    Great Value! Smile Jul 21, 2012
    Share with MessengerShare on TwitterShare on Facebook
    There was a range of flavors available, to which you are given the minimum amount of froyo, then asked if it's enough.
    I enjoyed the friendly service that was offered and how the toppings were self-service (meaning you can put as many on as you wanted!). It's important to keep in mind that it's paid for in weight, otherwise you might go overboard.

    The froyo texture was nearly identical to ice-cream, the flavour smooth and rich. I had green tea and apart from the lack of tooth-pinching sweetness, found that it was little different to the green tea ice cream available at Hagen Daz.

    The toppings are relatively healthy compared to other places, and the fruit fresh.

    The only complaint is that the seating is slightly off-putting.

    Milky--not my cup of tea  Just OK Apr 29, 2011
    Share with MessengerShare on TwitterShare on Facebook
    I came to yogo (causeway bay) several times before and it taste ok.
    The yogurt seems relatively milky than yo mama , but the same as smile.
    It is not as sweet as crumbs, so it's acceptable lol
    Although it's comparatively better than some other stores, their yogurt is milky and I don't really like it. It also melts very fast which doesn't give me a sense of "frozen" yogurt.
    There are a few seats inside and you can get one if you're quick. It is usually very crowded when there is alot of people. The people working there have a slow pace and it makes you more relaxed. So if you're finding a good resting place, here it is!

    P.S. I personally prefer only original (yogurt tart) because it taste the best smile

    After dinner dessert Just OK Apr 24, 2011
    Share with MessengerShare on TwitterShare on Facebook
    I went pass by this shop many times but never tried it before because it's usually full of people. Given that there were many people tonight, I gave it a try.

    I had yakult + original favour with mochi + blueberries + granola.

    I am not sure wheather it's because I asked for two favours but it seems the portion of froyo is more than the ones I had in other shops. The raisins in the granola are too chewy. I personally prefer the ones from yo mama and crumbs.

    light dessert after pizza Just OK Apr 07, 2011
    Share with MessengerShare on TwitterShare on Facebook
    i had pizza at Slices Pizzeria earlier, which is just opposite to this shop.
    it feels really nice to grab a light dessert here after the pizza ;P
    this shop always give me a happy feeling, maybe it's because of its decoration i think. the setting had always given me a cozy yet light and happy feeling.
    i had an original flavor of froyo, with rice crispy and cap'n crunch as toppings.

    i liked the smooth texture of the froyo, with a hint of sourness (just as yogurt does). and the sourness was balanced with the sweetness from the toppings, that's why it makes a nice light dessert (:
    and the price is very reasonable here, so it tastes good and also have a reasonable price ;>
    my only concern would be about the crowds. froyo is pretty popular nowadays, but the area of the shop ain't very big, or i should say, there're quite a lot ppl coming in for a cup. i hope that the shop will somehow be able to find a way to reorganize seats and stuffs to create a better spacing for all the customers ;)

    Late Night Froyo Smile Jan 14, 2011
    Share with MessengerShare on TwitterShare on Facebook

    If I'm around the area, I'll always try and stop by Yogo because their Frozen Yogurt tastes great! smile As of last night (Jan 13, 2011), they had the following flavors on offer:

    * Coconut
    * Strawberry
    * Lychee
    * Green Tea
    * Plain

    I chose strawberry froyo with blueberries, mango, oreo, and sprinkles.
    Straberry Froyo with Toppings
    Straberry Froyo with Toppings

    I like Yogo's Froyo for two reasons: 1) for me, it tastes the most natural out of all the froyos I've tried in HK, and 2) Yogo appears to have more froyo options than other competitors.

    Yogo charges $15 per 100 grams, which seems to be quite standard in the market. On Mon-Thurs there is "Happy Hour" between 9-10:30pm, so anything you buy is 15% off. Awesome! The froyo w/ toppings that I ordered last night (at 9:30pm) weighed 200 grams, and the price was $26 lol

    Overall, getting froyo at Yogo is always on the agenda if I'm around that area. The yogurt tastes delicious and the staff are generally quite nice. If you can get past the steady swarm of St. Paul girls, then you're probably in for a treat! tongue

    Having been trained in making desserts for an old job, including frozen ones, and with a trained palette for the ingredients, I thought I should start a few knowledgable reviews of these "froyo shops" recently new to Hong Kong, especially since I've tasted at Pinkberry, Yogurtland and about 20 slightly more well-known chains around the world. Also (in case anyone reads English reviews here) it should help some local people see the difference. Unfortunately, it seems that most of the reviews I've read on OpenRice do not even make much sense, when one person says the yogurt is too soft or too firm, or too creamy, too icy and it's the same shop and doesn't seem that they can tell good from bad yogurt, or real, fresh yogurt from fake, powder yogurt! But enough of my rant. Time for my reviews... Here is my stop #2:

