-wise, it looks good, but the downside is that it just tastes like a berry shake with alcohol in it. There was no depth to it. The blackberry jam was just too overpowering. I wanted to order their Rootbeer Float Mule after that, but I was afraid it might just taste like a rootbeer float with alcohol as well, so I didn’t. If you want lively music to come with your drinks, then this joint is for you. But if you don’t, then there are other quieter hotel bars that definitely offer better and a much wider selection of cocktails.

I came here with my husband because he loves to eat snacks a lot. He decided to buy the chocolate flavour immediately, after smelling the dark chocolate scent around the shop. This scent came from the popcorn machine making the popcorn, no one can resist this I am sure. 
After we received the little pack of popcorn, my husband opened the package and took a large amount of popcorn into his hands. Every single popcorn is full of chocolate and crunchy!!

Was recommended by a friend to this feather and bone restaurant, turned out to be a disappointing and frustrating experience. The waitress and butcher was not helpful at all during the meal selection process, and did not offer much recommendation. The whole dining process was unclear , and there was a lot of confusion in the process. As a first/timer in a restaurant, we expect the staff to be friendly and offer recommendations, all of which feather and bone staff did not provide. Would not try again.

The environment and ambience was dim and private - not a bad thing for patrons to enjoy in the overall dining experience. We ordered a few different things to try: (don’t remember the names of them but here’s a semi-description lol 😂) ~ A tuna belly, sea urchin and salmon roe rice bowl ~ 300ml of house sake ( i think they were doing a special on this) ~ Snow crab & sea urchin hand rolls ~ Soft shell crab roll ~ Seared salmon roll with salmon roe ~ Deep fried tofu with mentaiko . We were pretty full after all this and found the dishes to be very fresh. The seafood were all super fresh tasting and the sea urchin was subtly sweet tasting - definitely recommend 👌🏻 . I love the sake - really can remember its descriptors but it was crisp, served iced and had a refreshingly clean taste to it 🤤

Yummy burgers indeed make for a delicious choice when it comes to fast food! They have different cheese burger choices. For the dining experience, they can only accommodate three people indoors. The air conditioning is set to a freezing temperature. hmmm… it might encourage customers to eat their meals quickly, making it an ideal spot for those seeking a quick bite on the go. LOL

Feast of Friends at MâmAmis Just had the most incredible dinner at MâmAmis on Hillier Street in Sheung Wan!   This brand new restaurant takes Vietnamese cuisine to a whole new level, blending it with French influences for a truly unique and sophisticated experience. ✨
- Highly appreciate their legendary charcoal grilling techniques, everything gets that incredible smoky kiss that takes dishes to the next level. The atmosphere is amazing as well - warm, inviting, and perfect for a gathering of friends.

We started with the Chargrilled Betel Leaf Wagyu Beef  - melt-in-your-mouth Wagyu wrapped in fragrant betel leaves, cooked to perfection over charcoal.  The accompanying Nuoc Cham dipping sauce adds a vibrant punch.

 For mains, we shared a feast: Vietnamese Grandma Crab and Tomatoes Soup Noodles -  This nostalgic and comforting broth was bursting with rich crab flavor.    Each spoonful revealed a symphony of textures -   crab meat roe souffle, crispy fried tofu, delicate rice vermicelli noodles,  and juicy soft shell crab all swimming in a rich pork bone broth infused with fragrant shrimp paste.  Every bite was a revelation! - Baby Rack Pork Ribs -  Forget dry, overcooked ribs! MâmAmis takes slow-cooking to a whole new level.   These baby racks spend a luxurious 36 hours slow-cooking before getting a final kiss of the grill.   Pork ribs so tender they practically fall off the bone, glistening in a mouthwatering lemongrass sauce.   Each bite was juicy, flavorful, and infused with the subtle smokiness from the charcoal.   Vietnamese fried rice was the perfect accompaniment.
- To quench our thirst, we sipped on refreshing Red Date and Longan Tea with Pandan Leaves and the Iced Coconut Milk with Pandan Jelly.  The perfect counterpoint to the rich food.
- Finally, we ended our feast of friends on a sweet note with the Fried Banana with Ice Cream. Crispy, golden bananas met decadent homemade  coconut ice cream, rich chocolate sauce, and fluffy whipped cream.  It was a delightful way to cap off an unforgettable dining experience.

Today is Saturday, I have OT. The weather is bad and I have to work a lot, so I need to eat something to make myself happy. Ah Xing Rice Ball has many branches. Every time I pass by it, I feel that the rice ball is very attractive. I saw there is a branch in Kwun Tong, so I went to try it today.  Mine are called black pepper chicken rice balls and sesame claw fish rice balls. I really like the rice balls. They are smoky and tough and have a good bite. In addition to the main dish, I also add many appetizers and meat floss. The rice ball looked very thin, but it was wrapped well and neatly. I already felt full after eating the left half of it, and I didn't hesitate to cut out any of the ingredients. The drinks at Zhongyouquchi are all delicious and surprising. The tea base, cheese milk cap and pearls are all of high quality. Even if you don’t want to eat rice balls, you can buy the waste water drink. It’s really good~

Lunchtime Steal: For a mere $48 HKD, I was treated to a lunch set that could have easily fed two. We're talking soup, chicken curry, mixed vegetables, fries, rice, naan bread, and a drink – a veritable feast!
Flavor Explosion: The curry was the star of the show, boasting a rich and complex blend of spices that had me reaching for more rice and naan to soak it all up. Each bite was an explosion of flavor, leaving a satisfying warmth that lingered.
Portion Perfection: Generous doesn't even begin to describe the portion sizes. Every element of the set was plentiful, ensuring I left feeling completely satisfied (and maybe even a little bit stuffed).

