jc's媽咪 (Non-member) | As another review mentioned, this restaurant really needs more customers (only 2-3 other tables full when we were there) if it is to stick around - so please go, and please recommend it to your friends. We had the buffalo mozzarella, the grilled salmon, and the pappardelle w/ duck ragout. Mozzarella and grilled salmon were both excellent and what you'd expect from a place like this. The pasta was good but the sauce had a very normal flavor...would have liked to be surprised rather than just eating a normal red sauce. Great service, down to putting the cloth napkin on your lap. Wonderful atmosphere. During warm weather, there is plenty of outdoor seating. HKD98 lunch sort-of-buffet sounds like an incredible bargain - will definitely try to get there again while we're in town. Minibus 12 from MongKok train station; minibus 3 from TST. Bus 16 (Kowloon East and Argyle St.) and 72x (Tai Po, Waterloo Rd) also nearby. Also walkable from Olympic. Right on Taikoktsui Rd., opposite McDonalds, next to the long flyover. We were quite surprised to realize that this new restaurant, just 5 minutes walk away from where we live, is the Cinecitta that used to be on Star street in Wanchai. The staff confirmed that everyone moved, chef and al. Quite a nice dining experience and certainly the best Italian option in Tai Kok Tsui, probably in the top 10 Italian options of what one can get in Kowloon as well. Let's hope that word-of-mouth can fill the place because there was not all that many people in the restaurant when we went. Anyhow:
All and all, a great night and long live Cinecitta in Tai Kok Tsui! (crossing fingers) Dinner for two, wine excluded was HKD $698. Wine by the glass is $60-80. Recommended Dish(es):

Had dinner there last night and the experience was very good, although the whole evening only 4 tables were filled, I do hope they can survive in the long run... We have 4 people and were using group buying coupon which entitle us to have a 5 courses roman meal for $260(10% included), we have a choice of appetizer, soup, pasta or rice, main course and dessert, the set also included with 2 drinks to choose from orange juice to house wine, also came with coffee or tea at the end. No choice for appetizer as it's included mushroom with cheese filling and parma ham layer on top, grill artichoke, and crab meat with broccoli on top, they were all good especially crab meat with broccoli, crab meat was so fresh and the taste just right, I quite like the appetizer. I had onion soup for the 2nd course, it's not the English type with a piece of bread and cheese on top then bake kind but not bad, but I was actually looking for a thicker kind, this was ok lah. 3rd course I choose Linguini with prawn and wild mushroom in alfredo sauce, this was fantastic, pasta al dente, prawn were fresh and the taste was very very good, I think much better than the other choices... For main I choose Filet Mignon in rich mushroom sauce, I called for medium and it was perfectly made to the right degree, I only expect such quality of steak from the real steakhouse but this one I really need to thumbs up!! It's so tender, juicy and strong meat taste, this is definitely the highlight of the night!!! Dessert I had apple tart with ice-cream, taste ok but not exceptionally good. Then ended with a cup of illy cappuccino, what a wonder night, I enjoy the food and the place so much, and I also checked with their regular menu, not very expensive, so I'll definitely come back again!!
