I'm not usually compelled to write reviews. But I am so appalled from my experience. I choose this place for convenience as I was super hungry, I did not want to travel far, I needed simple food to fill my stomach. I've been quite a few times already so I know what they have, I wasn't hunting for fancy food. BONUS, no wait time, we were escorted to our table straight away, food arrived in a odd order and wait time in-between was embarrassing, we selected one starter, one appetizer, two main courses and a meal set upgrade and beer. My friend was going through their starter, main and set upgrade while I was still eating my delayed appetizer, hoping my main would arrive before my friend finishes their food... hmmm that didn't happen. Trying to catch staff attention is hard enough, by the time they reached me, my guest had finished their food and we had rest time, seriously! Staff were not apologetic nor are they attentive, our server was no where in sight. Food ordered; Starter - Salmon Sashimi (previously ordered, same consistancy) Main - Chicken Curry (first time ordering, ok) + set upgrade of steamed egg and hot milk tea (previously ordered, same consistancy) Beer Appetizer - Grilled Oysters (first time ordering, OYSTERS APPEARED TO BE DEEP FRIED IN BATTER, a bit bland with lots of mayo and a kimchi type flavour sauce) Main - Scallop Ramen with Spicy Soup (never arrived) Supplementary Information: How do I feel? I actually heard from friends that Miso Cool is famous for Japanese noodles, therefore I wanna have a try with my boyfriend for dinner. We ordered three different items: (1) Seafood with noodles, tomato sauce - very delicious and with reasonable price! all fillings are yummy especially seafood and spa-boiled egg. (2) Curry fried pork rice - delicious and not very oily, rice tastes differently. (3) Oysters baked with cheese - extremely evocative!!!!!***HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!! I will definitely have it again... (4) Yogurt with oreo - it tastes fresh and promoting appetite! If it offers different tastes of yogurt, it would be much better!!! Overall, it's a nice dinner. Also, the dining environment is quite comfortable, waiters and waitresses are helpful and mostly polite! I will certainly try it again! Recommended Dish(es):

I got a yogurt as a snack while shopping in K11. I choose red bean as my topping.... but, my experience told me that this is a MIS-Match!!!!!! The disaster That's why yogurt is a good match with fruit that is usually slightly sour tasted. Also, it won't be a problem for the combination between vanilla ice-cream and red bean sauce since both are not sour tasted. [How about ... lemon sorbet and red bean? that may not be a good combination for me....]

I went to Miso Cool one rainy weekend afternoon to wile away while i wait for the rain to stop. The food is pretty good for a Japanese fast food plus the prices were fairly reasonable. The soup noodles we had were ample and very filling. We ordered two chef's recommendation noodles - the seafood ramen (no picture) and the spicy jelly noodle with pork. Both were very tasty and have i mentioned filling? Yeah, they were definitely filling. The noodle texture was just right - not soggy, neither tough nor stringy. And the soup, ah. Flavorful. I managed to slurp all the soup from my noodle bowl. We also had gyoza which was nothing special really. Like the noodles, the gyoza was just rightly done - crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and a tad bit too oily. But it came with a dip that had chili powder and sesame seeds. I loved the gyoza dip! It was a smörgåsbord of tastes - sour and sweet and spicy all at the same time. The salmon sashimi wasn't exemplary but i liked how the wasabi didn't burn my nostrils. The service was efficient and the servers polite considering they seem understaffed. Except for the noise, I have no complaints.

