To celebrate my best friend's birthday, together with another friend, three of us went to this restaurant after a brief search on Openrice.

The Faith does not have the most attractive eternal look. Yet, the restaurant is truly a big one. It comprises of a couple of floors and and areas and on that day, we had our dinner in the indoor dining area. The color scheme, the chairs and the walls and the decoration all feel rather cozy and elegant. There is another upper floor for outdoor dining that provides a good view of the neighboring buildings though they are not the best looking or most interesting buildings.

The menu is very well designed. There is a great variety of contemporary western dishes. And i also like how it provides quite a number of set dinners for number of 2, 4, 6, 8 or even one. This is rather thoughtful for us who have extreme difficulty in selecting dishes.

First off, we have our seafood platter. To be honest, i have eaten any seafood platter that are not good because i am such a seafood lover. But their seafood platter seems to be better than i have expected. In particular, i think the oysters, prawns and lobsters are the best among the whole platter. Another surprise is the Thai spicy sauce that it served with lobsters which normally you wont have it in normal western restaurants. They even helped us to deep fried the lobster heads for our own relish though i am not a big fan of it.

Second up, it is the salad. We have ordered two salads. One Caesar salad and another one that i forgot the name. Vegetables are fresh and the sauce used are so different from from what i have tried outside which makes it quite refreshing to eat.

Next, we have our white truffle abalone. It is free as my friend has a coupon. And i think it is not very surprisingly good but its perfectly fine as its free anyways. Also on the same plate is our crab meat mushroom. I was not expecting that big a mushroom. And its good as we three can all have a share of it. For both abalone and the mushroom, they both were covered by the tasty truffle gravy.

As for soup, the lobster bisque is more watery than i have expected. So i prefer the creamy mushroom soup from my friend. And the bread was decent and quite crispy.

Our three main dishes are lamb, lobster and sea bass.

My course was lamb topped with some green powdery herbs. The dish was pretty good though I wasn't a big fan of all of the sides. The lamb had a really good flavor; it was quite juicy yet and the light sauce successfully retained its natural lamb favour.

Another course is the lobster. it can never go wrong with fresh lobster. Covered with some creamy sauce and being slightly grilled, it is really successful in bring the lobster into the fullest. I do not know whether it is because of my addiction in seafood or what. I find the portion of lobster not considerable enough for me.

Our last main dish was grilled sea bass. The dish was flavorful and they did a great job with the fish, which is very soft and juicy.

Last but not the least, it was our desert time. We have our chocolate cake with melted chocolate from the inside. The melted chocolate is not as watery as the ones i ate in some mainstream desert restaurant. And the waiter explained that is because they uses a more expensive chocolate to make the inner part. I am not really a big fan in dessert. So i cant really differentiate the good from bad, to be honest.

Overall, i think this restaurant is rather down-to-earth in a sense that they focused a lot on the quality of food instead of other aspects. Their dishes are not as garnished as other western restaurant. And this makes people focus on their dishes more. All in all, i would recommend this restaurant to people who enjoy food of high quality.
