Accompanied with my col. S, we first headed to this froyo shop for picking up the coupons she bought via group buying. Then, she treated me one! A very good one for hot summer! Here's what we selected: Me: Original x berries (2 flavours only, for safe) - plus toppings of strawberries, corn crunches, monchi (they are really a good combination and thus chemistry starts) S: Original x berries (she likes original so much as it's plain and good match for all fruits and toppings), plus melons, blueberries and bubbles. She thumbed up and said very nice. We KO them within like 15 mins and cooled down during the hot summer! I can say a very good treat in summer. It was actually my 2nd time to visit this. My previous experience was pretty awful (perhaps i mixed too many flavours and found one or two with 'medicine-like' smell.........but this time, nothing but give a BRAVO to them !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Came here a long time ago when it was closed due to some internal operations. Anyway, finally came on a day when it was open. The flavours they have now are much better, and there are ten different flavours, so there must be one of your desire. The ten flavours that day were: Honeydew Melon Mixed berries Chocolate Honey and Jasmine Ginger and Honey Original Yakult Mango Green Tea Pina Colada The flavours I tried were: honeydew, chocolate, honey and jasmine, honey and ginger, original, and pinacolada. The ones that had a really strong taste were honeydew, chocolate, honey and ginger. Pinacolada was the best, it tasted like Yoplait's fromage frais yogurt. The original tasted like yakult which was disappointing because they already had a flavour for Yakult, so what is the point of having two flavours that taste similar? There were lots of toppings but I purely wanted to try the yogurts, so maybe next time as I want to try the yogurt chips. Hopefully on my next visit the flavours will all be different so I can try other flavours.

They are very cheeky to only provide very large cups. You dont realise how much you pulling out of the machine until its weighed. When i added my favorite toppings, mochi, the cup was over $50!! Original flavour is pretty bad, green tea flavour is disgusting. Date of Visit: Apr 12, 2011 Other Ratings: Taste 2 | Environment 5 | Service 4 | Hygiene 4 | Value for Money 1

It was my second time to have froyo in HK. The first time was at the Crumbs. That experience was fantastic. I liked the yogurt and the toppings of green tea mochi and mango. Although there are more choices of yogurt flavor and toppings in Tuttimelon, I dont find it any better. The mochi was not as tasty as the Crumbs'. And some flavors of yogurt were just disgusting. And it was also much more expensive. I had only a small cup and was charged 43.2. But last time in crumbs i had a "super large" cup abd it was only 32. If you are in Tsim Sha Tsui and want to eat froyo, dont go to Tuttimelon. Choose Crumbs instead. Table Wait Time: 5 minute(s)

I thought the concept of self-serving yogurt was innovative and nice, but I didn't really enjoy it! I went there a Friday night, the lines were really long, and by the time you got to the cashier, the yogurt was already melting!!! Paid close to $90 bucks for a huge yogurt (well, I admit I was quite greedy and added a lot of toppings haha) I am quite a yogurt fan, but I would have to admit, THIS IS NOT THE BEST I'VE HAD, I'VE HAD BETTER! I felt the yogurt, along with the toppings were a BIT TOO SWEET! They should have made the mochi or the yogurt less sweet because when combined, they tasted too sweet together, just a suggestion! =) There is an outdoor area where you could sit just next to the store, it was pretty nice! But I don't think I will return again due to the price and the taste! Table Wait Time: 20 minute(s)

Stop #8 of my yogurt shop reviews. I will make this one quick since I've already had Tuttimelon back in the U.S. I noticed a slight difference in the taste, but it's been over a year since I've had the original TM, I'm not able to trace the exact difference. This yogurt is probably one of the better froyo I've had in HK. I could taste the difference from a number of the other local shops that use powdered yogurt and unfresh milk. But the focus of this review will be completely different than others I've written. I actually really wanted to give this shop my highest marks since I thought it would compare to the US franchises, but my main complaint is that the staff don't seem to be maintaining the machines. This is self-serve so it's relatively fun and easy to figure out the flavors. I dispensed the yogurt and it came out LIQUIDy! After some liquid, the hardened yogurt came out, but I was so upset that I would have to pay by weight and pay for liquid that I wouldn't even eat (or drink)! I told the staff (a girl who was standing outside in their black T-shirt) about the problem, and she didn't really seem to understand English possibly, but she just told me I have to pump more, but did nothing about the fact that I had a practically a bowl of liquid in my cup. I believe other Tuttimelon franchises would have properly trained staff to give me a new cup or even give me a free froyo for this, but I guess HK is different so to me there's little difference between this shop and a local shop, except that they are using better yogurt base. Based on my experience at Yogurtland, liquid yogurt happens because there's leftover (old) froyo left in the machine handle/tap, so this comes out first. But those staff (in the US shops) are trained to clean the tap. Maybe I was there on a slow day since there didn't seem to be as many people as I expected so maybe the machines were not being maintained enough. In either case, the staff seemed too occupied among themselves (and what might have been celebrities) to worry about me and other the customers. The girl at the machines and the cash register also seemed very tired and not smiling, which seemed uncharacteristic of these shops, but again, maybe it's because I'm not a celebrity. I've heard this shop gets many celebrities so I guess they don't care about normal, ordinary customers. This happened in the U.S. with other chains that went out of business so I am going to make a point of focusing this review on the fact that they want to be so cool, that their poor customer service will hurt their business. It's not quite like the TuttiMelon shops in the US and it's a shame. Well, so far, cool, rather than good yogurt, service and hygiene seems to be working in HK so far. But I find it unacceptable. Sorry I couldn't focus on the yogurt, which is actually above average, but poor service, poor hygiene and poor maintenance of machines really gets me upset. Oh, and because I wanted to try all of the flavors, of course I spent over double the price of what I wanted, including the melted yogurt in the total weight. No doubt, I'll be back again, but only to see if they've improved and they are lucky to have good flavors which will force me to see what new flavors they have, but I'll be ready for their service (or lack of). Froyo by weight? A better deal? Not at all. The thing is, when there are 10 tempting flavours of froyo invitingly waving at you, you'd think: why don't i just pump out a fraction of each and try them all? By the time you get to the 10th dispenser you'd have a bowl of froyo easily exceeding $40. And we still haven't weighed the toppings. The 30+ toppings waiting to be piled ontop of your Froyo scoop. And you'd be embarrassed to tell the cashier you wanna dump some of those oreo biscuits back into the bucket. Actually this raises a contract question - can you do so? When was the transaction concluded? The answer might be simple but I can't be bothered to think about it now I'm thinking about food hahaa figure it out yourself and insist on your rights the next time you go over your budget! (bolded ones are the ones i tasted) Lychee - very lychee! but it's not very creamy. slightly watery, but if you like lychee you should go for this Yakult - again, true to its description but can't eat too much because it's a bit sour. Ghiradelli chocolate - excellent. Green tea - Original tart - bad. plain bad. not worth trying at all. Pina Colada Mango Guava Peach Yoghurt As you can see from the photos other bloggers have helpfully posted, there are a LOT. Everyone has their preferences but when I choose toppings, KIWI STRAWBERRY was sour too....and drab. Jelly Bombs (that's what i like to call them) were quite exciting but I soon got tired of them. You take care chewing them but after about 4 balls the novelty wears. I prefer chewing on my..mochi Recommendation: Other opinions: Knowing that I blog, my friends offered to pitch in a helpful opinion. M my swimmer friend who is probably going to enter the accounting profession opined that chocolate was fab, tutilicious! and that original tart was just fair. IMHO nobody needs to try original tart. it's just...save your stomach for chocolate or green tea! H loved green tea with mochi. H is an aspiring solicitor who likes yumcha. Would come again for specific flavours. Date of Visit: Dec 21, 2010 Spending per head: Approximately HKD40(Tea) Other Ratings: Taste 4 | Environment 3 | Service 3 | Hygiene 3 | Value for Money 2