Final Verdict: Tuen Mun Curry House is a hidden gem for curry lovers on a budget. With its delicious food, generous portions, and unbeatable prices, it's no wonder this place is packed with happy customers.

Grissini at the Grand Hyatt certainly lives up to its reputation as one of Hong Kong's best Italian restaurants. 
Warm and Fluffy Breadsticks: The star of the show is undoubtedly the homemade breadsticks. Served warm, they are incredibly soft and fluffy. Dipping them in the accompanying olive oil and vinegar is a classic and satisfying start to the meal.
Prosciutto Perfection: The 24-month aged Prosciutto di Parma is a must-try. Its saltiness is perfectly balanced, and the thin slices practically melt in your mouth. Wrapping it around the breadsticks, as suggested by the restaurant, is a delightful combination.
Pasta and Risotto: The homemade saffron pappardelle with wild boar ragout and rapini leaf is a flavorful and satisfying dish. The Carnaroli rice with Jerusalem artichoke, sea asparagus, and hazelnut offers a unique twist. While hazelnut in risotto might not be for everyone, it adds an interesting texture and subtle nutty flavor.
Tiramisu Triumph: The tiramisu is a showstopper, both visually and in taste. Scooping into it with a large spoon is a satisfying experience. The mascarpone cheese is incredibly smooth and airy, like melted marshmallow. The cake is also generously soaked in liqueur, making it a truly decadent dessert. It's no wonder it's considered one of the best in Hong Kong!
A Special Celebration: We were celebrating a friend's special occasion, and the staff at Grissini went above and beyond to make it memorable. They kindly prepared a cake for us, adding a personal touch to our evening.
Overall: Grissini delivers a fantastic Italian dining experience. From the warm breadsticks to the exquisite tiramisu, every dish is crafted with care and high-quality ingredients. The staff's attentiveness and kindness further elevated our experience. It's definitely a place worth visiting for a special occasion or a delicious Italian meal.

🍽 Crab set for 2 pax 💰 ~HK350pp (lunch, 10% service charge) On this weekend, we went to Tseung Kwan O visit our relatives. After that we decided to dinner in The Lohas. We walked pass Paradise Classic and saw a 2pax dinner set which costs HKD$688. 🍹Lemon Barley Drink 🥢Singapore Style Deep-Fried Tofu This was sooooooo good and delicious!! There were 10pcs in total and we love it so much!! They have cut it into easy-to-eat squares. There was a crispy coating on the outer layer and the tofu was very smooth. 🐟 Stir-fried Sliced Fish with Ginger and Spring Onion The fish was fresh without any bone and the onion was sweet. 🦀 Singaporean Chili Crab Stir-fried with black pepper, garlic, shallots and oyster sauce. Emerging from the wok is an explosion of spicy and umami flavors that complements the natural sweetness and succulence of crab meat perfectly. 🍚Prawn-infused Ebiko Prawn Fried Rice Prawn broth is first used to cook the rice grains before stir-frying with ebiko and prawns over high heat for smoky aroma. It got more than 6 prawns in this fried rice. 🍧Sweet Mung Beans Soup & Lemongrass Jelly with Lemonade Moreover, from now until 30 April, if you ordered more than HKD$ 350, you are able to add +HKD1 to get Singaporean Hainan Chicken (after 6PM).

I arrived a bit early a TST and decided to have a drink before dinner. I was attracted by their seasonal latte and decided to try it.You can also change the milk to their Tiger Nut Oat Milk for free. The drink itself looks pretty. The Tiger Nut Oat Milk was surprisingly good for someone who does not like oat milk. Some oat milk has a really strong aroma that it overwhelms all other flavors but this one didn't. The sakura part was a bit too sweet even when mixed and affected the flavor of the matcha.

