TGIF and it was my movie night again. Before heading to the movie, we went to Tai Wan Food for my favourite drink, Mango Coconut Milk Sago! The Milk Sago was introduced by my boyfriend several months ago, and he claimed to be hundred times better than what Hui Lau Shan can offers. I had my first cup and fell in love with it instantly. It was when my story with Mango Coconut Milk Sago began.
1) Mango Coconut Milk Sago $10The fabulous drink had the typical Taiwanese Bubble Tea packaging and was in reasonable size. It consisted of 3 beautifully coloured layers of yellow mango, creamy white coconut milk and white sago at the bottom. Shaking the whole cup up would mix the layers into a whole creamy coloured one. The drink was in appropriate sweetness with a strong mango taste. A very smoothing drink with the coconut taste. It also gave you a happy feeling with the chewiness the lots of small sago provided. Never could anyone give a thumb down to this drink..
2) Spicy Fishball $8The Fishball on the other hand was quite disappointing. The spicy was not spicy at all, I was deceived by the spicy looking sauce on the food stall. There wasn’t any texture with it at all, not chewy nor bouncy, just a fishball paste. The fishball to me was food that you put into your mouth, tasted nothing but filled your stomach. I would say its quality was pretty bad which should be bought from some cheap source.