Still a few customers after 11am
Watching a movie at The One tonight, passing by Tuttimelon and suddenly wondered whether I had written a review on it or not. Per checking my food blog, find no signs of tuttimelon's existency. Hence we decided to taste it again,
Huge Cup - 1 Size
Although opening for months, there was still a line for people to queue for the froyo. Tuttimelon works by weighting Froyo, there was only1 cup size available at store and the cup was huge which was pretty much a rip off. There were like 8 or more flavors available at store, you could have the flavours alone or have them mixed together to give a twist to the taste. The store runs a DIY style, you squeezed the amount of froyo you want, add the dry as well as wet toppings as much as your like by yourselves. Everything was decided by customers and usually customers are always out of their mind when it comes to DIY. Hence I could pretty much sure everyone's cup must cost over $30. What I love the most about the froyo DIY machines was that there was signs describing how tarty, sweet and creamy the froyo you are about to get. Although I found it not very trustworthy later, it was still a good reference to the customer.
Lots of dry toppings choices
We had Original, Honey Dew and Yakult flavour all at once, we also added some mango and Oreo crumbs on top of the original and the Yakult flavour, but left the Honey Dew clean from topping.
Honey Dew - It was the best of the three. The honey dew taste was strong, fresh and was at suitable sweetness. The Honey Dew tasted creamy with a milk taste too. The froyo was extremely tarty, you could literally insert your spoon deep into the froyo and hold the cup with the cute pink spoon. Original - The Original was rather mediocre. It was pretty sour like a yogurt and its sweetness was all right. Although stating a max in creaminess on the froyo machine, the froyo was not creamy at all. There was no milk taste or what so ever in the original froyo. The tardiness was fine though, the texture was nice. Yakult - The very first spoon of the Yakult flavour, you could only taste a heavy sourness in it. It was the after taste that will give you a taste of Yakult. I do not particular like this flavour. Since the original had already given the sourness already, there wasn't much need to invent another taste with sourness, especially when the taste difference could not be easily distinguished.
Fruits and other weird jelly like toppings
To conclude, the Honey Drew froyo taste was one to remember. It was simply fresh and delicious. There was a great variety of toppings choice for customers to choose from, which was great news to people who love toppings. I am in general more fallen for froyo than the dry ingredients, I prefer fruits toppings much more than the dry ones. However I definitely agree the dry ingredients do sometimes give a twist to the froyo. This was actually my first time having frozen yogurt. My friend brought me along cause she was talking about how "you get to do everything yourself!" I guess that was pretty cool. Being me, I got a little too excited and got way too much yogurt. Their lychee flavor was pretty good. It cost around 58 dollars, which is pretty expensive. It was also a Saturday and there were absolutely no seats. We resorted to sitting on the edge of the window area, and some lady came over to tell us that we couldn't sit there. Great.
Pretty good. Took me awhile to finish It might have been good only because I had never had any before. Recommended Dish(es):

10 flavours of froyo and dozens of toppings, this will satisfy anyone looking for variety. The yoghurt had a good tartness to it and very firm in texture, though slightly less creamy than other ones I've had. The toppings were a bit haphazard, with pretty average ones like Sarah Lee cake and cardboard-like cereal, but the taiwanese "boba" and grass jelly were pretty cool and there were several flavours to choose from. The only thing is the chaos when there are more than 5 people trying to get to the yoghurt and then having to queue up for the toppings, it was madness. They need a patrol to sort the customers out.