Sakeh dinner!! Its lots of nice skewers for dinner!! Th vibe is chill and very japanese like! we ordered their specialty which are the skewers! Our orders are as follows: First we ordered their specialty sake which is Zaku Impression Junmai! its smooth and really makes us chill throughout the night! Chicken shoulder This is the dish of the night!! Its not a normal chicken shoulder, definitely a must try in this resto! its so tender juicy, and have that unique taste that is definitely so tasty! it has that umami taste that makes you want to order more! Chicken cartilage Another underrated dish of the night! definitely not a normal chicken cartilage and it’s surprisingly easy to eat and has the balance of saltiness in the dish! Chicken skin The chicken skin is very crispy and has a good but not too strong chicken smell, and it tasted well to eat without the sauce or with the sauce from SAKEH resto! Chicken thigh The chicken thigh is surprisingly so tender and umami flavour, eventhough its thick it has a lot of flavour and definitely not dry! Chicken heel The chicken heel is quite crunchy, just like the cartilage. Tasted well, especially with the sauce from Sakeh! Minced chicken with egg The minced chicken is soft and it compliments really well when you mixed it with the egg, making it like a sauce, have that eggy and really nice savoury flavour to it! Lobster One of the best dish of the night too! The lobster is really freshh and it is being seasoned eith the lobster paste itself! definitely one of the must try here! Pork belly The pork belly is surprisingly juicy but doesnt feel too fatty! it has that good balance of fat and meat on top of it, one of the best pork belly i have tried! Prawn wrapped in chicken skin This is a unique combo! as you can taste both prawn and chicken skin together, and it makes for an interesting and good combo! you got the freshness of the shrimp added with the good smell and taste of chicken! Beef tongue centre cut Another one of the gem! Never tried a beef tongue so tender! its not chewy and its very soft, one of my favorite dish of the night too! A5 Wagyu beef dish This goes without saying but the beef melts in your mouth, and it has that amazing A5 wagyu beef umami flavour !! Clam The clam is fresh and taste like ocean! definitely a good seafood product here! Abalone The abalone is not chewy at all, and its already so good without any seasoning on itt! Grilled Cod The skin is crispy while the inside is so tender and soft, along with the sauce given, give you a very nice grilled fish that is just perfect, not too sweet not too salty, just in that sweet spot!

Dinner. Still doing 2 rounds. Counter seating 8. Here’s what we had. 6 appetizer dishes: -Cockle Clam (鳥蛤) and Asian Hard Clam with 油菜花 with Miso paste and French mustard -Sea bream -Soya Marinated Bonito (Not aged) topped with shavings of Hokkaido horse radish, ginger and sisho leaf -Octopus, best with a dollop of wasabi. Very Tender -Steamed Abalone. Chef’s signature Abalone Liver Sauce on the side. Served with a blob of rice to soak up all the buttery goodness. -Japanese Sea Trout with Japanese White Radish, charcoal dried Seaweed and Cherry Blossom Flower. Topped with Kumbo leaf for garnish and extra fragrance. 9 pieces of sushi: -Cuttlefish -Baby Snapper -Spanish Mackerel -小肌 -Chi toro -O-TORO -Mix of 羽立 and 馬糞 Uni served on super acidic rice -Tiger Prawn -Sea Eel roll TAMAGO Miso Soup Desert: small slice of orange jelly In summary: truly exceptional. (It had to be, given the ⭐️⭐️⭐️ award and hefty price tag of HK$ 4,000 pp.) friendly chef. Something wrong with the aircon tho, found myself subconsciously fanning myself with the menu.

Recently, Corner Cafe introduced a brand-new menu, featuring a complete redesign from appetizers to main courses, desserts, and even utensils. Here are some must-try dishes from our lovely experience with Jane ❤️.

Let‘s start with the appetizers. The Mickey Chef Salad was a refreshing choice, meticulously prepared with up to 30 ingredients, creating a delightful mix of flavors and textures. My personal favorite was the Mickey-shaped Mushroom Soup 😍🍲. It was not only incredibly cute but also delicious, thanks to the clever use of porcini powder to create Mickey Mouse’s image. The mushroom flavor, complemented with white truffle oil, was rich and satisfying. Another appetizer worth mentioning is the Maryland Crab Cakes, which had a generous amount of crab meat and were incredibly flavorful 🦀.

Moving on to the main courses, the top recommendation is the Wagyu Cheese Beef Croissant Burger. Instead of the traditional bun, they used a cruffin, resulting in a mouthwatering burger with rich and juicy Wagyu beef 🐄. It‘s a definite must-try! Additionally, the Hawaiian Grilled Chicken was tender and succulent, served alongside grilled vegetables, making it a healthier option. Jane ate a whole drumstick 🐔🍗. If you prefer classic American dishes, the BBQ Pork Ribs and Grilled Steak are both satisfying 🥩.

Now, let’s talk about desserts, which were a highlight of our dining experience. The Apple Crumble was hands down the best dessert I‘ve had in a while 🍎! While the Double Chocolate Brownie was also enjoyable 🍫.

Jane loved the kids menu as well with pasta and beef, she dipperd her fingers into the sauce and showed me what is finger licking good.

The star of the meal was undoubtedly the Kuroge Wagyu Sirloin with Egg Yolk, which boasted tender marbling and rich flavour 🥩 and it paired perfectly with the egg yolk dipping sauce 🥚. We also ordered the Wagyu Premium Flank and Wagyu Deluxe Beef Chuck, both of which showcased the quality and tenderness characteristic of Wagyu beef. The Top Blade Muscle, Pork Jowls Meat, and Japanese Chicken Thigh provided additional variety and depth of flavour to the meat. The meal was complemented by sides of Egg and Seaweed Soup and Rice with Seaweed, adding a comforting touch to the meal 🤍. To conclude our dinner, we ordered the Dessert of the Day, a sweet and satisfying end to the meal 🍮.
