What I ordered 吃什麼: Western Japanese Buffet 西式日菜放題 What I think 吃後感: Really fresh high quality ingredients. All you can eat salads, appetizers, nicely cooked main courses and desserts. Really pleased with the wide range of dishes both traditional and innovative! Wonderful birthday celebration for a friend and a refreshing experience for the palate. The desserts were a real treat. Each of us had 2 rounds of dessert and we voted Creme Brulee the best. Upon recommendation. Booked in advance. The lady I spoke to was highly inefficient. It took 2 minutes and 3 seconds to make a simple reservation. The reservation process alone put me off slightly. Anyway. She shall be excused. I have not taken her efficiency into account when rating FKV's 'service'. Service: Even after disregarding the receptionist's inefficiency I have to complain again - the waitresses are also rather inefficient. My meal came with bread rolls. I waved them over at least 4 times making the same request - 'could i have the bread please?' but it was only after I don't know how long that my rolls rolled out. Not amused. Nevertheless they were all smiles, especially the Japanese lady, who was very nice and polite, very much like the traditional Japanese woman. Environment:
Food:
Cream pasta carbonara
Conclusion: No urgent need to return. After all TST's not exactly the most convenient place for me to dine. If you wanna try the classic veg cup, sure - come but by all means don't hold your expectations too high for the other items. Not sure what dinner is like but it's not cheap either. To me, this whole organic/interesting decor/nice presentation thing is a gimmick, food quality isn't high but I know I shouldn't expect too much for the price they're charging. Hmm. Another comment: the veg - you can purchase at the supermarket and make your own dressing at home. DIY. So much cheaper. Departing thoughts: Organic. Is that why the salmon tastes different...? When I first saw the restaurant name, I assumed it was Vegetarian until I saw pictures from the review. However, they serve very fine dishes under the all you can eat menu. There was so much choice, ranging from carpaccio's, fried items, western dishes to cheese fondue. There is also a salad bar.

I've never been a great fan of restaurants which focus on 'health food' and have modern decor, but after being dragged into this Organic/ Japanese-Western Fusion restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised. Most importantly, it’s an ‘all you can eat’ menu for HK$288 ($150 for children). The menu is pretty good: including sashimi, tempura, Japanese style pasta, western soup, appetizers, a lot of vegetable dishes, salads, chicken, beef and pork. There is also a free salad bar. A praise worthy point is that there is no time limit (last order is at 10:30 p.m.). I ordered a Cream Croquet, French Onion Soup, ‘Onsen Tamago Cabonara Pasta’, assorted sashimi (well, marinated with herbs actually), mixed tempura, steamed organic vegetable, lotus root and pork ‘sandwich’ and dessert. They all taste very good. The shrimp tempura is especially good – better than many ‘normal’ Japanese restaurants. Very friendly and efficient service: I believe all the waitresses there have tried everything on their menu – you can trust their recommendations. Recommended Dish(es):

Finally someone added this shop on Openrice! Anyway we came here mostly because we wanted to try a few Japanese imported vegetables and other seafood or meat dishes. Some dishes aren't executed that well here to be honest, but there are a few items which were captivating. For $258/person, this is probably one of the bargains within Hong Kong. *********************** To see the 22 Dishes we shared on this night and the rest of the story, please follow: http://foodofhongkong.blogspot.com/2010/10/farm-kitchen-vegi.html ***********************