Cool name, but no so cool with it comes to food in my opinion. I mean it was alright, unexciting and boring? description too strong? It was rather boring when it comes to the food but had a great time chatting with friends. The decor at its K11 Mall outlet was trendy and contemporary with what I considered funky paintings and fixtures in this semi-open venue without walls. "Too cool for School?" They would like to think so! The Japanese gyoza was alright, firm to the bite and fairly flavorful. Good enough to go without the sauce. The deep fried soft shell crab was darker than I expected, perhaps it was the oil being used. Not a crunchy / crisp as expected with rather thick batter. Note: rather ordinary and boring. Fresh Asparagus with flying fish roe. It looked ... funky with the little yellow figures on the plate but that was all I wanted to discuss. Well, it was rather chilled if you really wanted to know. The Hokkaido scallops and scrambled egg with rice was surprisingly decent, as least the toppings were alright with the hints of sweetness to it and eggs were not overcooked. However, the rice was undercooked, rather too firm to the bite. We ordered alot of starters so we can try more items. The Beef Enoki Roll was rather boring plus not of optimal temperature and beef was too chewy. The Deep Fried Scallops was interesting because each piece of scallop was served on top on a piece of potato chip. Talk about junk food during dinner! Mother always tell us not to eat junk food before dinner, what about during dinner? Why not! The crunchy texture of the chip together with firm to the bite scallop was quite delightful but I wish the scallop can be softer and more sauce would be nice. The beef rice was very colorful but had the same problem of overly chewy rice in my opinion. Flavor was alright but a bit more sauce would be nice! Likes: -Decor and Funky dining wares -The Deep Fried Scallops - unique combination Dislikes: -deep fried soft shell crab - battery slightly too thick -overall rice was rather too chewy, sign of undercooked? Nobody nobody but me! Misocool yogurt is said to be from Hokkaido but I don’t feel the same as the ones I had from Japan. It is a frozen yogurt but not creamy at all. The sourness does not make it better. The only good point is you get 1 free topping. I got the small size yogurt with Oreo cookies but the cookies are really micro sized that you cannot even feel like you are eating the cookies at all. Maybe they should call it stardust. Ha Ha Ha! I can’t chew into any descent sized cookie not to mention eating the cream. I suspect it is not from the Nabisco Company. It is twenty odd dollars for a small size for a large size I think it is forty plus dollars. It is rather expensive and it doesn’t leave any impression after all, no wonder “nobody nobody but me” go there! I should have exercised the wisdom I have learnt from Japan. In Japan the delicious food always have a long queue.

Another new Froyo spot for me! Walking our way to K-11 from the MTR we found a yogurt bar in Misocool. The store is hip and is nicely furnished with bright and happy green, black and yellow colour. The yogurt bar has a gigantic cute bear stand board showing details about their Hokkaido low fat yogurt and around 3 tables in the outside area for yogurt eaters. Choice wise, Misocool only has 1 froyo choice but a rather wide range of topping choices. From fresh fruit like typically strawberry, kiwi to hokkaido red bean, daifuku to cereals and chocolates. Seeing all those choices available on the bear board, however, you found a lot of them missing when you look into the toppings window. A Large Froyo with Fresh Mango & Cookies The Froyo tastes nice with a tarty mouth feel! It has the yogurt sourness and just the right sweetness with it. Although not as sour as the Best Berry, I think Misocool's froyo rank no.2 on my list. Topping wise, I was amazed by how FRESH their mango cubes were! That was when I realised they have the word 'fresh' in front of their mango and strawberry topping tags. The mango cubes tasted like they were just freshly sliced and are yummingly sweet! In comparison, the cookies tasted normal and dull. Given the freshness of its mango, I would recommend people to have their other fresh fruits instead of those cereal/candy toppings. FroYo Taste: ★★★★☆ FroYo Choices: Original Topping Choices: ★★★☆☆ My Rating: ★★★★☆ Price: $28 (Regular + 1 topping inc.) $35 (Large + 1 topping inc.) $5 (Each extra topping) www.cinnamon4coffee.blogspot.com

The new mall K11 in TST opened to mixed reviews.. checked it out since I was in the neighbourhood. Not entirely captivating retail, but I did go try Misocool's (Emperor Group's latest F&B offering) newest outlet in the basement. Stick to the kitchen specials and you'll be ok. Their cold ramen is well tossed and therefore appropriately coated with a pleasant sesame-based dressing and topped off with crunch shrimps and a variety of vegetables. Perfect as the weather turns warmer. Wash down with their Kyoho Grape Icey and it's a pretty satisfying lunch! Their other special of the miso ramen with barbequed pork was decent but between the 2, the cold ramen won. Might not change my mind even if we get into a cold front.. Previously tried their Quarry bay branch, went all the way there to dine, and then a few days later they opened a branch in Central! Ahh I didnt need to go all the way there to quarry bay, and that branch is no where near the mtr. Recently was at K11 to check out how artistic it was, but not that artistic. Saw the separate yoghurt section at misocool, so tried it. As expected it tasted like the soft yoghurt at Berrygood and Yo mama, however the choice of topping were less, from my memory there were 10 choices, but I can only remember the following, toasted coconut, diced strawberries, mango, chocolate crunch balls, and crispy star crunchies. The yoghurt is slightly sour, so chose toasted coconut to sweeten it. However it is not the proper frozen yoghurt like the Apollo fruit yoghurts. The portion of yoghurt could have been more, the center was a hollow hole (as shown on picture).
