This newly restaurant has been on my wishlist for quite long time but every time I booked here, i just could not make it given various reasons Finally, i drop by this place with a colleague on Fri night spotaneously. It's almost full at 8pm but luckily we get the corner sofa table under the projector screen. Environment/decoration is a bit European style but mix with Projector screen broadcasting US movie "Seven" and Korea music, a bit wierd.
Green salad, nothing special, but generous in portion.

While my friend and I walked around Soho area searching for place to eat, we saw this restaurant with beautiful blue door and window at Peel Street, so we decided to give it a try. At first the menu was so simple with only a few selections, and we were not sure if wanted to stay. Then the friendly Chef (Ray) introduced the restaurant as “Simple & Causal” dining concept that he selected the menu every day according to the fresh material from the market below the street. Since we were not big eater, he recommended a light menu with the Lobster soup, followed by the Mussel with cream and white wine sauce and then the Italian wild-mushroom sandwich. The lobster soup was one the best I have not had for a long time, and then the fresh mussels was so juicy and tasty that melt our heart, we decided to have one more order of mussel. The Italian wild mushroom sandwich was very unique which we never had this before. Chef Ray told us he made this new sandwich himself today when he saw the fresh mushroom from the market, and it was just a very simple and health food for light eater. What we were impressed was by Chef Ray’s warm and dedicated work when he talked to us, and not tried to hard sell expensive food. He said he was not here to make the FINE dinning but the warm heart dinning, and we absolutely loved his friendship and the quiet environment. My friend and I totally agreed the “Simple and Causal” dining experience with “FRESH” food from the market. By the way, our dinner could not have been perfect without a bottle of their white wine (Obsession) recommended by the bartender. The California Chardonnay was very fruity and just good with our meal.

This new restaurant at the quiet side of Peel street surpised me with the very nice and causal atmosphere, yet you can sit and relax to enjoy the OLD Hong Kong scene. The place is just very comfortable to share good time with friends without feeling rush and BUSY and NOISY. The Fois Gras with the Caramel green apple is perfectly together. I expected the Lamb with standard Mint jelly but the chef made his special mint and cream sauce which I never had - Lamb and the special sauce melt my hear... Needless to say the full course really worthed the money. And then the Double Surprise Dessert - Coco Souffle and Sawdust Pudding..... I chatted with the Chef and he selected his dinning ingredients from the market just out the restuarant with fresh of the day.. He suggested to call two days ahead to dinner set reservation, and he will make according to your request - make me feel like I have my private chef at my own place....
Supplementary Information: Very good selection of wine and reasonable priceRecommended Dish(es):
