Berliner, its my third time already and finally decided to write some comments about it. Coz we had lunch at 3 and the movie was at 6, and we weren’t so hungry so we ordered their signature sausage platter only.
Top Right is Bratwurst, still have the sausage herbs flavour to it, but less salty. Bottom left is white Munich. Very plain and very light in the tastes like chicken sausages Bottom Right is Smokey Ham sausage special of the month by Berliner. You can taste strongly the ham and the smokiness. Besides the Nuremberg, other ones seems very industrial, factory made, and it was too bad the Nuremberg is quite salty.
The service was bad, most of the waitresses there were ignoring us......: only a few respond normally Over all 6/10 Table Wait Time: 0 minute(s)

Germany foods never surprise my friend too much as she's already went to 9 europen-countries by 5 years before (i.e. she is just a "youth" only!!), as she said it's not a lucky-job when you busy travel from here to there with a non-stop pattern to please the customers over 12 hours daily within 2 weeks, so she dare to quit after working for that crazy-status around 3 years experience! As we know from some of my German-friends, traditional German cuisine is characterized by some famous, regional delicacies which are as follows: •Frankfurt am Main and Hessen offer specialties like Frankfurter sausage, a smoked sausage made from pure pork, green sauce made from abundant amount of seven minced fresh herbs. Handkäs mit Musik, a strong cheese made from curdled milk served in a dressing is another specialty from this region. •Bayern or Bavaria offers delicacies like Schweinsbraten, a pot-roasted pork, white sausage, a specialty from Munich, a wheat beer known as Weinzenbier and knodel, dumplings from white bread. •Hamburg region offers specialities like Aalsuppe, a sweet and sour soup of meat broth, dried fruits, vegetables, and herbs, Labskaus made from corned beef, and Jükääg, a cabbage roll. •Rheinland has characteristic cuisines like Reibekuchen, Potato fritters with black bread, Rheinischer Sauerbraten, a traditional horse meat dish, Blood sausage, Halve Hahn, a cheese sandwich with onions. •Saxony region offers the delicacies like gingerbread known as Lebkuchen. Pulsnitz is the most popular Lebkuchen Saxony offering. Leipziger Allerlei is also another popular dish. •Saarland offers specialties like Geheirote, potatoes and dumplings made of flour served with a creamy bacon sauce and Dibbelabbes, a potato hash prepared from raw grated potatoes, bacon and leeks, and baked in a Dibbe. We ejoy the meal this evening start from the colourful drinks : mango-sunrise always her favour, while lime with apple-juic wake me up after a sweating day! Foods come within 5 mins, friend think as if we're in a fast-foods-cafe, ha ha ! We cannot finished all the sausage & cabbage though we try our best, so she take away for the snacks time later ! Supplementary Information: polite service but the light is too dark especially we feel sleepy ^^!Recommended Dish(es):

Just a food comment (Non-member) | Overally food are okay, I would say u could never survive without a beer or drinks here as food is overall quite heavy seasoning with salt here compare to some other popular German restos in Wanchai. I was particuarly amazed by the crispyness of the "Pig Hand" and it did it quite well. The "Pretzel" that everysome seems to be a must order doesn't really impress me, it comes out quite small in size and doesn't really taste anything special. The draft beer I would say "so so " fresh, but you would be amazed by the pre cooling glass bottle if u are a beer lover. The big sausage platter not too bad , again it wasnt quite salty overall and taste quite similar. Some German restos have a few sausage distingushed from the rest like coming with chesse inside the sausage so you would probably be able to distinguised with the rest and have a bit more suprise rather than a whole dish of sausage tasting similar. But the potato insdie the platter was fresh and taste so well and not over done. If you live close to the Olympic City, you can give a try to this restos, otherwise , I woule say hit up the Wanchi German restos with live music and more better food. Table Wait Time: 0 minute(s)

Have been wanting to try this place forever but never had time. Finally paid a visit with my brother. Service was mediocre but food was surprisingly good. Haven't had better sausages in town. Does anyone here know of any places with better sausages? Please let me know because I really want to try it out... One thing to complain is if you order curry sausages, they'll just give you some sausages(which taste good by themselves) with a lot of curry powder on top, which makes it really weird and the sausages themselves don't have any curry taste whatsoever. We also ordered the "pigs knuckles" which was quite good. Obviously you need to eat it asap otherwise it turns cold and as a result less tasty. I'd definitely go back if I feel like eating sausages (before I find a better place that is...). Table Wait Time: 0 minute(s)

Being a Cafe Deco group restaurant this could be as bland as all the other cafe deco places. But it turned out to be quite good. On a weekday evening, I wasn't surprised to see it half empty, so we were seated in no time. I had the nuremberger and it came in sixes with mash and sauerkraut. The sausages were very tastey with a little mustard. Saukraut and mash was enough to make the meal substantial. Was a large portion, but I managed to finish it together with my litre of beer. I like the fact you can buy beer by the litre. Saves me having to order five or six throughout an evening. Given that this is a very suburban location relying on local trade, thumbsup for bringing something different into Tai Kok Tsui. Table Wait Time: 0 minute(s)

Came to this place for dinner on an ad hoc basis without any reservation on Sunday 31/7/2011 with the She Who Must Be Obeyed and our little princess. The place was newly opened but all the tables were reserved already. We walked in, received by an expatriate. After indicated that we had no problem to sit in the bar, we were seated at a small table in the bar. Only 2 adults and 1 kid, we could not really have much. We ordered pork knuckle ($169) and sausage platter ($179). The knuckle was great. Not too big in size (compared with King Ludwig), very crsipy skin. The waitress separated the bone from meat for us. The only complaint is that the knuckle was placed on top of potato mesh. The skin became soggy later. The knuckle is not as juicy as those served in King Ludwig but of reasonable quality. Sausage platter was big, but I have forgotten the types of sausages included. I like Germany beer, and ordered a litre of Erdinger Dunkel ($100). I asked a waitor (who appeared to be Filipino) as to whether he could serve the 1 litre in two glasses so that I don't need to drink warm beer towards the end (which is possible in King Ludwig TST) but he did not understand my request. Anyway, it is not a big problem. The She also ordered half litre of Erdinger Weisebier ($60). Not surprisingly, she gave up after a few sips, and I could have the rest. Personally, I prefered Dunkel, which is dark beer, but not as bitter as Guiness. Weisebier was fine for me as well. I ended up paying $562 (with 10% service charge). The service was good and courteous. The opening of Berliner saves my the troubles to go to TST when I want to have Germay beer and pig's knuckle in the future. Surely I will patronise this place more often. If you enjoys sports channels, this may be a good place for you to enjoy a few good games over litres of beer. Table Wait Time: 0 minute(s)