    My second stop was Yogo. I liked that this shop had more choices than many others that seem to stay with an original tart or sometimes add a green tea. I like variety, so I asked to have just a little of each. I didn't want much. The server (an Asian guy who spoke decent English) told me that there was a minimum so I asked for the minimum amount, but when he dispensed it, he put on 150 grams more than the minimum. This made me very upset, since my yogurt should have only cost $20-25 because I asked for around 150 grams, but was given over $35 worth before toppings! huffy

    Still, there's more. The yogurt taste and texture was melting already when it got into my hands. Possibly, the yogurt was not ready, because when I first asked for the yogurt, the staff pumped the machine, but nothing came out and liquid dripped out first, not frozen yogurt. When I ate it, I could taste the milk, and possibly some actual yogurt was contained, but there was a powder taste and slight icy ,which I didn't like. Plus, the flavoring didn't really taste totally natural, but still tasted acceptable. I can tell that this shop is using more milk than is good for you to eat and so it reduces the healthiness, especially compared to places like Yo Mama.

    And here's what happened afterwards, I got sick, and yes, I'm a bit lactose intolerant, but this doesn't happen when I eat McDonald's soft serve. I had bad stomach problems and had diarrhea after eating this "froyo", if you could call it that. This is a further evidence of the overabundance of milk in the product and the absence of sufficient real, fresh yogurt, which contains lactate so it counteracts the lactose. Real yogurt is what you get in places like Pinkberry and Yogurtland in the US, NOT in Hong Kong though. But not to worry, I did find about a few shops here that use a bit of real yogurt with live, active probiotics (this was originally supposed to be one of the main reasons people eat yogurt), rather than dead yogurt cultures in a powder. Will discuss those in my next reviews.

    I have to say that the staff are nice and actually speak to you, but this does not make up for poor-quality product and bad handling of OVERCHARGING customers. I saw quite a few students there so it's sad that youth in HK care more about "trendy" than about real quality. Other pay-by-weight I visited did not force me to spend more. sad

    I even told them that I felt overcharged and the staff didn't seem to care. But maybe some bad reviews will help them fix their policies.

    THis yogurt is delicious, it is not so sweet and the topping is choosen for most common one. The strawbery and other furit is fresh and healthy. The chocolate that I choosen from is also suitable for me, it is dark chocolate. The white chocolate is not so sweet and I like it.

    Tiny chairs for tiny ppl Smile Oct 20, 2010
    Share with MessengerShare on TwitterShare on Facebook
    Date: Sunday 10th Oct 2010 8.15pm

    Ordered: Original flavor + Green ea Flavor with Granola + Coco pops = $34

    Taste: Tasting so many different Froyo these few months and they all seem same, not too muh big in difference. Either slightly sour or slightly sweet. Yogo seems to be on the slightly sweeter side with a faint sour taste but what i love about them is it is ICE COLD!!! Maybe I was eating inside the shop itself, it melted slower. I chose two flavours, They had more flavours like lychee and strawberry, but I always hink it is best to taste original as other flavours might taste artificial. Green tea taste less sour but not strong in flavour. I quite like mixing the both flavours and eating it together. The only flaws I think it has copared to other Froyo sops I have tasted is it is less creamy, does not give me the 'ice cream' taste. The toppings was horrible, both the Granola and coco pops seems abit stale It wasnt fresh and crunchy but but soft. seems liek it has been out for quite long.

    Price: It says 100g for $15, seem like such a bargain, but mine came to $34 and it wasnt that much. You choose the flavour, they give you it so they control how much they give you. so basically they choose ow much you have to pay, not what i call a bargain and there wasnt a generous amount of toppings

    There were seats and tables in the shop. But not enough seats and the seats were way tiny... could of atleast bought bigger chairs and maybe smaller tables so you can fit more seats instead???

    The location is very central CWB, had to walk abit.

    my gf and i like frozen yogurt sooo much and we always try different frozen yogurt, and yogo's frozen yogurt is the best we have ever had. tongue

    We tried the strawberry & lichee flavour with 5 toppings (oreo, mochi, dark chocolate chips, peach & blueberry). Most of the yogurt shop would limit the number of toppings , but at yogo, you can choose as many toppings as you like and pay according to the weight of the yogurt + toppings, this is what we like the most.

    But we both think that there were too many staff at the shop and some of them had nth to do at all. I think the shop owner may consider laying off some of them to cut the expenditure. tongue

    I have tried around 4 - 5 different froyo shops & I believe Yogo is the best.

