Last night, I happened to get into this Yuet Moon Kui when I was just walking around. There were merely 6 people occuping 3 tables. I ordered (a) one bowl of ox tail with red wine which goes with rice; and (b) one soft-shell crab. I was told that If I order one extra bread or rice, I would be charged $8-HK only. So I ordered one more bread. When I finished the meal and asked for the bill, I was astonished that cost of the bread was $18-HK. I asked the keeper why. He just replied that if I ordered the oxtail goes with bread first, the cost of the rice would be merely $8-HK. In this occassion, I order oxtail goes with rice first, the cost of the bread would be $18-HK. It was very rediculous. So I will take it as " ONCE BUT NEVER'. Table Wait Time: 0 minute(s)

Dinner with my boyfriend at De Viet House tonight. We’ve ordered several dishes such as clam and vermicelli casserole, spicy chicken drumsticks in French style, king prawn skewers and some garlic bread. The clam was fresh and outrageously good. The vermicelli soup and Chinese lettuce made a good combination, lemon grass and herbs gave a nice fresh taste aswell. The dish was just 7X something, not pricy for seafood dishes at all! I wasn’t sure about the ‘French style’ of drumsticks, however the sauce was surprisingly good! It wasn’t as spicy as I thought though. King prawn was about 9 inches, succulent and meaty, good for starter. I wasn’t a big fan of garlic bread, but the garlic bread in here was quite nice as it seasoned with a lot of herbs and onions. I guess it would be nice to go with curry casserole aswell. I like the restaurant as it focuses on the quality of food and healthy good methods(like what it mentioned on the menu). The price is reasonable but I think it would better for me to go with more friends so we can order more dishes to share =) The staff were friendly and service was good overall.

Just visited this restaurant today after seeing some of the positive reviews on this site, can't say that I'm very impressed. The restaurant itself is quite clean and presentable, the staff were friendly and spoke very good english. Unfortunately, the food itself was a let down. I received the wrong order (I wanted raw beef noodles but was given BBQ beef noodles instead), also there was not enough soup in the noodles and the noodles were over cooked. Not very authentic at all, my sister got soup with her curry both of which were overly salty. She also got her curry a lot earlier than I got my noodles which meant she had to wait for me. I also asked for some chilli to season my noodles with and got the tiniest slice of lime and 3 tiny slithers of chilli. Altogether I would say that although the staff are friendly, and honest (I usually get ripped off because they think I'm a foreigner) the food wasn't up to the expected standard.