    The best means quite different from people to people. I think it's the best because the taste of the froyo. I have tried some others which the yogurt taste is too strong so it's kinda question of preference. Also, the toppings choices & taste are better than most others I have tried. Service is excellent because the girls & guys are all present looking with happy face & polite manner, I highly recommend Yogo to everyone. The atmosphere of the whole shop is nice, open & casual & having a cup over there with your friends or just alone is full of joy & happiness.

    However, I'll aware & stay away the comments which keep mentioning other shop names & saying they are better. I believe posting a comment refers to whether you think it's good, then tell us what good & if it's bad, what bad. It is not necessary to mention other competitors name saying how good they are & if this is the case, Ihose good comments should leave directly to those shops instead of here. All you have to say is which things you think it's not good in Yogo & people who reads the comment will know how to estimate if your preference will be similar to theirs or not.

    Remember one thing, taste is a question of personal preference. Just like going for a hamburger, out there are traditional American taste, Jap taste & Hong Kong style taste & I'll tell you I like HONG KONG STYLE the best which is one shop in HungHum & one near Yogo. However, I will not saying Jap & American taste shops are craps because they all cook great hamburgers.

    I'm sorry for those if my words offense you but making a comment only needs to tell what goods of bads you think ON THIS SHOP. Taking too many other similar shops & saying how good they're will only make your comments feel bias for other reasons.

    Disappointed Cries Aug 27, 2010
    Share with MessengerShare on TwitterShare on Facebook
    Went to Yogo yesterday with my friend. My friend is a fan of a rugby player, and she said she would want to try Yogo, as it was opened by a rugby player (?!)

    It was not so crowded, yet still no seatings available (there were people still sitting there after they finished the froyo, just don't understand why wouldn't the staff do something about it). Anyway, after picking the froyo (original) and toppings (oreo, mochi etc.), it costed me around $40.

    Flavour and texture of the froyo: honestly, I think the froyo from YoMama and Crumbs taste better. Further, I think the Yogo's froyo's texture is a bit too watery, it melted so quickly that it started melting not even halfway through.huffyhuffy

    Toppings: I think it's hard to compare the toppings with others froyo stores, they sell similar toppings; as for their homemade mochi, I personally prefer the one from berrygood, their mochi is more chewy and larger in size. Yet, the opening area re the topping section gives me a not really hygienic impression. mad

    Price: well, this was not my first review for Yogo, but again, I still find Yogo's froyo is pricey.

    Conclusion: if it was not for my friend (and the good looking rugby player), I would walk a few more steps to Crumbs!

    Had original and lycee flavoured yogurt - both are of the same colour! The lycee one was quite refreshing. Quite liked it.

    Had a few toppings (being greedy..lol) - milk-tea mochi (good); cereal (so so); strawberry (good - quite fresh) and blueberries (not too fresh).

    $34 bucks for all the above - okay ba.

    Overall, taste was okay - nothing too special though I do not mind coming back again. Taste of the yogurt is good but not stellar.

    Bad service  Just OK Aug 22, 2010
    Share with MessengerShare on TwitterShare on Facebook
    I've been to Yogo about 9 months ago, or longer, it was just 1 month after they opened. The service was pretty bad. They put my yogurt on the weight, and it was 22.8 dollars or sth....then they told me to pay 22.8...all of a sudden...the weight jumped to 23.2 dollars... I already had $22.8 on my hand.... Then the owner, (i forgot his name, but he's the cutest one among the 3) gave me an attitude, telling me to pay the 40 cents extra. huffy

    Let aside the service, or maybe it was just one time bad experience, I've went to Yogo again 3 weeks ago. It was crowded, I didn't see the same owner again. The yogurt tastes more like soft ice cream to me, and i still think Berrygoods have the best mochi which is my favorite!!

    This place is OMG! A dream come true for all froyo fans I say! They have literally every topping to match with their extensive fruity flavours of froyo, original, lychee, matcha, mango and strawberry! Being a huge sweet tooth, I’ve been there too many times I forgot! It’s a cute little place around the corner just a bit off cwb main area, but hey, this place is still always packed, always crowded with kids, gals, couples n families!

    So on Sunday i decided to try their weekend special – orange creamsicle n it was very orangey… lol! It tastes so fresh and healthy especially together with the mango, blueberry, nata de coco and mochi toppings, yes I was hungry haha! Having a cup of froyo in this hot season is definitely more tantalizing than my average treat!

    Here’s my fav combo – original flavour froyo+mochi+mango+nata de coco! Now that’s sum good stuff!

    Did I Ordered the Wrong One? Smile Jul 28, 2010

    Since I submitted a froyo one,
    might write another one quickly.

    Ordered LYCHEE flavour.
    Not too much lychee taste was detected, and for some reason I thought the Tub used for serving here was too big for the froyo and its toppings. You see a lot of void space! shocked

    Anyway this had a great smooth texture.
    Just not much Lychee taste or Yogurty tang.
    Its more milk based flavouring.
